Don't know how but suddenly all applications installed on Mass Memory (E have disappeared from 'Applications' . Can someone please guide what causes this and how it can be fixed ?

There is no way to install nokia apps (maps, messaging, point and find, etc) in the mass memory of the n97 ?There is simply no space in n97's c: to install all of nokia apps and e: has a lot of gb !!! I understand that the apps will operate slower if installed on e, but really there is no alternative!And if there isn't, is there at least an option for nokia messaging to store its data on the mass memory? It is one of the best nokia apps/services, but using it with 5-6 mailboxes means that I will not have free space on c and memory errors start to appear...

View 6 Replies View RelatedOk everything was working fine till I inserted the memory card back into my phone after copying a video file.I hear a tone that it has detected the memory card but don't see any notification that it is installing memory card apps as it used to show. All my apps are gone but when I check the apps manager, it lists all the previously installed apps are installed. :s No apps icons visible in the apps folder but memory card detected and can be accessed via file manager.I have already removed and reinserted the card several times and turned the phone on/off.What to do ? Are there any files that can be copied so that the phone autodetects the installed apps?
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen ever i do hard format in my symbian belle, i cant see the apps installed in my memory card while when i check the files via 3rd party app like x-plore, i found they r present.The application manager ie- in ''already installed'' also don't show any apps.Thus i always have to re install those apps and due to this some missing apps that r already installed in the card simply uses some amount of free space that is for no use So tell me if there any way to prevent the apps from not showing in menu as well in app manager after hard reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been a BB fan for some years. I'm using now a BB Bold 9700 but I've recently experienced enormous performance problems and flaws on my BB, since I've upgraded to OS6. Mainly the issue appears to be on the Application Storage capabilities. It seems that the device only allows 250MB of application storage, being that the OS6 and some BB required software use the majority of it. I've around 8-10 apps which I've been using: Twitter, Facebook, Dropbox. ScoreMobile, GoogleMaps, Accuweather and a few others.
The application storage memory available is already below 2MB even after deleting all the not needed files, applications, language packs, etc. I've experienced that sometimes, when I reboot the system, there is an increase of space available but it keeps reducing after a few days without any further app installations. This problem affects the overall performance of the device. I've experienced three major things:
1. After being for sometime on stand-by, when I want to use the phone, the BB seems to freeze for about 30sec/1min before it reacts on my commands.
2. Very often, I wake up in the morning and the BB simply deleted all the emails in my inbox. IT appears to be a consequence of a low memory situation.
3. Even just using a few apps, I would like to install a bunch of new other stuff. Nevertheless I'm not able to do so as I do not have memory available for it.
Is there anyway to move the apps to the media file storage? How can I stop this?
Is this a respectable amount? i'm coming from the storm1 where i was usually below 15 so 114 seems awesome. i have quite a few apps to install and wonder if i should delete some pre-installed apps that i will never use.

I have problem when i wish to format mass memory on my n95 8gb.I uninstall all applications from mobile so app manager is totaly ampty, Nothing is inside...Problem start when i wish to format mass memory using phone. There is worrning, that some application is still runing ?! and asq me am i shure. And it format it. I don`t like that advisory, and wish that he format mass memory without that. I think that i tried allmost everything.
1. hard reset my phone
2. reinstaling the firmware (it is 35.0.001)
3. i tray to format it on my pc wit quick format
4. normal format.
But in bouth case, when i formated mass memory on my pc (windows 7), and tray to format it again using my phone, first time is ok without any warning about runing application. Second time there is warning.
I think my N97 is playing up. I cant take photos as it says my E drive is full which is nonsense as I only had 5 pics on there no music or video!. When I went to file manager it wont let me access the mass memory as it says "memory in use". I thought if I synced it up to my Mac i could somehow get into the E drive and see what the problem is but low and behold its not compatible. I've had a look on here for Mac versions and theres lots of people talking about it but no links or descriptions as to where I might find it!. I sync is useless as this just does calendar and notes. I need something that will let me access everything on my phone.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to copy some sound data files to the mass memory but it is now saying it is full at 32,252,480KB (32GB) according to PC Suite view. I have added very little but have moved a lot of folders around to organise them better for an audio player and deleted many large folders at the same time, so it should not be full.When I look in File Manager on the phone it says there are 26.4GB free.As a test I deleted another large folder. The free memory according to the phone increased accordingly but the used memory in the PC Suite stayed the same.Surely it does not keep copies in all the previous locations or in some sort of Recycle Bin? If so, how do I empty it?If it is full, why does the phone says it has 26.4GB free? (it is GB not MB!!)

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?
