I bought this phone on the 16th of feb but now mass storage is gone not showing anymore not even on PC... i did everything like installing latest software, restore, delete data and restore and hard reset but still not detecing mass storage.
View 1 RepliesSince the Belle update, whenever I take a picture I am able to view it in the phone, but when I connect to a PC to transfer the picture in Mass Storage, the pictures are not there. I've looked in both the Mass Memory and Phone Memory folders. I've checked to see if the photo has a saved file name which it does. It finds them in Ovi Suite but I much prefer to use Mass Storage, it's so much easier and quicker to use.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was videoing a long event and at the end the time flashed and then the videoing stoped after about 26mins. I then restarted videoing the next song and ran out of mass storage memory after about 2 mins. I quickly deleted some old photo/vid and continued videoing.
Later that evening I checked the video and non was in the gallary.I check via the PC etc. I also tried a photo recovery app for mass storage solid state disks. All came up blank. I tried to record more video it would show immediately in the video players gallery view but not in the normal gallery and when I tried to play it would only show the last frame and have an error message "unable to play". It still allows the recording of photos.
I have now changed the storage to the SD card and it is fine on the SD. I have change to record to the mass storage area but it will still only do photos
I have a Nokia 808 Pureview and was having problem with a lot of the basic functionality stop working on my phone. So the phone was master reseted before any of my pictures or videos were backed up. Usually I would be able to take a recovery program on windows like recuva to get the files back but my problem was, was that the mass storage was encrypted. Would it still be possible access the encrypted data that was reset off the phone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have been dragging and dropping files to my OSX 10.6.8 MacBook happily for a while now, but recently my USB connection has failed to work and Kies keeps dropping out. I used to be able to simply plug the USB cable in, click on the drop-down notification and go from there.However, I now have no drop-down (and yes, I have tried a bunch of different cables), and when I go into USB utilities and go through the rigmarole there, I get stuck in an endless loop where it tells me to plug in the cable, and then tells me the cable is plugged in, and I have to "unplug to connect" - it's all very strange.
I have tried it with debugging both on and off and that does not seem to make any difference. At the same time, Kies now is very sticky, and refuses to find the folders I want. I also have Airdroid, which also is doing silly things and will load one file and no others.Has something happened to my S2 ? Is there an easy step to getting things back on track ? I know it is possible to transfer data of all sorts to the SD card with a reader, but that seems to defeat the purpose of everything - it's also a chore and not easy to do in a hurry.
This is the 3rd time I connected my Nokia 5800xm in Mass Storage Mode.. and after isconnecting (thru' Safely Remove Hardware..everytime) the Folders are in a Mess. pplications are shifted from its original folders to don't ask where..(Oh!) ..I could re-organise them back without much trouble.. but why is this happening? Is there any way to stop this ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy mass memory is showing that it is in use even when it is not connected to any device or gadget, It all happened when I formatted my Mass Memory via PC in mass storage mode !!Format was successful but when I ejected 701 from PC the Default file manager was still showing that the mass memory is in Use. I tried everything from updating my software via Nokia Suite to re-booting my device a multiple times and also removed the battery many times and also I Hard Reset my device many times but to No avail .

It's time that BB and Verizon get their S*&T together and stop tossing out excuses for the reason as to why things don't work. Take the time you would to write the excuse and come up with a patch or fix to the problems.
Recently my Nokia 5800 has had problems connecting to my computer through Mass Storage option. Will connect no problem through PC Suite but not as a USB Mass storage.Have re-downloaded the drivers and installed them again and still same problem.

it shows the drive but when i open it, it says "please insert in drive..." or when i check drive properties, it says Size availble as 0 and used also as 0.
In short, it is not detecting the memory card although it works fine with OVI
I've run into a bit of a problem, as have MANY Photon 4G owners have as well.since mounting my Electrify as a USB mass storage device (the two "MOT" drives pop up in explorer), now the internal storage (which is where everything is) comes up as an unreadable drive.It mounted fine when I got it, then stopped working, then worked for a day, now it doesn't work.I've tried uninstalling drivers, taking out the battery, SD card, etc etc.

And i could connect phone to PC in all modes. But now, when I connect my phone to PC in mass storage mode, it automatically switches to ovi suite! I can't connect it in mass storage mode . But I can access mass storage when I connect my phone in Ovi suite mode. And I can copy files to and from mass storage. But I can't connect in mass storage mode. What might be the reason. Pls say ur valuable opinions and answers...(I have already did formating many times(both mass storage and phone). But still the problem exists)
View 3 Replies View RelatedNot sure what the problem is, but I think it's a problem with my AV software or something else on my PC or an app that's on my phone, rather than a hardware problem.A few days ago I started having problems accessing the memory card via my PC when my phone was plugged in. A restart of both fixed it on all occasions, now even that doesn't work.It shows up in My Computer but when I try to open it my PC tells me to insert a disk into drive I.It has worked without fail in the past , because my AV software used to flash up a warning that Autorun has been disabled for that device.

Things I try each time, removed data cable and plug it back in; clear USB devices; power N900 off and start again. Non seem to work and at some point in the future I'll get asked again and can swap mode. Is there a way on the N900 to make it change once connected?I know PC Suite is next to useless with the N900 but it is so much simpler doing appointments etc on the pc keyboard!

0) I have two message in my Inbox, Remove and replace the battery and switch on the device. After that I format E:Mass Storage and close File manager
1) In Messaging Options I select Settings and than Other and change the Memory in user to E:Mass Storage
2) I'm asked if I'd like to "copy all messages to the new message memory". I click on "Yes"
3) I'm asked if I'd like to "Save original messages" and I click "No" as I'd like to use the new stoage exclusively
After that the Inbox is empty.
Once my 5800 is plugged into the usb port is shows has a Nokia OVI suite. You cant double click it like a normal removable drive, you have to expand it to get the following folders :
Which folder does the videos reside in and which folder does the images reside it that I want to transfer from the phone to the computer .
I have always had Sony phones in the past and they have specific folders for Video , Picture and Audio. The Nokia is confusing the hell out of me
I'm attempting to use Map Loader 3.0.28.0 to load Maps onto my N97 Mini ( software version 10.0.020, 14-10-09 ), on which I have installed the latest Maps version ( 3.03 10wk01 b05 ). I've run this Maps more than once, and the cities folder exists on my E: ( Mass Memory ) drive. There is no 'F:' drive ( i.e. no memory card ). When I connect my phone to the PC, I start it in PC Suite mode. Using PC Suite 7.1, I am able to interact with my phone.
When I start Map Loader, it says 'You have connected at least one phone without a valid Maps drive. Either you are using an old Maps version - then you must update your Maps application or reconnect your phone in mass storage mode - or you have never started your Maps application - then you have to start the Maps application once and restart Map Loader'. Connecting in Mass Storage mode does not seem to help.
I have nokia E7 its giving an error message disk error. I have tried to format the the mass storage with windows but windows also cant format it. So I want to know does the phone has a memory card inside it or its just a chip on the board? I can't even take pictures or use the map.

There is simply no space in n97's c: to install all of nokia apps and e: has a lot of gb !!! I understand that the apps will operate slower if installed on e, but really there is no alternative! And if there isn't, is there at least an option for nokia messaging to store its data on the mass memory? It is one of the best nokia apps/services, but using it with 5-6 mailboxes means that I will not have free space on c and memory errors start to appear. Any option to install your apps in E:?
