Mar 19, 2012I no longer hear any key clicks or notification sounds, only a faint buzz from vibration, on my iphone 4S. Ringtone is still audible. Siri is also muted though I see the microphone is being activated. However, no other tones are. Checked all settings in sounds and all seems correct. When I push the volume button on the side, the display says ringer (headphones). So, I plugged headphones in and I am able to hear all of the sounds through them but not without the headphones. I've tried turning the phone off and on again and resetting with no results.

BB Bold 9650 :: Low Ringer And Alert Volumes?
Jun 27, 2010I am on my 4th 9650 ( Sprint ) Bold phone in 2 weeks .. for some reason or another the ringer tones are lower then the Curve I had prior to this. All 4 phones have had low volume in all the ringer modes and alert modes including BB messenger. I have tried everything possible to raise the volume with no luck. Sprint tells me this is as good as it gets and even the Sprint store demo phone was the same. I have the main ringer on loud and all the volumes modes for each ringer are on number 10. I had a Black Berry Curve Nextel push to talk before this and the ringer tones were a lot louder. This is driving me nuts as I have missed calls. I have tried at least 10 different tones and they all are not what I would call loud. Can some one help me out here?

Jun 17, 2010Occasionally the sounds on my LG VX8600 just shut off for no apparent reason. I can still make and receive calls and hear people talking but the phone doesn't ring, makes no alert sounds of any kind and doesn't even beep when using the keypad. The only way to get the sounds back seems to be restarting the phone or going to the tools and settings menu and viewing the volume. The volume settings aren't changed and I don't need to change them to get the sounds back, just viewing any volume setting seems to be enough.

Jan 15, 2016Alert sounds seem to be softer under Marshmallow? I feel like before I updated that the same exact sounds were very loud if I had the alert volume turned all the way up, but now not so much. I would think it's my custom sounds that I have for texting and email arriving, except the factory default alerts are also very soft now too. It's certainly not the speakers themselves, because if I play music, it's blazing loud.

Jan 6, 2010I have just upgraded to the 400.* firmware without major issues. I was pleasently surprised to see the new Chat application. Although not the best it works on my unlimited browsing service where no other IM app will so I am thrilled!
The one issue is that there is no sound or vibration alert for new messages (using Google Talk). I have checked and unchecked the more->options play sound/vibration boxes without effect. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Apr 3, 2010have a friend who just got a replacement 8330 because she wasnt getting a alert sound when a new message was coming in. we did a total replacement of all apps and settings of the old to the new phone and all was good. well today the same thing happened to the new phone. i suggested it was a bad app but she said she hasent down loaded anything (oh this started a month ago) well i know she has down loaded apps but bla bla bla. when she does a batt pull all alert sounds work but after a while this starts up again, any suggestions or has this happened to anybody?

Feb 22, 2010I downloaded ringtones from crackberry a couple hours ago and now my ringers won't work and when I try to play ringtones in the media application it won't let me play them. I tried going through the profiles to make sure they weren't muted or off and nothing is working. I had the exact same problem less than 24 hours ago and the cell phone place just gave me a new phone because they couldn't figure it out either. If I could get some kind of direction as to what I need to do I would appreciate it greatly.

I Assigned different alert tones to the 2 email addresses, sms messages, bbm messages, and facebook alerts. I have found that when I get a message, and the assigned alert tone is activated, as soon as that tone turns off anoter different alert is then activated. I cannot figure out why or how to prevent this from happening.

Jun 26, 2010This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
