I noticed recently there was a youtube update. I'm seeing whenever I reboot or turn on my phone that the youtube app automatically starts up. It shows on my active apps widget. But it does not physically start up in a window though. If I go to the running apps screen in the application manager, it says that youtube is running the offlinefiletransfer service.
Is there anyway to disable this?
After booting a lot of needless processes run in the background.How to disable that processes starting automatically ?

For most of programs, even if I disable "AutoStart" it would still load and close, which is taking RAM!!!I'm trying a way to edit manually the "startup list" as I would do in Windows by entering msconfig...
I've tried to clear the folders C:Private101f875a and C:Private100059C9 which contains both a kind of a startup list, but programs are still starting up!! And I have no idea where is that STARTING LIST?
My WiFi Xoom cannot boot due to Error "failed to boot lnx 0x0004". I use the following command to update MZ604 image,after reboot, there is red line "failed to boot lnx 0x0004". PC cannot find the device when I use fastboot command after boot in "Starting Fastboot protocolsupport".

I have just absorbed that while opening mediascape, Playnow also starts and runs in the background, is there any ways to disable playnow starting up. Playnow also ***** a bit of battery when it runs in the back ground.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been reading a lot about the Neo V and I am thinking about buying one but I have just found out something really disturbing: you cannot disable the light sensor. The auto brightness feature works in a way that is undesirable to most people because the screen is too dim when in a dark room or viewing a dark video. (I looked at a friend's Xperia Play, which I think has this same "feature"... it was so dim in a darker room that it was really unpleasant to use - is it the same with Neo V?)
I have read that the only possible way to get around this is root your phone and install an application that disables the light sensor.
Of course I do not want to root the phone because I do not want to risk my warranty. But this auto brightness feature bothers me so much that I might just not buy the phone at all because it would be really annoying to have this nice phone, but with a dark, dim screen. I know, it saves battery life, but what's the point of having a nice display with a dim screen.
Has this changed at all with the ICS update?

I have minimal dataplan and would like to have email on the phone but I would like to restrict the frequency of download of new content. On my old iphone4 I can force it to not refresh unless I open the app. Lumia 920 seems to only have the options:As Items ArriveEvery 15 minEvery 30 minHourlyDailyAs I said, I dont have much of a data plan, only 200mb a month. And would only refresh/sync email when I decide to use the app and not let it run on a set schedule in the background as per synd drop down options.

And when I enabled it back on and tried to update the app over the Play Store it gave me this weird error telling me that it cannot install the update. So I went to the troubleshooting site and tried evrything that was suggested but none of it worked. My phone is not rooted.

Tried disabling , clearing all android stuff , and uninstalling , and nothing seem to work. Also one more problem with the camera video sound.
Every video i make , will only give output through one earbud when i plug them in. Its only with the video recording. Rest works perfectly fine , even the voice recorder.
