I have a Curve 8520. I recently received a message telling me to validate my e mail address but, despite my and vodafones best efforts, we have been unable to get the phone to validate my e mail password (I know I am typing the right password, because I can access my e mail on my home computer with the password). I sometimes get the message that I have successfully validated it, but after the 20 minutes or so has passed, I get the same message as before, asking me to validate my e mail.
I get emails from the donotreply@blackberry.com that tell me I need to validate my Yahoo email. I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password. Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.
I have had a message from Blackberry to validate my email address - this has happened several times and was just a case of entering my password. I have tried to do this and it keeps saying that my password is invalid. It isn't though, it is my correct password.
When i am trying to set up emai account in [url]..., after entering correct user name and password,I am getting following messge and i am using BlackBerry 8520
I have two personal email accounts feeding my Blackberry. One is a hotmail account and the other is gmail. They both worked fine up until yesterday, but then the hotmail one started to fail.Whenever I try to send an email with this account I get a red x and it says general failure. I can still recive messages, just not reply or send new messages to anyone with this account. My gmail account is still working completely normally. I have not made any changes to my phone except for an upgrade of the twitter app. Also I've tried taking out the battery and sim card out and rebooting.
I can't sem to reset my e-mail on maxis.blackberry.com. Got an error message: "An error occurred during email account validation. Please check the information and try again. If the error persists, inform the subscriber to contact their email account provider." I've never encountered this problem until now. Have been using the blackberry for 2 years now. I've been re-setting my e-mail account off and on when I have problem receiving mails. But since deleting the e-mail from the web this afternoon, I can't seem to re-set it again. Please help. Maxis technical people have tried and there's nothing they could do. My web-hosting guys checked on their end and everything is clear. I have tried setting the same e-mail on iPad and it works. It's a blackberry problem.
OWA 2007 seems to be working fine. I can login internally and externally at my company. But when I try and use the Blackberry Internet Service I just get the "An error occurred during email account validation. please check your information and try again." error message.
I am the IT Administrator. I know the settings are all correct. Exchange 2007 seems fine. I have checked almost every settings
I have had my bbry tour for 3 years and never had this problem. I am getting a message that I need to validate my email on my blackberry, but every time I try it says not a valid username password and can't validate. I have my name & password written down so I know they are correct, but the system doesn't recognize it.
I want to validate my email address, however I cannot remember my password and my recovery question answer as well. I've tried the information on the BB website but its still not working.
I cannot create a new e-mail on bb bold 9900 handsets. I got error message. "An error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again."
I have had an email requiring me to log in with my username and password to validate my email (apparently this is something that happens every 360 days!?). For the life of me, I can't recall my username and password. I have tried entering my hotmail email address and password but this does not appear to work. I am unaware of any other password. I keep getting: blank user name. Type a valid user name. I have typed in my email address in user name...I have also requested a reminder for my password - my Curve 8520 tells me this has been sent but I have not received any such email or text.
I've been sending and receiving hotmail email from my 8310 without a problem for the last year, until I changed my email password yesterday. i've changed my password before, but this is the first time there's been a problem.Since yesterday, I haven't been able to access my account, and any attempt to validate through 'email settings' have brought up the "Invalid email address or password: Please verify your email address and password. The information you provided is incorrect." message.I even changed my password again to see if the new password was the problem, but no joy.
I just got my BB9700 yesterday. I wanted to set up my email account and encountered the following problem:There is no option to "I want to create an email account" in the set-up wizard. In the email setup wizard, I only have the option to "I want to use a work email account with a BB Enterprise Server", and it does not work for my email accounts.
When I updated the OS, it nuked all my accounts and wiped my BBY clean, so I've set just about everything back up again.I set up my email account, and I am getting my email fine, but it won't send email. Every message I try to send fails with this error:"Message Status: Transaction error - failure at service."Do I need to set up the SMTP differently, because I don't see that option anywhere?
The moment my BIS username and password is entered - it says that username/ password is incorrect. After confirming my username with my service provider i selected the forgot password option
I get a "General Failure" message when trying to send emails. This occurrs randomly and I have full internet and mobile coverage. Sometimes they send eventually and other times they never do.
I have a bold 9000 thru ATT. For the last 2 months, many people who have sent me emails get this notification that the email couldn't be delivered. I have received the email and some of the emails are several months old! All the emails come from postmaster@att.blackberry.net.
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
Starting yesterday - April 7, my Gmail account keeps losing validation. I deleted account, set it up again. Went through okay and a few minutes later, the account needs to be validated again. The Gmail account is working okay as it receives email normally and I have made no changes to it.
Currently I'm using Exchange 2010 and publish OWA using TMG, I also add a path EWS at the TMG listener. Then I want to add a BIS account, when I create it in the office hours till let say 11:00 PM it keep saying validation error.
But strangely if I validate early morning at 3-5 AM it works. My colleague confirm it too when he tried it, almost all the user having the same experience. I tried with different provider too, same issue.
I had a message on the general message screen telling me that my gmail password needed to be validated. i never had a problem receiving gmail to my general messages before this. I rarely use the gmail app on the phone because it tends to use more battery than the general message space. Here is what I did:
1. I went to email settings and tried to put in the password. I got a message telling me that the password was not valid even though I know it is the correct password. So I tried again.
2. I turned my phone off and then back on and tried again - same message appeared. I read further and it said that if the problem persisted I needed to contact gmail.
3. I next did a battery pull. The same message appeared again when I tried again - and again!
4. I deleted my gmail account from the phone, turned the phone off, turned it back on and then tried to reenter the gmail account and password. It told me that that gmail account was already in the phone - but the password still would not validate.
5. I changed my gmail password on my computer, tried to input the new password into the account on the phone and that didn't work either!
I deleted an app off of my Curve and had to re-boot. When re-booting the status bar gets two thirds of the way across and sticks, I have tried to Safe Start it but to no avail
I got my phone from dubai brand new , nd i live in sudan it worsk fine over there but then when i came to london i couldnt use it because it kept on saying Authorisation failure all the time so i cant text or call and i dont think its stolen because it was brand new when i got it what do i do
When I go on BBM a message pops up "Blackberry Messenger faield to register with the BlackBerry Messenger service. Registration is necessary to use the features of this application. Please ensure your devise time is correctly set, open the My Profile screen and check the Blackbery Messenger registration status."
i have tried the host routing table, resetting the phone any everything, its just not working.
I'm currently using a blackberry curve 9300,the problem is;whenever I try to download music, videos etc it always fail. I've been trying for over a month now but it keeps on doing the same thing.
The keyboard on my Blackberry Curve 9360 will not do anything and same applys tp touch wheel. Can you hel. Phone gets to the clock but no further. It is able to sync with PC
i have just got a sceond hand bb and it dint have appworld on it so when i tryed to download it it came up with this 910 application authorization failure?
I recently got myself a 9360 and I love the phone. I also upgraded the unit to 7.1.0.336 and it works great except one thing. I cannot seem to send or receive emails using my corporate account. The account uses BIS and I never really had problems with it when I was using my older 9300. When I migrated to the new phone using phone switch, the corporate email doesn't work anymore. Whenever I would send an email, a red X appears and it says General Failure. My Gmails work fine. I tried a number of batter pulls after I deleted and recreated the account on my phone and still nothing. I even tried resending the service books and still nothing. I even have full access to my BIS through my subscriber and recreated my email there and still nothing.
