I have a problem with my N95. During update with a usbcable nad nokia pc suite the cable is disconnected. Now my phone will not boot anymore. It does says "nokia"but the backlight is not on.
Is there a method that can hard reset or reformat the device?
My torch 9860 doesn't boot completely anymore and for that reason, I haven't been able to use it for a long time now. The booting bar loads and gets to somewhere near the end and hooks there after which it never moves again! I've left it booting for over a day and it still didn't boot! I've reloaded the OS severally, even done a downgrade to 7.0 but still, no success.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been using this for a couple of months and loved it. last night i was trying to pair it with my PC and finally got it working using BlueSoleil. However it spontaneously turned off and I could never turn it on again (I was not handling it in a harsh way at all, just turning it off and on and putting into discoverable mode several times).I thought maybe it's the battery so I chraged it and I had hope since the red LED came on indicating charge, and I waited til it went green. Alas, no difference. My headset is DEAD. Please help revive it, is there a way I can hard reset it or something?

I can't even type a new message anymore, or can't receive one.My nokia n8 went to nokia than and came back friday with factory settings. Than the sms worked again fine.Today i reinstalled the back up i made with nokia suite before the nokia 8 was sent to nokia and after that sms stopped working again. What can i do to solve this ? Back to factory settings again ? Can i do it myself ?

This happends 3 times, and then the phone switches off again. Have tried resetting by holding down the power button until 3 vibrations. I DO NOT WANT TO LOGIN TO OVI as I feel that I do not have any control over the data usage of it. I am frequent traveler and I guess that OVI is not going to pay for the internet while I am roaming.I NEED to get entirely rid of this OVI login screen. View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason after upgrading to Belle I have lost the option to switch geo-tagging on in the camera settings. It is just not there where it used to be. I need this for work, that is why I got myself a camera phone with this option.
Anybody have this problem or am I just looking in the wrong place to switch it on / off? It used to be in the camera settings menu,now I have only: image quality - show captured image - default image name - capture tone - memory in use - restore camera settings.
I just noticed that I cannot tilt the screen anymore (when I hold it vertically screen doesn't adjust).
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having serious problems with my S6. The phone crashes, shuts down and reboots over and over again. Right now thee is no way I can boot the phone without freezing. Even in safe mode and recovery mode the phone freezes.
I had these problems before and returned the phone. They 'flashed' the firmware and checked all the harware (no problems). The phone worked properly for two weeks but then all of a sudden the problems were back.
I want to make backups before I return the phone again but that's simply not possible. If that's not possible I prefer erasing everything somehow, without making any backups. I still have my backups from a couple of weeks ago.
My iPhone will not boot up, and I don't know what did it. My friend said his iPod won't come on because he charged it on a friend's XBOX overnight, and so did I. I really don't know if the XBOX did it, but it's possible. The other day I turned it off to save power, and when I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't completely boot up. The Apple logo shows up for about a minute and then the loading symbol comes up and just keeps going and it won't ever get to the lock screen. I've tried to restore it. It won't show up in iTunes so I heard about putting the device in Recovery Mode to make it recognizable. It made it show up, but every time I tried to restore it gave me error codes like 21, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, and 1604. My iPhone was on 5.0.1 and at the Restore page in iTunes that only had options to Update and Restore. Update was grayed out, and there should be an update to 5.1. Then today when I tried restoring it the message at the top was stuck on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple..." iTunes isn't frozen on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple," it just won't say anything else. I've tried everything and nothing works. I've even tried holding the Power and Home buttons forever, and still, nothing works.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am planning to purchase a Nokia 6700 slide for my mother, however, the seller has stated that it takes a long time to start up, anything between 5 minutes to an hour; and often varies. I am wondering what is casuing the problem with the device before purchasing, other than the start-up time, everything on the handset works perfectly fine (according to the seller).
Would reinstalling the operating system be of any solution? From what I know, there are no other faults for the device, and the boot up error occured totally randomly. This boot- up time is the only fault on the phone; and could be a problem, as my mother may be unable to charge the device at various points, where the phone would turn off due to low battery.
Or are there any other steps which I could take to ensure that this problem doesn't occur? Also, this is an old phone, therefore it is out of warranty.
The email client on my N8 with Belle suddenly stopped working. I have configured my email with IMAP (Standard not OVI!) and it was working OK until a couple of days ago. Now I can not retrieve/send any email - I always get the message: "Unable to sign in. Try again.". I also tried and removed this particular account and added it once again (as a matter of fact I did this about 10 times!!!) but still no emails are shown. Of course this same mail is working perfectly on all of my PCs and notebooks.

Okay, so no big deal I can retype but then it freezes on the White & Blue Nokia screen (no handshake).I tried shut it down, didn't respond. I took out the battery as the last resort.I put the battery back and tried to restart again. This time it vibrated but nothing else.I tried again... and all went dead.Now my phone is like a brick to me.I can't do hard-reset if the power button cannot work!

I left my phone to charge one night before going to bed (pulled out the charger when it finished). The next morning the phone had shut down by itself and when I tried turning it on I got white lines accross the screen. That happened for a few more times (sometimes blue or green or red lines), and after I removed and put the battery back in the following has been happening since then : Starting the phoneWhite screen with Nokia logo shows upMessage "Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer". Phone hangs. If I press the shut down button, lines appear and fade out before phone shuts down.
I tried the hard reset method, but either I am doing it wrong, or it just doesn't apply here. I tried connecting it to my PC, but it is not recognised (probably because a message to select PC Suite doesn't show up). The phone is a few months outside warranty, so it is not financially wise (or viable) to send it for repairs. I am an advanced user and I'm willing to try any flashing utilities guides to restore it to working condition. Could it be the battery needing a switch? I tried removing the memory card & SIM, but the problem persists.
my battery doesn't even last a day regardeless of whether or not I have made a call, started happening this last week or two for no reason. Anything I can do? Not paying nokia loads for a problem they cause in designing it poorly (irreplaceable battery).

View 10 Replies View Relatedi am unable to make calls. When I try to make phone call it doesn't even try to make the call. I choose a name from the address book to call and nothing happens. After restaring the phone it works fine. An even more annoying problem is that when this has happened my phone doesn't receive calls either. I've heard that people have tried to call me and it has rang normally but my phone doesn't show that someone has called me.
