View 7 RepliesDesktop manager informed me that there was an update available, so I opted to go ahead with it.Version 5.0.0.411 installed successfully and all data was restored.
Phone does everything except receive incoming texts - voice, email are working fine. Vodafone suggested downgrading to the version 4, so I got 4.4.6.1.310 by following links from Vodafone's web site.Still no incoming texts, more time talking with Vodafone conclude it's a problem with the handset.Their third level support people say it's a return to base "for zapping".
Current OS 5.0.0.681...I try to reboot 4-5 times and get the same result after word "verifying security software" my curve was shutdown.I try to reinstall OS and downgrade OS to old version but can not help. But it's can reboot in "save mode" , if I leave BB for 5-10 mins in save mode the screen will shut down but BB still working, it can receive a call in save mode. This problem should be focus in "software" or "hardware", anyone can tell me?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy BB curve 8900 cannot boot up. There is a white screen and clock runs forever. I downloaded an application from Worldmate yesterday, and the handset worked fine. All of sudden, it showed "Cleaning Memory" and ever since it has been showing a white screen with the clock. I even tried removing the battery, the memory card, etc to re-boot, but its not working. I use the Blackberry Desktop Manager ver 5.0.1.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy BB curve 8900 cannot boot up. I pull the battery off and put it in again. It seem that the white screen and clock run forever. I just add some language to our phone via BB desktop manager. It worked well. But, after I turn off BB and pull battery out, then leave it for a while then put battery back, it become booting forever.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm getting this error immediately after I enter my password just once after a device reboot.I know this is an error that is thrown by an application but my problem is I cannot determine which one. I used the device switch wizard to switch from a Bold 9700 with OS5 and a fair number of apps installed. I used app world to delete everything that was not a Research in Motion created app, rebooted, then cleanly reinstalled a subset of the 3rd party apps. The error persisted even when only RIM created software was installed. How do I determine which application is throwing this error? I tried looking at the system log, the error is there but with no detail as to which module or app is causing it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've got a brand new Curve 9300 less than a week ago. I've updated it's OS to version 6, and it worked perfectly. When I attempted to configure my email, it automatically asked to update with my carrier's email setup software. I just chose ok. I got three warning messages, which I don't exactly remember but it was about something may not function correctly (regarding to version difference). I just continued installation, and it asked for a reboot. When I rebooted the mobile, it goot stuck at the boot screen. Then nothing! The thin status bar bellow BlackBerry's logo fills up until it's full, then nothing happens. When I wait for longer time (a few minutes), I get a message on a white screen with a tiny font with "App Error 606", with one option of 'RESET'. I pulled out the battery and restored it a few times, nothing different. Notes:The LED does not do anything, except for a single red blink when it rebootsThe keboard seems to be responsive. I get the Alt and Shift indicators in the top right corner when I press themThe power button doens't seem to cause
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I got my first BB 6 months ago! I loved it I babied it! I never had a phone do so much keep me so entertained. Keep me so up to date with everything> I left the G1 for the BB and it was still much better I could contact friends I could not any other way with the BBIM. Then one day she died in her track ball! So I had to replace her. That was 2 months into the love affair I was having with the BB.
So I got the replace meant and it was harder than anything to tell her by. I could tell my wife by with ease but not her. I loved her! She was my best friend my companion I never left her behind! So many bars so many experiences SO MUCH TROUBLE ELIMINATED. But she had to go, Like a horse with a broke leg she was worthless!
So on to my second one not so much babying as I still thought of her predecessor. She could never be HER! I however gave here a chance! and we grew a bond unlike no other.
we were inseparable every where together only a handful of hungover days did I forget to bring her with me to work. I m,ade up for that many a time!
She finally committed suicide of the track ball as well. Following her predecessor. So I had to replace her again but this time I had new knowledge of how to use her while I waited. I also had a callous numbness to her loss from my first marriage to a BB! So I was not hurt or lonely!
So as I awaited my replacement BB Curve 8900. I did not care as soon as it arrived she was done she was gone to the wayside! I hope you can be refurbished but I can never trust you ever!
My new mistress arrived I opened her fondled her and loaded her with all I had! Only to find out I had been burned. She did not work for data. or incoming calls. She was a teasing *****! So back to my previous mistress! With no track ball while I fight for a free upgrade due to have gone through 3 BB 8900 in 6 months WTF
my backlight timeout is set for 30 seconds. when i am watching a song or anything on media player, backlight doesn’t go off after 30 seconds, which is obviously normal.
however when i am watching a video on Internet using bolt browser, the screen goes black after 30 seconds. it should not!
When i take out the battery it still dosen't work.

View 5 Replies View Relatedemail syncs fine, but calendar, contacts notes etc (in fact everything else) doesnt sync. as the exchange box is hosted, there is no way of putting BES on it. every other smart phone i have ever hooked up to this hosted exchange box works fine seems to be just the blackberry.
he has an exchange enabled outlook 2007 client on his PC looking at the same account. how can i get things to sync over the air (i dont want him to have to plug it in to the pc as this defeats the entire object of having an exchange solution).
i recently bought an iphone 4 16gb from a friend, and installed the IOS 5.0.1 update which changed the baseband to 4.11.08. I now wish to update to 5.1 but my iphone finds an error half way through the download, and if i download the firmware manually and hold shift then hit restore, it doesn't find the firmware file i have downloaded. If i try and check for updates / restore on itunes, it fails to download half way through too. Could this be anything to do with the phone?
Info:
iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1, bb 4.11.08
I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top. Is the sound quality and volume of the 8900 equal to or greater than the 8300 with its batter door off?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 5, all up-to-date and stuff. Now recently when I was driving somewhere it turned off. Since then i haven't been able to turn it on again.
Without charger it doesnt even go on, With the charger it gets to the google logo and then reboots over and over again.
Fastboot just the same thing. Shows the fastboot GUI and reboots. Only with charger in.
Is this a hardware or software problem? I could try something on linux but if it's a hardware problem i'll just stop to try to find a solution.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently, I was trying to replace old battery in my Nexus and something went wrong. The battery wasn't replaced but the phone didn't boot up. When unplugged, the phone didn't react at all (and I know that battery % was enough). When I plugged it in, the battery indicator showed up, disappeared after a second and it was happening in a constant loop (this appearing and disappearing). I tried to boot up the phone but only Google showed up and phone turned off and the battery indicator was again reappearing.
I managed to access fastboot but couldn't do anything more (when trying to enter recovery - same thing as with booting up). Flashed stock 6.0.1 and nothing changed. The phone was sent to LG but they said the warranty won't cover that and offered to replace motherboard for price around $230 which for me is a bit too high as for this quite old phone. They've sent me also this photo (URL...). Now I'm waiting for them to return the phone and maybe I'll try with another LG service.
Maybe symptoms are suggesting something and it can be easily fixed. Right now I can't do anything because the phone isn't back yet but when it's back before giving it to another service?
I flashed the XtreStoLite Bootloader and Modem for 5.1.1. After that I flashed the new TWRP with Odin, it passed so there shouldn't be any errors.
I tried to boot into the recovery after I turned off the phone with volume + / power / home button. At first there was only a picture of an android but now it doesn't do anything when I try to press the buttons.
The Bootloader shows that the knox is already tripped so it's w/e. Tried to check for root in Android terminal but apparently it doesn't recognise the command.
How to proceed, so I can finally boot into twrp?
Today i started my Nexus5 and its loading one hour in the bootscreen and nothing happens. I started the Fastboot Mode but i dont know what i have to do. I dont want to lose my files but after my small research i red that i cant backup my stuff without a LOCK STATE -"unlocked". I'm right with that information? I never done anything like that before. Could i backup my data or is the only choice that i bring it to factory mode?
