Nov 22, 2011I deleted an app off of my Curve and had to re-boot. When re-booting the status bar gets two thirds of the way across and sticks, I have tried to Safe Start it but to no avail

BB Curve :: 8900 Address Book Failure
Sep 7, 2011Uncaught Exception: application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (232) is not responding I am unable to add contacts to my address book nor can I edit the existing one. When I try, the phone locks up and I have to do a reboot. After the restart the phone show the error message above.

Mar 22, 2011My BB curve 8900 cannot boot up. There is a white screen and clock runs forever. I downloaded an application from Worldmate yesterday, and the handset worked fine. All of sudden, it showed "Cleaning Memory" and ever since it has been showing a white screen with the clock. I even tried removing the battery, the memory card, etc to re-boot, but its not working. I use the Blackberry Desktop Manager ver 5.0.1.

Jan 19, 2010My BB curve 8900 cannot boot up. I pull the battery off and put it in again. It seem that the white screen and clock run forever. I just add some language to our phone via BB desktop manager. It worked well. But, after I turn off BB and pull battery out, then leave it for a while then put battery back, it become booting forever.

May 22, 2010I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

Jun 29, 2010I recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

I recently received a message telling me to validate my e mail address but, despite my and vodafones best efforts, we have been unable to get the phone to validate my e mail password (I know I am typing the right password, because I can access my e mail on my home computer with the password). I sometimes get the message that I have successfully validated it, but after the 20 minutes or so has passed, I get the same message as before, asking me to validate my e mail.

May 21, 2012I recently got myself a 9360 and I love the phone. I also upgraded the unit to 7.1.0.336 and it works great except one thing. I cannot seem to send or receive emails using my corporate account. The account uses BIS and I never really had problems with it when I was using my older 9300. When I migrated to the new phone using phone switch, the corporate email doesn't work anymore. Whenever I would send an email, a red X appears and it says General Failure. My Gmails work fine. I tried a number of batter pulls after I deleted and recreated the account on my phone and still nothing. I even tried resending the service books and still nothing. I even have full access to my BIS through my subscriber and recreated my email there and still nothing.

They both worked fine up until yesterday, but then the hotmail one started to fail.Whenever I try to send an email with this account I get a red x and it says general failure. I can still recive messages, just not reply or send new messages to anyone with this account.My gmail account is still working completely normally. Since then it wont work, or if it does it only stays working for 3 minutes at the most.
