Gmail been broken for the past few days. A song plays every time I get a email and I can't stop it. Byond frustrating. How can I set gmail notification to be different?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have g-mail as a app in my Motorola atrix 4g cell phone. I press g-mail and it tells me no connection. How can I get connected back to it? Also, yesterday I was connected to g-mail. I deleted or moved some e-mails to trash. Then I went to trash to try and clear that list out of my phone. But I couldn't it that list cleared. How do you clear the trash list in g-mail?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI love that Motorola has built in unread counts to certain icons (email, text message, hone, calendar, etc.) but I noticed that there isn't an unread count for the gmail icon.Was this done on purpose? Or am I missing a settings option where I can turn this on?Also, I don't know if the calendar app on Moto phones did this before, but it's a nice touch that the icon changes with the current date.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll the birthdays in my gmail contacts were originally working fine on my Atrix.However since the update they do not sync properly. If I add a new contact the birthday doesn't show and if I change the birthday of an existing contact the birthday disappears on the Atrix. They dates show on the contact information but do not appear on the calendar.In addition, if I change or enter a birthday for a contact using the phone it always changes the entry to the previous day after I hit the SAVE button. For example, change a contact's birthday to April 1 and after saving it shows March 31 (which is what gets synced back to google). It doesn't show up on the calender under either date however.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to GB, lost all my phone numbers in my contacts, but thankfully the special app worked and I retrieved them. I want to sync with gmail, but I must of choose the wrong default option, when you add a new one, it asks you gmail or motoblur, always use this choice.
I added a contact and it looks like its a motoblur contact, when I go into accounts motoblur has a lock symbol next to it (odd).
anyhow to the questions:
1) How do I change add contacts to use gmail, now that I do not have a choice when adding new contacts.
2) Is there a qucik guide to remote wipe.
3) Someone mentioned they used motoblur to find their phone, how can I do that?
4) How often does my contacts/books etc sync with gmail, can you increase/decrease it?
I just upgraded to 2.3.4 or 4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en.US, whatever you want to call it. Now, Gmail doesn't show up in the Messaging app, only my texts and Yahoo email. Is this a 'feature,' or can I do something to get Gmail back in the messaging app?

I have sort of good connection and i tested uploading pics on facebook and picasa with out any problem, but with gmail it just stays at sending and some times it even don't show that status in gmail client. It is so frustrating. I have reset my phone manytimes and I have updated software.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I send photo's via Gmail they sit in the outbox forever. I have to kill the Gallery or the Media Storage service and then the photo will go. Regular emails go fine. I have tried resetting all the cache on each of the applications and still nothing. I also reformatted my storage and still the same problem.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have the Atrix HD and the notification light is only working when I reboot the system, then once the system is on, the notification light no longer works. My original Atrix has a settings option to turn the notification light on/off, but the Atrix HD has no such settings option which was in the 'display' settings on my original Atrix. I then tried the 3rd party apps, such as Light flow, and LED tester etc... none work, even though Light flow overrides the phone settings its still not functioning. I even went through and rebooted the phone, and also w/a technician on the phone and the same thing. the notification light will blink green during system reboot, but after that, it ceases to function. This seems trivial but it's a huge help when im working w/all the msgs I get to determine if I get an important msg or not and one of the reasons I stuck with the motorola line. i've checked hundreds of forums, and spoke to various tech supports, and I cant seem to get a answer that works.

View 11 Replies View Relatedi get a voicemail and will use the notification bar voicemail notification to dial and listen to my voicemail, It will dial and connect and play my voicemail, but while in this call: I can slide up and down the notifcation bar, but any other input is simply ignored. The 4 home buttons on the bottom work, the finger print reader works but I can't select power off, I can't hangup the call since all main screen input is simply ignored. Once the voicemail call times out due to no input, and disconnects the call, the phone turns back to normal operations: I can select apps, widgets on the main portion of the screen. When I simply go to the dialer and select the voicemail entry in my phonebook or hold down the '1' key, the phone will call my voicemail and I can do/use all functions.

The phone at preset has exactly two SMS messges showing in handcent and is displaying about 15 emails in the gmail applet. I am sure I am missing something.
View 12 Replies View RelatedIf I send myself an email from my computer to my phone I get it in a minute, but without any notification other than the LED. No sound even though I have the notification sound on in settings and the volume up.
Sending an email is another story. The phone says it is sending it, but last night I ended up going to bed after a couple hours without having received two emails going from my phone to my computer, both with pics. This morning I had finally received the emails and the funny thing was, the sent time would have been correct, even though my computer did not actually receive them at that time. They must have been in At&t limbo for a couple hours???
This morning same thing. I took a pic, sent it to my computer, and upon opening Gmail it says it is sending (in red), but I'm simply not getting it. Is this a phone problem or an At&t problem? It's a bad problem, I'll tell you that. I can't be waiting a couple hours for someone to receive an email.
In the meantime, I'm going to send myself an email without a pic and see if that goes through right away.
In my motor blur account i have several email accounts but only one make a sound when it come in. Is there away to kill the sound for that email come in without turn off the sound on the phone it is yahoo.com email my other email donot make sound and only show in my notification when drop the screen.

On one of the phones, the led notification does not work when emails are received. On the other phone, the led notification works fine.
I see no way to turn it on or off in system settings.
I made a mistake, well now it feels like a mistake, of installing light flow led controller on my Atrix 2 and it was a complete fail. So I uninstalled the app and now the LED notification light does not blink when it is in screen off mode. It blinks twice when you lock it, then the notifications stop. HELP! How do I reset the green notification flash?
