I'm really annoyed right now.No matter what theme I use on my Sprint 8530 5.0 OS the active call/incoming call screen is the ugly default screen.Can somebody please tell me how to fix it or is plazmic working on the issue?It really sucks to have cool themes and this one screen is all jacked up.

View 4 Replies View RelatedDid a OS ugrade to 5.0.0.681 yesterday as advised by desktop manager when I connected, problem is now no matter how I configure my profiles the vibration is always there when a call,txt,email comes in-done a battery pull etc.
Some new features are good-others bad!-like when you press the top 'play' button all it does is unlock the fone-instead of playing what music was playing before!.
Any clues on the vibration-it's turned off in all profiles but still ruddy gyrates!.
How do you clear all your call logs without deleting them one by one? I'm not talking about the call history, I'm talking about the call logs.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8530 last month, and everything has been going smoothly up until the past week or so.Every time I hit the "End Call" button it results in the Blackberry typing out the letters "NM" repeatedly. If I keep hitting it, it just types out "Nmnmnmnmnmnmnm" ... I have tried a battery pull, multiple times. I've tried a software update. I don't know what else I can do to fix it.
It's driving me insane, I'm in love with my new BB (first time user!), but this is really killing the enjoyment. I've read about this problem with other phones and I'm worried it might move on to other letters and keys, forcing me to not be able to use the phone at all.If anybody can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. I've combed these forums for hours looking for a solution, but to no avail. Someone want to give a BB newbie a break?
I was wondering if there's any option that allow you to send a message to someone who actually is calling you, like when you're in a meeting and you get a phone call but you can't answer but instead send a default message right away like "call me back later". Is this possible?

when someone calls me or i call someone, i cant really hear whats going on. my speaker "pops" and thats all i hear. it pops like every two seconds. and now my microphone doesnt work. whats going on with my phone and what do i do to fix it? i've battery pulled many times

If i try and make a call i get ''Supplementary service error: General error''. I couldnt find much about this on Google except a hard battery pull while the phone was on, which i tried but still no luck. Anyone got any idea's for me to resolve this issue ? I'm also getting 'Phone not allowed MM#5' when i try an emergency call.

After I use the track pad to scroll upper left then upper right the bottom right and bottom left the screen is normal. Has anyone else had this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am with orange and I have 500MB data per month. When I try and use the mobile network internet it says 'This is a WiFi service. Please ensure your device has an active wifi connection and try again'. Why is this? Also, when i try to update to 5.0 it says I need a data package but it worked on my old phone. And because of this I can't download the app world. The signal goes to SOS a lot as well but I think my house blocks the signal. Currently it says 'gprs' with 2 bars beside it.

On my old Rant I received the emails instantly. Is there a 3rd party email that is available. View 7 Replies View RelatedHave had my 8530 for two months now and today I noticed that anytime I push a button on my phone for any reason I get a steady red LCD light. The LCD goes dark when the backlight goes out. The battery is charged and I can make phonecalls. I don't have any outstanding messages and have used the reconcile now option just in case. I scoured the net looking for a solution and the only thing I can find is to do a battery pull or disable the LCD. I definitely don't want to disable it, and I ran across one person who posted that when she did a battery pull that her BB didn't turn back on afterward--so I'm REALLY hesitant to try that!
I haven't upgraded anything on the phone. I was listening to Pandora when this seemed to happen, but I use Pandora every day.Any suggestions/thoughts? I'll do the battery pull if I have to, but I'm hoping to find other solutions.
I recently went from a 8330 to a 8530 and everything was working great all weekend. However, last night I noticed when I receive an SMS message only the number shows with no names attached. This happened right after I connected to my Blackberry Desktop Manager.

All of the people in his address book have "classic ringer" as their custom ring tone along with the volume set about midway like its some kind of default setting. I have tried changing the profiles/ringtones and creating new ones (with different tones) this does not change the ringer for those 80+ people. In the Set Contact Alert menu there are only 3 people with a custom tone showing.The Classic Ring is not loud enough for him to hear and no matter how I try to change the default ringer it does not change the ring for the contact list.I've done a battery pull, no change.Updated it to newest OS.Contact list was imported from a Storm 2(he likes having actual buttons to push).
Am I missing something or 1) shouldn't all those people show up in the Set Contact Alert Menu, if there is a custom tone set up or 2) shouldn't their default change if I change the default for the phone.I haven't checked all of them, but did check at least 10 and regardless of what I do they're still the same. Ringer shows Classic all other options say active profile.Is there any way I can change their default ringer without having to give each one a custom ring--too time consuming?
I had a 8330 (for 2 months) that would reboot itself constantly. Does not do it anymore 'cause I returned it for a 8530. The 8530 that I've had since Jan 01 is better, it only does it now and then when it is tethered to my pc.. Rendering it just about useless for my business activities. US Cellular is at a loss. Should I accept this defect as part of the BB experience?

But when i check my email for yahoo on my laptop, it still shows up on my BB and doesnt delete unless I personally delete it. Is there an option that when i check my email from my laptop that it will delete on my BB??

The only apps that I have opened that possibly check the internet are facebook & my weather network app. I have the weather app set to check every hour. So how could it drop so fast? I also have wifi turned on but does that kill it that quickly?

I haven't noticed a pattern as to when it does this, and it doesn't seem to be a regular interval. I'll have it sitting next to me on the table, and suddenly it lights up, shuts down, and starts back up, and carries on as if nothing happened.

My screen has the history of every text message sent between me and the reciepient as if we are in a chat screen. On the curve 8330 all you had to do was go to options-sms-number of previous items and change the setting. Under the help option and in the user manual for the 8530 it says to follow those exact directions but for some reason that option is not available for me when I go to options-sms. I contacted my service provider Verizon and they stated the option isnt available on this model. So why would it be under the help menu on the phone. Can anyone help me I hate to read days and days of text messages between me and another person if I make a mistake and scroll up. All I want to do is see the previous text message in the new text message screen.

BBM, some web, few apps running).I unplug my phone around 7am in the morning and by roughly 3:30-4pm the battery has almost died. Now during that time all I'm doing is sending BBM messages (no pictures), minimal SMS messages and the only app I have running is 'Weather Bug'. Is this normal for the curve battery to die so quickly? I've read about other users saying that they can easily get a days worth of use out of their battery and they still have sufficient enough charge.
