View 16 RepliesI noticed recently there was a youtube update. I'm seeing whenever I reboot or turn on my phone that the youtube app automatically starts up. It shows on my active apps widget. But it does not physically start up in a window though. If I go to the running apps screen in the application manager, it says that youtube is running the offlinefiletransfer service.
Is there anyway to disable this?
My dad has a Nokia 5800 and gets text messages usually with numbers in, but they aren't phone numbers but Symbian just thinks they are so the are red underlined and clickable (so you can easily dial that number). Now my question is: how do you disable this? The numbers are a bit harder to read when they are red underlined and the click feature is totally useless in this situation.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a e72, and I'm trying to avoid some programs from loading in boot stage, since I see that when booting the system has 53MB or RAM, but then it's decreasing to 40MB because some programs are opening.
For most of programs, even if I disable "AutoStart" it would still load and close, which is taking RAM!!!I'm trying a way to edit manually the "startup list" as I would do in Windows by entering msconfig...
I've tried to clear the folders C:Private101f875a and C:Private100059C9 which contains both a kind of a startup list, but programs are still starting up!! And I have no idea where is that STARTING LIST?
Is there something where I can disable auto lock when in certain apps? I.E.I am in the maps app and want the screen to stay lit until I close the maps? I am new to the jailbreaking scene so sorry if this has been asked(I searched too)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the Lumia 920 for about a week and a half now without any problems, and after the complimentary wireless charger came in, I used it. But now some of my phone's basic apps will not start. When I tap them, it shifts to a black screen (time still visible at the top right), and after a couple of seconds of nothing happening, the phone brings itself back to the start screen. Apps that still work are one's I've downloaded myself from the store and Music+Videos, but just to name a couple, apps like Messaging, Camera, Calculator, Calendar, Contacts, Settings, Mail, Internet Explorer, all give me the problem I've described.
I've tried turning the phone off and on several times, including a soft reset, but no luck.
I have not tried a hard reset yet as I was hoping there might be a solution without having to resort to that.
I have minimal dataplan and would like to have email on the phone but I would like to restrict the frequency of download of new content. On my old iphone4 I can force it to not refresh unless I open the app. Lumia 920 seems to only have the options:As Items ArriveEvery 15 minEvery 30 minHourlyDailyAs I said, I dont have much of a data plan, only 200mb a month. And would only refresh/sync email when I decide to use the app and not let it run on a set schedule in the background as per synd drop down options.

It is getting quite annoying. I have set the 'Show WLAN availabiliy' to Never in the WLAN settings but it still appears every now and then, probably when a network is nearby Im guessing.

My N8 with Belle update suddenly switched itself off. And when I start it again the "progress dots" animates for a while, then stops. This happends 3 times, and then the phone switches off again. Have tried resetting by holding down the power button until 3 vibrations. Why is this happening (have used Belle for a while now without any reboot).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am planning to purchase a Nokia 6700 slide for my mother, however, the seller has stated that it takes a long time to start up, anything between 5 minutes to an hour; and often varies. I am wondering what is casuing the problem with the device before purchasing, other than the start-up time, everything on the handset works perfectly fine (according to the seller).
Would reinstalling the operating system be of any solution? From what I know, there are no other faults for the device, and the boot up error occured totally randomly. This boot- up time is the only fault on the phone; and could be a problem, as my mother may be unable to charge the device at various points, where the phone would turn off due to low battery.
Or are there any other steps which I could take to ensure that this problem doesn't occur? Also, this is an old phone, therefore it is out of warranty.
When I press to video that annoying beep is there ?? can it be removed .
