Every night at 10:30, an alert sounds for something on my phone. I don't know what it's for and I can't find any alarm or alerts set....It's quite annoying and I need it to stop!

Now I've got one ... it's close to the top, to the right on where of where the symbols show you have messages and/or voicemails. This one looks like a smiley face with a star over the left eye. There's a number 1 next to it. Help please.
Also, where is the master chart from BlackBerry, or the carrier, the deciphers these. It seems to be a common problem that's not covered very well in the user's manual.Isn't there a link somewhere to the master chart?My phone is an 83** with Sprint.
Have a 8310 & can't work out how to change tones for SMS and calendar alerts? SMSs happen with no tone, so if I don't look at the phone I don't know if I have them & calendar alerts sometimes have a wierd tone, sometimes just vibrate, for some reason...

When I recieve an email it only shows up on the "messages" folder.My previous BB would show the new mail indicator in both "Messages" folder and the specific email folder it belonged in. If I go to the specific folder, the email is inside, it just will not alert me to this folder.Hope this makes sense.Currently I have 4 specific email folders, a text folder, and a messages folder.
How can I fix this? I have an 8310 that was just replaced by another 8310 thru insurance coverage.
Trying to create filters for audible email alert messages; but when I do, all urgent emails are notifying me.

Cannot locate it.Also, after I perfomed the update, all of the preloaded and my downloaded ring tones are not recognized. States ""invalid ring tone selected, please make another selection" for every one.
Now my phone won't ring, or alert for SMS or email, or direct connect.Video camera also appears not to be functioning. Getting an error message of "Error Playing. device media processor is busy." when nothing else is running.
I am getting my sound alerts for incoming email from my Gmail account. Yet, when I go to read it, it's not there. I've checked other folders. I've done a hard reboot.

My phone will auto answer private numbers without ringing at the exact moment the call come in. Went through the settings and there is nothing wrong. Auto answer is deactivated in call options.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAbout 4 weeks ago I purchased three .99cent alert tones (R2D2: Happy, Chewbacca: Roar, and Lightsaber: Power Up). However once I synced my 4s with my macbook the tones vanished from the phone, and no matter what I do (resets, de-selecting sync tones then reselecting it, manually dragging it over to the phone) these 3 tones will not get onto the phone. All of my $1.29 tones still work however.I re-purchased them (hey Apple - how about not making people pay multiple times for tones), and again, the tones worked until my Iphone synced with my macbook, then the same vanishing act occured.

I've recently purchased the C3-01 Touch and have set music files as ringtone and text alerts but when I receive a text the music file goes on... and on.... and on.... and on... Its a 4 minute track (WMA file if it makes any difference) and i though that if I didn't pick my phone up after 30 seconds it would just stop but it doesn't, it keeps playing and vibrating causing the battery to drain pretty quick. Is there a way to set the Message / Text alert tone to stop after 30 seconds or so?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm a BB newbie but recently received one for work. My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) to my new Curve 8330. I took it to my local Sprint store and they said the contacts can't be transferred because the BB is registered on a BES. The Bluetooth connection won't work either, I assume for the same reason.Am I out of luck or is there some other way I can get the contacts into my BB? I have the contacts stored as individual business card files (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter trying 3 days to get my BB 8310 Curve connected to my network provider (I do have a data plan and internet plan) Iīm a little bit upset.
The problem: I have all necessary data-plans and also registered my BB on the internet at the Web-Page (BIS?).Ok, my handheld is also recognised and the system doesnīt complain.But: on my handheld I can see only the word "edge" (in small letters - this shows that no data-plan is active as we know, but thatīs not true) and not "EDGE" as it should be.An even better suspicicous issue: I called with the hotline from my provider and he also could see within his database that my handheld is registered and all plans were active.
So I tried following:
I inserted my SIM to another BB and it worked! (not so with my BB)
I also inserted another SIM from my colleague (who also uses a BB) and what happened? Nothing - also no connection.
So I assume that thereīs somehow a bug in my handheld? Has anybody an idea? I would very appreciate it.

I've been trying to update my phone for about 2 hrs now and i can't seem to get it to work. I've updated my desktop to v5.0, but everytime i click the link on the website it tells me i have the current version. i checked under "about" and i have v. 4.5.0.175. HOW DO I GET V5.0? oh and i have verizon if that matters.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've noticed this a couple of times with different contacts on Blackberry Messenger: I send them a message and it gets marked D for delivered. It then shortly thereafter is marked "A" for answered, and I receive a response to my message, all which makes sense. But sometimes I've noticed that my message is marked A, as if they've answered me, but I never receive a message back. Does this mean that they answered me and I just never received the message? That they've received my message and ended the conversation?Just wanting to understand why my message would be marked A when it doesn't appear to have been answered. any ideas?
