There is simply no space in n97's c: to install all of nokia apps and e: has a lot of gb !!! I understand that the apps will operate slower if installed on e, but really there is no alternative! And if there isn't, is there at least an option for nokia messaging to store its data on the mass memory? It is one of the best nokia apps/services, but using it with 5-6 mailboxes means that I will not have free space on c and memory errors start to appear. Any option to install your apps in E:?

Aug 20, 2012My mass memory is showing that it is in use even when it is not connected to any device or gadget, It all happened when I formatted my Mass Memory via PC in mass storage mode !!Format was successful but when I ejected 701 from PC the Default file manager was still showing that the mass memory is in Use. I tried everything from updating my software via Nokia Suite to re-booting my device a multiple times and also removed the battery many times and also I Hard Reset my device many times but to No avail .

I have problem when i wish to format mass memory on my n95 8gb.I uninstall all applications from mobile so app manager is totaly ampty, Nothing is inside...Problem start when i wish to format mass memory using phone. Nokia :: Ovi Suite For Mac - Access The Mass Memory
Mar 11, 2010I think my N97 is playing up. I cant take photos as it says my E drive is full which is nonsense as I only had 5 pics on there no music or video!. When I went to file manager it wont let me access the mass memory as it says "memory in use". I thought if I synced it up to my Mac i could somehow get into the E drive and see what the problem is but low and behold its not compatible. I've had a look on here for Mac versions and theres lots of people talking about it but no links or descriptions as to where I might find it!. I sync is useless as this just does calendar and notes. I need something that will let me access everything on my phone.

Aug 29, 2012I was videoing a long event and at the end the time flashed and then the videoing stoped after about 26mins. I then restarted videoing the next song and ran out of mass storage memory after about 2 mins. I quickly deleted some old photo/vid and continued videoing.
Later that evening I checked the video and non was in the gallary.I check via the PC etc. I also tried a photo recovery app for mass storage solid state disks. All came up blank. I tried to record more video it would show immediately in the video players gallery view but not in the normal gallery and when I tried to play it would only show the last frame and have an error message "unable to play". It still allows the recording of photos.
I have now changed the storage to the SD card and it is fine on the SD. I have change to record to the mass storage area but it will still only do photos

So the phone was master reseted before any of my pictures or videos were backed up. Usually I would be able to take a recovery program on windows like recuva to get the files back but my problem was, was that the mass storage was encrypted. May 6, 2012Since the Belle update, whenever I take a picture I am able to view it in the phone, but when I connect to a PC to transfer the picture in Mass Storage, the pictures are not there. I've looked in both the Mass Memory and Phone Memory folders. I've checked to see if the photo has a saved file name which it does. It finds them in Ovi Suite but I much prefer to use Mass Storage, it's so much easier and quicker to use.

Jan 1, 2010I have been trying to copy some sound data files to the mass memory but it is now saying it is full at 32,252,480KB (32GB) according to PC Suite view. I have added very little but have moved a lot of folders around to organise them better for an audio player and deleted many large folders at the same time, so it should not be full.When I look in File Manager on the phone it says there are 26.4GB free.As a test I deleted another large folder. The free memory according to the phone increased accordingly but the used memory in the PC Suite stayed the same.Surely it does not keep copies in all the previous locations or in some sort of Recycle Bin? If so, how do I empty it?If it is full, why does the phone says it has 26.4GB free? (it is GB not MB!!)

Jan 5, 2010Here what I done since the begging of the problem: when I first use, everything was ok (at least to me). One day without remembering to disconnect the device from Windows XP Sp2, I disconnected the USB cable to aswer a call (it was in mass storage mode).
After that don't remember exactly how but a few minutes laters after reboot the n900 some widgets disappeared from desktop. So I added them one more time but they won't come to desktop... I repeated many times the adding and after that the N900 gone crazy. Some applications still works but others didn't show the icon program on the menu, only the name under the icon appear, and when i tried to execute one of them the screen returned to desktop with all the widgets that first didn't show and the device reboot alone.
So I decided to flash and I followed every single step (that I found in a thread wrote by adamf) to flash maemo on N900 and I did it. But when I try to erase mass memory, the dots on the N900 screen stopped move and in the DOS windows there was: "suitable USB device not found, waiting". The N900 seems freezed. After 30 minutes I disconnected the USB cable and turned ON the device and it is OK. Well, all data is still there. Do I need to reset mass memory to erase the programs downloaded from the application catalogues? Flashing maemo doesn't do that?
Tried two times but the same thing happens and I quitted. I started to use the device and it works fine but I can't install some applications that first I had installed, like bounce evolution, APP widget, facebook widget (impossible installing error). But forecast weather and other widgets works... I can't understand why. Tried also other flasher like Global (first I have intalled Middle East) but I have the same error...
