View 1 RepliesI have a S6 edge. I have different notification sounds for both. Starting today they are both playing different sounds. When I go into settings it shows the name of the alert I have picked, but it plays a different sound. I can't figure it out. It's been fine for the past week.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got a new S6 and I cannot work out how to turn off the alert sounds when a new app asks if I want to install it. I've got the sound muted on the phone, but I still get the alerts sound every time an app is coming up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got my GS6 about 2 weeks ago and then had my work email/outlook added to it. Now all of my texts are being auto-forwarded to my work email, which I do not want! How do I stop this from happening? I saw a similar thread about SGS2's, but I think the locations of settings must have changed a bit because those directions were not completely compatible. I want to make sure I can still view my work email on my phone; just don't want my personal texts going into my work's email/network.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOccasionally the sounds on my LG VX8600 just shut off for no apparent reason. I can still make and receive calls and hear people talking but the phone doesn't ring, makes no alert sounds of any kind and doesn't even beep when using the keypad. The only way to get the sounds back seems to be restarting the phone or going to the tools and settings menu and viewing the volume. The volume settings aren't changed and I don't need to change them to get the sounds back, just viewing any volume setting seems to be enough.

I was delighted to see I can finally upgrade my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did so at once.Unfortunately I discovered all the pre-set alarm and notification sounds from the original factory settings are gone now and most of them have been replaced by rather lame ones. Is there any way to recover or download the old OS5 Bold 9700 sounds from a official (!) source?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAlert sounds seem to be softer under Marshmallow? I feel like before I updated that the same exact sounds were very loud if I had the alert volume turned all the way up, but now not so much. I would think it's my custom sounds that I have for texting and email arriving, except the factory default alerts are also very soft now too. It's certainly not the speakers themselves, because if I play music, it's blazing loud.

I have just upgraded to the 400.* firmware without major issues. I was pleasently surprised to see the new Chat application. Although not the best it works on my unlimited browsing service where no other IM app will so I am thrilled!
The one issue is that there is no sound or vibration alert for new messages (using Google Talk). I have checked and unchecked the more->options play sound/vibration boxes without effect. Is anyone else experiencing this?
have a friend who just got a replacement 8330 because she wasnt getting a alert sound when a new message was coming in. we did a total replacement of all apps and settings of the old to the new phone and all was good. well today the same thing happened to the new phone. i suggested it was a bad app but she said she hasent down loaded anything (oh this started a month ago) well i know she has down loaded apps but bla bla bla. when she does a batt pull all alert sounds work but after a while this starts up again, any suggestions or has this happened to anybody?

View 24 Replies View RelatedI have been having this annoyance where the phone would play a sound (it is like the sound the lockscreen makes when you set it to swipe to unlock). I hear the sound about every hour or so, but I am trying my best to figure out how to remove it.
So far I haven't did anything to stop this from happening, I'm looking for some answers to hopefully get rid of this.... I keep thinking that it is a notification, but I don't see one of them.
I've got a Razr Maxx and over the past 3 days, my phone has been sounding the Highwire ringtone for some unknown reason randomly and sometime 5 or 6 times in a row. There's no message corresponding, no notifications. Just random alert sounds and i don't have Highwire set to any apps or alerts.I don't really want to remove the 10 apps or so i've installed in the past few days, i'd rather get down to the source of the problem

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have set my S5 Mini with all the sounds I want, different sounds for different things.
However when it comes to the Clock > Alarm, something I use on a regular basis (old timers is setting in), even though in "Notifications" I have set it to the sound I want, the Clock > Alarm just refuses to play ball, it always defaults back to Samsung's sound.
It is such a quiet sound, I have on occasion missed an appointment, I normally remember to set the sound I want the phone to play, but on the odd occasion I have forgotten, hence the missed appointments.
I have searched the phone for these sounds, hooked the phone up to my PC, and done a search just on the phone for those pesky Samsung sounds. Both way's it cannot find the sound I so desperately want to be rid of.
All of my other Ringtones and Notifications work as I have set them, bar Clock > Alarm.
How I can find them, and delete them?
AFter recent upgrade to ios 8.1.1, my iphone 6 no longer makes text alert sounds and ring does not sound for incoming calls (except on car bluetooth).Â

With the latest software update (V5.0.0.807), my Yahoo icon is gone. Cannot locate it.Also, after I perfomed the update, all of the preloaded and my downloaded ring tones are not recognized. States ""invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" for every one.
Now my phone won't ring, or alert for SMS or email, or direct connect.Video camera also appears not to be functioning. Getting an error message of "Error Playing. device media processor is busy." when nothing else is running.
The s5 had the setting for messages called "repeat message alert" under messages-setting-notification -repeat message alert. You could set it to Never/every 2 minutes/every 10 minutes.
I can't get text messages to make audible reminder alert, which means I have to constantly look at the screen and not listen for the beep.
Was just wondering if there is a way to disable keyboard sounds on the S6 Edge ONLY during a phone call. As, if the other party is on speaker phone and starts to type on the keyboard, all the click sounds go through to the second party and the voice goes very low.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the S5 and I am a little confused. I have vibrating on for notifications but when I get a notification the sound plays but no vibration. I have a different sound for texting and other notifications. When I get a text I get the vibration but not with any other notification. Vibration intensity is set all the way.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Samsung S5 and a phone wallet cover with it.

This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
Every night at 10:30, an alert sounds for something on my phone. I don't know what it's for and I can't find any alarm or alerts set....It's quite annoying and I need it to stop!
