How to get rid of the new message indicator from the home screen? when I get a new message and read it, the little red asterix does not go away until you move the icons in the applications screen and then it fails to show once you've done that.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520, and suddenly tonight, I have a read message icon on the home screen that won't go away. I have no emails or messages at all on my phone anymore, and I cleared the messages from the advanced tab thingy on the desktop manager. I've done a battery pull, turned it off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending a text message to my phone from my husband's, and it showed up as 2 messages on the icon, but when I deleted that new text msg, it went back down to 1 read message and is still there.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 8530. How do I change the icons on the home screen? Also, the messages icons, there are 2, one plain envelope and one envelope with a earth on it. Do the same messages from the earth one (which I assume means email) go into the plain envelope one which I think means ALL messages including BB PIN Messages? And then to other texts show up in the plain one?

I have never had one before so I am not sure how to get the new message indicator off the top of my home screen. The thing is I don't have any new messages. The message indicator on the home screen sometimes displays to the left of the time, and sometimes to the right. I thought at first it was an am/pm thing, but 10 minutes ago (8:41 ayem now) it was on the right, and now it just jumped to the left.
Can I use songs as text ringtones on the Curve 8520?

After I use the track pad to scroll upper left then upper right the bottom right and bottom left the screen is normal. Has anyone else had this issue?

It has a 3 and right next to it is a black circle with a red mark on upper right edge of circle. Almost resembles the old round cartoon bombs from years ago. Just showed up on my phone last week.

I am trying to set up a 2nd email address on my Curve 8520. I currently have 1 gmail set up. I had a 2nd awhile back, but deleted it when I didn't need it any longer. View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the Curve 8530 on Verizon... I receive a text message from a person, go to the sms icon on my home screen and click on it. My bb shows the new message with the persons's name and a preview of the text. I click on it to view it but it doesnt open the conversation. Then I'll try an older conversation and it works fine. But what is strange is that it will only continue to happen to that one contact. So ill receive a new text from someone else and i can read it with no problems.

when viewing my message folder, it shows phone calls sent and received. I want to only see my emails when viewing the folder. Phones made and received are showing in the phone folder and that is want i want. Can anyone help me?

View 14 Replies View RelatedThe other day I updated my Quick Pull app. I forgot to reset the times in which i wanted it to reboot. Last night I remembered and set the time. I normally set it for 3, but since it was 3 it wouldn't be able to reboot until this evening. After I was done with my phone, I rebooted it manually by going to the app and clicking reboot. My battery was also low in the red so I stuck the charger in it. When I woke up this morning my phone was dead, if had fell on the floor and the charger came out. I put the charger back in a waited a little while for it to charge. When it came on, it only went to the Cricket screen, but would not go to the home screen. I took the battery out multiple times, I waited patiently, yet my phone is still stuck on the cricket screen.. Is there anyway to reset it so that it can work again?
