View 4 RepliesI was delighted to see I can finally upgrade my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did so at once.Unfortunately I discovered all the pre-set alarm and notification sounds from the original factory settings are gone now and most of them have been replaced by rather lame ones. Is there any way to recover or download the old OS5 Bold 9700 sounds from a official (!) source?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a Razr Maxx and over the past 3 days, my phone has been sounding the Highwire ringtone for some unknown reason randomly and sometime 5 or 6 times in a row. There's no message corresponding, no notifications. Just random alert sounds and i don't have Highwire set to any apps or alerts.I don't really want to remove the 10 apps or so i've installed in the past few days, i'd rather get down to the source of the problem

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been wakened several times a night by notification tones randomly going off for no reason while phone is docked. Seems a lot of folks are having the same experiences. I expect to hear the initial phone docking notification and the battery full notification is turned off so that aint it. I'd turn off notifications but that's a pathetic fix.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOn DROID 2 I can't seem to figure out how to set a different notification sound for each email account (corporate sync, comcast, etc.). Is it possible to do this without installing a 3rd party app? I swear I had this setup before on the DROID 2 (had to do a factory reset to try to resolve an issue), but can't figure it out. My friend has the same issue on the DROID 3 and can't figure it out. I also already know that Gmail can set up different ones if you filter through that, but that's not what I want.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a major problem. Ever since upgrading to Android 2.3 (currently 2.3.6) none of my market camera apps are able to silence the shutter noise. This is extremely frustrating and forces me to use the motorola app which offers less control and produces lower quality photos. Any idea how to fix this? It appears to be a problem specifically with the implementation of Android on the Atrix.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to silence that awful groaning/growling sound that occurs when the 15% and 5% battery levels are reached? I don't want to silence the whole phone, just that annoying sound. Even the ability to change it to something more pleasant would be an improvement. If Blur won't allow this, is there something in the Market that would accomplish the same thing?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had the Droid Turbo for just over a week now. My notification sounds for my texts, my yahoo email and also Facebook will work for a day or two and then they will all stop working. I have tried running the phone in safe mode and that did not work. If I reboot the phone the ywill start working again but only for a day or two.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I am activly chatting with someone, each message recieved is playing the alert sound, and displaying in the notification bar. This didn't happen on my DX. On the DX, all sounds and alerts were muted for an app while I was activly using it. I don't want chat alerts WHILE I am chatting.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my original Droid there was an option to select which account I wanted to look at or even combine the inboxes and when one was selected I could set sounds for that account. On my Bionic I couldn't find a way to switch between accounts so I made separate icons for each but it turns out that when I set the sound on one it changes both.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIt seems like many times when I plug my phone into a USB cable attached to my laptop (which is my normal method for charging it), charge the phone, and then detach the phone from the cable, I have to go back through and reassign personal tones for SMS messages and email accounts. Every sound has defaulted back to my default phone ringtone, and when I go back into my sound settings, my default notification says "unknown notification". If I tap on it to hear what sound it is, it plays my default ringtone. I monitor 8 email accounts and assign different notification sounds for each one. I also have personal SMS sounds for any texts from my wife or ESPN. It's annoying when I disconnect my USB cable to have to go back through everything and reassign these different tones.
Just some notes: ***This problem only seems to happen when I leave the phone connected to the USB cable for an extended period of time (such as overnight) or when I have copied some files from my laptop to my phone's SD card***All of my sounds are stored on my SD card. This problem acts as if the phone loses any mappings to files on the SD card if it is connected as a mass storage device for an extended period of time***I use the built-in email program for monitoring all my email accounts***My default USB computer connection is selected as Mass Storage since MotoCast and ZumoCast are not supported by the Electrify 2
When I had my Incredible I was able to set a different notification sound for each Gmail account (2), Facebook, voice-mail, texting, etc. When I do this on my Maxx with ICS whatever the last one is that I set up automatically becomes the :default sound" and all the apps use that sound...it overrides the sound that I set in each individual app. How can I get what I want done?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe ICS update installed flawlessly and was working without issue until last night. I noticed that my personally assigned ringtones and notifications were suddenly gone. I went through the tedious process of reassigning all the sounds again and all was good, until I plugged the phone into the USB port on my pc to charge. I'm aware the SD card is not identifiable when plugged in, so I thought to move my personalized sound app back to the phone, but after again reassigning the sounds, they get "lost" when I plug the cable into the USB port. This seems to happen randomly, because overnight, my sounds were "lost" and the phone was only plugged in to a wall charger. I Googled and it appears the problem did occur on other phones when they received the ICS update
View 14 Replies View Relatedwhy Apple put a hardware silence switch on the iphone. Turning this thing on / off, or even launching apps (especially games) is impossible to do in any scenario when you can't make any noise since there's no way to be sure it's not going to start making noise. For example ...you're sitting in a meeting, you need to turn on your phone (or reboot or whatever) so you cleverly do so without anyone noticing, but the Atrix rewards you with a power-beep plus notification tones for the internal and SD storage.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Motorola Electrify since the middle of November last year and didn't really notice it too much for atleast a couple months, but recently if I dont reboot my phone for more than 2 days, and sometimes sooner than that, it will stop playing any notification sounds and just now it didn't even play any ring sound at all when I just received a call. It vibrated, but didn't play any sound. This is getting frustrating. I have even factory reset my phone a few weeks ago because of other things, and it still hasn't fixed this issue. In fact it seems to be getting worse. At first it was SOME notification sounds after 4 or 5 days not rebooting, now its all notification AND ring sounds after just a couple days. I have the app "Tasker" installed and have sounds associated with some profiles, but don't really think thats the problem because its not just sounds associated with the app, its system events too, like receiving a call, etc.
View 15 Replies View RelatedMy Bravo will not play any notification sounds. This happened after I downloaded the app Zedge for my phone. I selected and downloaded a notification sound from them, (I've used this app a ton!) and set it on my phone. It worked but I got sick of it and tried to change it. It still played the original tone. So I deleted it from my phone, selected a diff tone, and now it won't play any notification sound at all when I get a text. I figured it out. I went into my text messages. Then hit the menu button, and settings... from there I chose a notification tone and then it worked.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from the original droid and I am a little frustrated by the DroidX2.While the phone is docked, the notification sound is randomly (seemingly) going off, multiple times thoughout the night. View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Stock Alert from Pocket Tools. It supposedly gives alerts when prices move up or down past a user defined amount. Unfortunately, it gives many spurious alerts with little rhyme or reason. Has anyone had better luck with some other application? I wrote to the developer and got no response so I am ready to forget this one. I am running Android 2.4 on my Atrix.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a Droid Razr M and can not find out how to set the notification alert for messages and missed calls. I want to set the alert and have it remind me every two minutes of so that I have new messages and or missed calls. This is how my old phones used to work... I would get an audible alert every 2 minutes until I viewed the messge, etc.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOccasionally the sounds on my LG VX8600 just shut off for no apparent reason. I can still make and receive calls and hear people talking but the phone doesn't ring, makes no alert sounds of any kind and doesn't even beep when using the keypad. The only way to get the sounds back seems to be restarting the phone or going to the tools and settings menu and viewing the volume. The volume settings aren't changed and I don't need to change them to get the sounds back, just viewing any volume setting seems to be enough.

Alert sounds seem to be softer under Marshmallow? I feel like before I updated that the same exact sounds were very loud if I had the alert volume turned all the way up, but now not so much. I would think it's my custom sounds that I have for texting and email arriving, except the factory default alerts are also very soft now too. It's certainly not the speakers themselves, because if I play music, it's blazing loud.
