For some reason when a message alert sounds my Blackberry 8520 pauses the media player. It used to just sound the message and carry on playing, but now it freezes the music or podcast until I unpause it. Annoying! Does anyone know how to stop this?
View 4 RepliesThis is my second blackberry curve 8530 and they both have the same problem, they won't play videos. They use to but now when I go to like you tube, or nothingtoxic.com, or even my video recordings it won't play it says an error has occurred media attempt failed. I use to restart my BB and that would help for a lil while now it doesn't work at all. How do I fix this?

I have an att unlcoked on tmobile and there is a message indicator and i cecked my messages and i dont have a new message how can i make it go away?

Here is what I would like to do and did in the past with Media player and my HTC Touch Pro 2 - I created an auto playlist that selects songs that have NOT been listened to, a playcount less than one. (it doesn't show up in the desktop manager for media sync) I would like to be able to listen to stuff (causing a play count of one on the phone), and then when I re-connect to the computer have media player remove what has a play count of more than zero. This had some success with my HTC Touch Pro 2. It appears to NOT work on my 8530, it looks like NOTHING gets removed from the phone and there is no "auto" about it. The memory card is full, I listened to songs, re-connected to the computer and it appears that media player sees that the card is full and does nothing.I have had my 8530 1 DAY and have gotten many answers here from previous threads.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI specifically use my media player, and slacker radio through my chatterbox xbi2 bluetooth on my helmet while riding. About a month ago, I had my blackberry plugged into my truck via headphone jack, and the song volume kept reseting itself about 3 bars lower than max. I changed NOTHING. Since that day, I've had the same issue when streaming my music through my chatterbox via bluetooth with both media player, and slacker. Normal phone speaker seems to work.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make some ringtones to use alerts. These mp3's are very short, like 1-2 seconds long. So far, I am unable to even play a 1-2 second mp3 in the media player. And when I save it as a ringtone, it doesn't play either. I am able to play a longer mp3 like a song just fine, it's just the short ones that are causing problems. Is there some special way I need to save these file so that they can be played on the BB?

Now all I get is the little voicemail icon at the top of my screen but no sound or vibration or anything. I've been looking for an answer to my issue on the forums but it seems like I'm the only person that likes the SMS alert, everybody else wants to turn it off.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI havent had my blackberry curve too long but as of yesterday it wont alert me to text messages anymore. i had set it to chime and vibrate before, which it did. but now the only indicatior i have is the little red light. iv checked all the obvious thing in settings but nothing works now please someone tell me how to fix this, its pretty pointless if you dont know when you have a message!

I use my BB to watch movies and listen songs. I guess on an avg of 3hrs a day. Also I use it to browse a little, say 2 hrs a day.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my media card has become un-detected by my curve. It has worked fine for the past month or so that i've had it and now it's just disappeared. In Memory settings everything is switched to 'On' but the handset doesn't want to recognise the card for some reason. I took it out and put it back in and got nothing, did a soft recent by pulling the battery and still nothing.

I thought the button may have broken somehow, however, after locking my phone I hit the button and it unlocked it just fine. So apparently its not broken, it just up and quit taking me to my media.Is there a way to set the mute button as a shortcut again so I don't have to go through the menu button to get to my music, pics etc?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI synced songs from itune and ripped the ones that I could not sync. I got rid of itunes, and then migrated from my 8330 to my new 8530. The music came over to the new 8530 just fine. I cannot get the media files moved to my computer (not all of them anyway), and I cannot see the files on the BB or on my computer when it is connected in mass storage mode.

View 5 Replies View RelatedStarting today my music player has been randomly stopping during songs. I checked my memory card in another phone to make sure it wasn't the problem, and it wasn't. It also happens on the stock Blackberry Music. It will play for a minute tops, and then stop playing. The music player doesn't close, it's just like if I had pressed pause. Normally pressing the play/pause button at the top of the phone a few times will do the trick, but this is quite annoying. If I wait long enough the music will resume again. I also checked my device memory and it's not low at all, and this will happen as soon as the phone is on with only the mandatory programs running. Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas what could be causing it? I've done a few battery pulls but I'm still having the same problem.

It did until i set up desktop manager and then i dont know what i did but they dont show. I know they are there because i did a hard reset and pulled the battery, also removed the media card, when it scanned i saw it show all the ringtones then watched em all come off. how can i fix this to be able to view them?
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy phone whistles softly and I don't know why. I think it might have something to do with it locking and unlocking? It didn't use to do this and only started when I set up my phone to receive my work emails. It's annoying because it makes a whistling sound even if the phone is on vibrate. I don't know how to change this setting and I'm not sure what even triggers it to make the whistling sound. I can't show my IT guy because I don't know what makes it whistle and he never seems to be around when it does whistle (he thinks I'm crazy now).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the Curve 8530 on Verizon... I receive a text message from a person, go to the sms icon on my home screen and click on it. My bb shows the new message with the persons's name and a preview of the text. I click on it to view it but it doesnt open the conversation. Then I'll try an older conversation and it works fine. But what is strange is that it will only continue to happen to that one contact. So ill receive a new text from someone else and i can read it with no problems.
