I have two Atrix 2 phones. Both have received the ICS push from AT&T. Neither are rooted, and the download was without incident.
On one of the phones, the led notification does not work when emails are received. On the other phone, the led notification works fine.
I see no way to turn it on or off in system settings.
Reading on another forum that the Atrix 2 does not have a notification LED.

So I uninstalled the app and now the LED notification light does not blink when it is in screen off mode. It blinks twice when you lock it, then the notifications stop. HELP! How do I reset the green notification flash?
View 8 Replies View RelatedThis botched release of ice cream has taken a lot of time. Support personnel don't know the product. I've been disconnected twice from Motorola personnel. That's an old trick - hang up on the customer in mid-sentence - pretend it's a phone problem - don't call back.
I've figured out most of the goop. The last problem I have is that I do get the green notification light for text messages but it's gone for e-mails. Does anyone know how to get the light back?
Motorola, you did a poor job with this release. Support personnel don't know the product and you are way understaffed to handle all the calls.
I have a new RAZR M and the notification light doesn't seem to work. It doesn't light when new email is received or when I plug it in to charge.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.

Something changed recently and now I only get grey notification icons for the email accounts. I'm not sure what changed though.

I have a bold 9000 thru ATT. For the last 2 months, many people who have sent me emails get this notification that the email couldn't be delivered. I have received the email and some of the emails are several months old! All the emails come from postmaster@att.blackberry.net.

I had never realised there was a notification light until recently when my daughter with the same model came back from college and I saw the light flashing on her unit.I then realised that my unit's light has never flashed on any notifications, whether they be updates waiting, new Gmail etc. I know that the notiifcation light option has to be on in settings (which it is) and the unit has to be in standby mode with the screen off but even with both those conditions active and notifications pending, there is no light.

I have used Android App Killer to shut down everything that is running and I cannot find a reason for the light to be on. Even disabling the light in settings will not stop it, nor will turning off notifications. When I reboot the tablet, it works as normal again for a few days. It gets kind of annoying to wake up to get a drink and see that light flashing because of a new email like a new photon or an email. The green LED is on and solid, the screen is black (sleeping) and it refuses to wake up.
