N8's Phone memory is only 250MB. The default memory for storage mails and other stuff is phone memory. How can I switch to MASS STORAGE or MEMORY CARD. specially mailForExchange msgs?
View 10 RepliesOn a number of occasions now I have found that my N900 becomes stuck in Mass Storage mode and I'm unable to change it to PC Suite mode. Things I try each time, removed data cable and plug it back in; clear USB devices; power N900 off and start again. Non seem to work and at some point in the future I'll get asked again and can swap mode. Is there a way on the N900 to make it change once connected?I know PC Suite is next to useless with the N900 but it is so much simpler doing appointments etc on the pc keyboard!

View 2 Replies View RelatedNot sure what the problem is, but I think it's a problem with my AV software or something else on my PC or an app that's on my phone, rather than a hardware problem.A few days ago I started having problems accessing the memory card via my PC when my phone was plugged in. A restart of both fixed it on all occasions, now even that doesn't work.It shows up in My Computer but when I try to open it my PC tells me to insert a disk into drive I.It has worked without fail in the past , because my AV software used to flash up a warning that Autorun has been disabled for that device.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI was videoing a long event and at the end the time flashed and then the videoing stoped after about 26mins. I then restarted videoing the next song and ran out of mass storage memory after about 2 mins. I quickly deleted some old photo/vid and continued videoing.
Later that evening I checked the video and non was in the gallary.I check via the PC etc. I also tried a photo recovery app for mass storage solid state disks. All came up blank. I tried to record more video it would show immediately in the video players gallery view but not in the normal gallery and when I tried to play it would only show the last frame and have an error message "unable to play". It still allows the recording of photos.
I have now changed the storage to the SD card and it is fine on the SD. I have change to record to the mass storage area but it will still only do photos
I have a Nokia 808 Pureview and was having problem with a lot of the basic functionality stop working on my phone. So the phone was master reseted before any of my pictures or videos were backed up. Usually I would be able to take a recovery program on windows like recuva to get the files back but my problem was, was that the mass storage was encrypted. Would it still be possible access the encrypted data that was reset off the phone?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the Belle update, whenever I take a picture I am able to view it in the phone, but when I connect to a PC to transfer the picture in Mass Storage, the pictures are not there. I've looked in both the Mass Memory and Phone Memory folders. I've checked to see if the photo has a saved file name which it does. It finds them in Ovi Suite but I much prefer to use Mass Storage, it's so much easier and quicker to use.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere is no way to install nokia apps (maps, messaging, point and find, etc) in the mass memory of the n97 ? There is simply no space in n97's c: to install all of nokia apps and e: has a lot of gb !!! I understand that the apps will operate slower if installed on e, but really there is no alternative! And if there isn't, is there at least an option for nokia messaging to store its data on the mass memory? It is one of the best nokia apps/services, but using it with 5-6 mailboxes means that I will not have free space on c and memory errors start to appear. Any option to install your apps in E:?

I pull the drop-down down and tap "Connected as mass storage" and then try to uncheck Mass Storage... and nothing happens. Wonderful. We went into Options -> Media Options, and everything is set up properly. We even tried changing options here and changing them back. We called VZW blackberry support - they were stumped. we tried KB19717-The BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB Mass Storage Device when connected to a computerand the Microsoft hotfix it references - no luck. (of course, they're all for 8520)the VZW support guy had her "hard reset" her unit (whatever that means).We reformatted the card. no luck.
We tried a battery pull (several - would have to in order to swap memory cards). didn't matterWe uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop Manager 4.7 -059Putting the card into her old (screen-damaged-but-functional-unit) everything works fine. We tried a different card in her unit. No luck.We tried her unit on a different PC (different USB cable too) no luck.The device shows up in Device Manager, and Desktop Manager (and evil Roxio Media manager) all work fine. Can explore the card fine from the device, and the status in options -> media card says it's thereBut it will NOT show up as a mass storage device
Because of what does work, it doesn't feel like a HW issue - maybe a driver issue?
