I use a Bberry Curve 8520, v 5.0.0.592, BIS active...My media player, actually all audio function works one day, then not the following, then works, then not! Everytime is stops working I unplug battery, pull out memory card and switch on.
I looked around, and have not found an answer to my problem. I want to stream online radio from a website. It says that it is compatible with any mobile device with a windows media player capable player. Media sync does not appear to be the solution.
Here is the website in question: Chiefs Radio Network Listen Live
I have been using my BB 8520 since an yr. Now I have problem with my media player. At tyms the sound don't sync with the video. Also gets stuck at times. I use my BB to watch movies and listen songs. I guess on an avg of 3hrs a day. Also I use it to browse a little, say 2 hrs a day.
Here is what I would like to do and did in the past with Media player and my HTC Touch Pro 2 - I created an auto playlist that selects songs that have NOT been listened to, a playcount less than one. (it doesn't show up in the desktop manager for media sync) I would like to be able to listen to stuff (causing a play count of one on the phone), and then when I re-connect to the computer have media player remove what has a play count of more than zero. This had some success with my HTC Touch Pro 2. It appears to NOT work on my 8530, it looks like NOTHING gets removed from the phone and there is no "auto" about it. The memory card is full, I listened to songs, re-connected to the computer and it appears that media player sees that the card is full and does nothing.I have had my 8530 1 DAY and have gotten many answers here from previous threads.
I specifically use my media player, and slacker radio through my chatterbox xbi2 bluetooth on my helmet while riding. About a month ago, I had my blackberry plugged into my truck via headphone jack, and the song volume kept reseting itself about 3 bars lower than max. I changed NOTHING. Since that day, I've had the same issue when streaming my music through my chatterbox via bluetooth with both media player, and slacker. Normal phone speaker seems to work.
For some reason when a message alert sounds my Blackberry 8520 pauses the media player. It used to just sound the message and carry on playing, but now it freezes the music or podcast until I unpause it. Annoying! Does anyone know how to stop this?
Yesterday I was walkin the beach listening to my fav trax, today on sound, no ring tones, message alert tones, when I try use player, gives me error message and something about.wait.let me check.ok says: ERROR PLAYING and in popup says DEVICE MEDIA PROCESSOR IS BUSY.
This is my second blackberry curve 8530 and they both have the same problem, they won't play videos. They use to but now when I go to like you tube, or nothingtoxic.com, or even my video recordings it won't play it says an error has occurred media attempt failed. I use to restart my BB and that would help for a lil while now it doesn't work at all. How do I fix this?
Recently, the volume buttons, pause/play, fast forward and rewind media keys only work when I am on the Now Playing screen whereas they were working on every other screen in the past; even when my phone was locked. I don't know why it's suddenly not working?
my bb 8520 media card is not working,I had certain videos and songs, which got wiped off after scanning it.Now I wish to transfer the pictures and files to my PC , which is not possible.
Since today, it seems my media player is not working. its opening, i can see which all media are there, but the songs are not playing, the videos are too, like stuck. i switched off, removed battery n put it back, no change. i did master reset, no change still. the problem disappears when a call comes(or missed call), it rings. then immediately if i try, media works. once i exit, and retry, its stuck again. same when i change ring tone volume. after i play ring tone, music works, after exit, problem persists.
I am having some problems with my phone which I think might be related to gstreamer. When I open the camera cover and the camera tries to launch I get the error message "Operation failed". Media player also does not work, I can see the media files but when I try playing them nothing happens.
I used gstreamer to capture images for an application that I created and it has always worked fine until recently, when I started noticing the problems with the camera and media player.Between the time everything was working and now, this is what I have done:
-installed OpenGL ES 2
-installed Qt
-copied a bunch of screenshots from the phone to my Mac (i think I just did it through bluetooth but I might have used the usb cable)
Here is what I have done to try to fix the problem:
-connect the phone via usb to a windows computer, rightclick the n900 icon and error check (as recommended on this forum)
-update the firmware using app manager
-reboot
-type dmesg in the terminal after opening the lens cover - that did not output any errors
Could this be related to anything other than the gstreamer? If it is the gstreamer, should I try reinstalling it?
My names is Jon and I'm new here I just purchased a Blackberry Curve 8330 (Boost) and I don't know how to turn the volume down or up while playing, when I press one of the keys it skips to the next song or previous but volume I just can't find
the media player does not work on the bb browser. everytime i click on "watch video" or "stream video" on Internet or tinytube, nothing happens. i click, and the media does not show up at all.i have a bb curve 8330 os 4.5.0.186, it was working fine for 5 months, until acouple days ago.is there a solution to this prob? i have a data plan and i love watching Internet videos, and it suks now.
I recently got a new blackberry curve and today I started to have some trouble with it. I made a voice note in media to try it out and then when I deleted it it got stuck like that. Its been "deleting" the voice note for hours now and I can't go or use anything in the media section now. The rest of the phone works fine though, but its really annoying that I can't listen to music or look at my pics anymore.
I have a BB Curve 9330 (Verizon). While playing MP3's on my phone, media player stops suddenly for no reason. It's not due to an incoming call or message or notification of any kind. It just stops. It happens at random times. It can be after just a few minutes or after a half hour of playing. When I check my BB after this happens, Media Player is completely shut down. I have to manually restart my MP3's all over again. This is very annoying. Does anyone know of a fix for this
I have a Curve 3G (9330), software at version 6 bundle 2426, Media player is at version 6, application free storage 268.1 MB, Media card storage free space 3.5 GB out of 18. Every time an event occurs on the device, plug-in to recharge, clear an alert, etc, the media player starts playing MP3's I have on the device. What setting am I missing to turn the autostart Off?
i'm try to play direct from a website where are 3 players on winamp realplayer and windows media player but none of those are suported what do i need so i can play directly from the website the players are on [URL]
My music player has disappeared from my Media Player folder. I did nothing to delete it. It was working fine I closed it and when I went back to media player it was gone. find it or download a new one. I have a Torch with the latest software upgrades.
Since updating my OS the audio files that i often transfer to my curve will crash the phone except for the very bottom file on the "all songs" menu inside the BB music player. It is the strangest thing, and very problematic. I have loaded random music files on and switched priority and it is always the last file on the list that works and everything else above will cause the crash. To help clarify some info. The music files are from an itunes playlist and they are all spoken word that range from 5-7hrs each and i have from 2-4 of them at a time. BB desktop manager is the method of syncing and the method of updating the OS as well.
i've never had this problem until recently. i'll go to Internet's mobile site, perform search, etc. and when i go to click on the video, nothing happens. the browser doesn't open the media player at all. i've tried with my native browser and evn with opera mini, which ultimately requires the native browser anyway. i don't remember changing any particular settings on my browser so i couldn't imagine why i would have this issue. any help would be appreciated. just to reiterate, i don't even so much as an error message. nothing happens at all when i try to play the video. it just stays on the same page.
If I stream videos from the internet or I want to play a file from the memory with extension .ASF the player only plays the Audio but not the Video. Shouls I download an extra player? Or there a plugin for my blackberry. My software version is 5.0.
How do I know if I have a media card? I didn't buy one extra, but there is a little card in the back of my phone. Would one have come with it? I am trying to put music on my phone and am having a hard time and now I'm not sure I even have a media card. This is my first Blackberry and I have only had it about a month.
I have tried and tried, but can't get Media Sync to find my BB Curve.Desktop Manager can find my BB - and it says it's working & connected, but when I launch Media Sync, after 3 mins of searching, it says "Please connect a BB device".
I have tried without launching DTM - i.e. launching Media Sync on its own.I have tried all variations of restarts, of both BB and laptop AND removing the battery at all sorts of stages in the process. No joy.
I don't see a drive on Windows Explorer with my BB however.I'm running Windows Vista, SP1.
1. Device model number: 8520 2. carrier or mobile provider: Virgin Mobile 3. OS release v 5.0.0.592
Extra history: 1) I downloaded Desktop Manager from the CD and then updated it automatically.
2) I then followed some detailed instructions from this forum elsewhere and totally removed every trace of it (including regedit entries).
3) I downloaded a clean copy of the latest DTM from BB website
4) I then updated the Curve OS software - now on version 5.01 (and yes, like everyone I prefered the old style of key locking!)
5) I also replaced the USB cable since that seemed to provoke a constant cycle of reboots on my BB - this was an earlier problem that a different cable fixed,
i received this phone from my dad who got a newer version. everything was working fine when he had it, but i took it i went through "security options" and pressed a "security erase" everything he had was reset in order for me to be able to configure my email accounts, etc.but now i can't play any music or videos, not from Internet or from the media player on the phone, i mean it doesn't even play the song that comes for default! an error saying "unable to play content" keeps coming up, and i have already taken out the battery and put it back on three times.
