I factory reset my phone recently and was getting email notifications where the icons were coloured (red @ sign for IMAP and blue background sync sign for Exchange based accounts). Something changed recently and now I only get grey notification icons for the email accounts. I'm not sure what changed though.
how to get the coloured icons again?
I was just using the Bionic to check email when bang, everything disapeared. o email screen, no phone icon or other bottom row and now notifications.All I had was 3 or 4 icons per screen and I could look at the screens double tapping the home and getting the big view. But most apps were missing from the home pages though and none would start. I finally realized that I was seeing a zoomed image of the home page scroller screens.I tried everything to get to the apps drawer but couldn't. I wanted to snap a screengrabber.I had to shut it down, restart and phone is back to normal.The image I'm attaching is mocked up from a capture I made with no background. Wish I could have captured it for real.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two Atrix 2 phones. Both have received the ICS push from AT&T. Neither are rooted, and the download was without incident.
On one of the phones, the led notification does not work when emails are received. On the other phone, the led notification works fine.
I see no way to turn it on or off in system settings.
Prior to the GB update there was an option to trigger a Notification Sound only on receipt of the first email. Upon receipt of subsequent emails, the phone would remain silent. I cannot find a similar setting in GB.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange issue on my BlackBerry 9700 Bold, which I got on Orange UK. For some reason my E-mail and SMS Notifications are stacking under the same icon. So for example if I have 3 e-mails and 1 text it shows 4 as the e-mail Notification icon. I have friends on Vodafone who get two separate icons. So far I've tried the following: I've tried updating the firmware to the latest sticky at the top of this forum. Making sure Display New message indicator under General Options is set to yes Battery pull. I still get a red star over the SMS icon in the menu, but just no notification. In my themes menu I have Precision Zen and Precision Orange. Both have the same issue.

In my n85's display one of the cells have lost it green color and when I apply green themes to showing pictures with a highlight of green color there is a dark dot in display how can I fix it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to move or re-arrage an icon on my Atrix 2, the icon disappears and goes right back to the main apps section. It doesn't matter if I try to move the icon from one screen to the next or if I try to move it to another place on the same screen. Basically, the way my screen is currently set up is the way it has to stay.This just started today. Also, when I completed my first phone call today, the screen froze and I had to restart the phone. The same thing happened with the first text of the day. And my notifications are hit or miss. Sometimes I get my audible notifications and sometimes I don't. Also, I got a phone call today but the ringer didn't work. This only happened once but I found that odd. I just happened to look down and see that a call was coming in. All of this just started today.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMine show as grey. I've currently selected red as the colour theme. The text bubbles used to show red but then I started messing with various colour schemes and it seems to be stuck on grey no matter what I do. As well when I receive an incoming call the answer button shows as grey. Seems weird.
The red texts were also when I had my sim in slot 1. I noticed my signal strength is significantly better in slot 2 than slot 1.
No reason for that: one day it just disappeared, leaving a blank line between the 2 black horizontal separator. I'm running the app with a red @ as icon, which was proposed by the device once started up.Please don't tell me to update the software, set the notification as visible, doing a hard reset, as I already did it all this stuff.I read somewhere to delete the file C:private10202be9persist which can be found by using X-plore. Again: I did install it, but that folder named private is not shown (shall I think that there isn't any?).Does anyone reckon that this issue may be fixable?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI performed a factory reset today to remove MySpace from my phone (I was unable to remove it any other way) and now I am having an issue with my phone.A number of my notification icons are now showing in gray instead of in color. The two that stand out the most are email notifications from POP emails (the red stamp) and from Gmail. Each of these now shows as a gray icon. This is minor, but annoying that my phone is behaving differently than it should. I am running 2.3.4 and have tried multiple resets (full resets removing all data and media)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Adobe Flash and Adobe Air from Market. When I went to the Application Tray Icon on my home screen and opened it, there was NO Icon for either Adobe Flash, or Adobe Air, there was however on the first page a icon for "Flash Settings"
When I went to Manage Apps/Applications from Settings...., Both the Proper Icons for Air and Flash were showing.... Is this proper or should I also be seeing a Icon for them both in the Applications Tray as well-?

View 12 Replies View RelatedFinally installed GB, immediately noticed from icon visual changes, thats cool, however the H+ icon in the notifications bar, is a white box now (with H+ in black) and the battery is asolid green battery shape, both icons before were much better detail wise, can I change those or stuck with them?2) At teh bottom the green phone has change positions and graphics, ok I supposed will get used to it, same for O moved to right and different icon, ok again.However I now have two in middle one envelope and one odd blue one, I'd like to move them, but do not seem able to, holding down the icon and moving to trash does not work

I tend to keep my phone's home pages as minimalistic as possible, only have one, and use Circle launcher on that one page to access my most used apps. Occasionally my phone adds a shortcut to a random app on a second homepage, sometimes its an Icon for an app that no longer is installed on the device. I really like the ability on the Moto devices to customize the # of start screens, the swipe up features of the locked icons at the bottom of the screen for a quick glance is a really nice touch, works great.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the Atrix HD and the notification light is only working when I reboot the system, then once the system is on, the notification light no longer works. My original Atrix has a settings option to turn the notification light on/off, but the Atrix HD has no such settings option which was in the 'display' settings on my original Atrix. I then tried the 3rd party apps, such as Light flow, and LED tester etc... none work, even though Light flow overrides the phone settings its still not functioning. I even went through and rebooted the phone, and also w/a technician on the phone and the same thing. the notification light will blink green during system reboot, but after that, it ceases to function. This seems trivial but it's a huge help when im working w/all the msgs I get to determine if I get an important msg or not and one of the reasons I stuck with the motorola line. i've checked hundreds of forums, and spoke to various tech supports, and I cant seem to get a answer that works.

But as always if it is something the customer wants it drags out but if it is to benefit ATT it is out like a flash.
