I have an app that I don't want to be auto updated, but I want the others to keep being auto updated. In the meanwhile, I turned off auto update entirely but it's a huge inconvenience having to update all the apps manually. Is there a way to keep a specific app from getting auto updated and still keep the auto update on?
View 2 RepliesSo I have 2 calendars, my personal gmail calendar, and my work (exchange) calendar. I like the gmail calendar to have a certain notification sound, and I like the work calendar to use another.
I also use Microsoft's Outlook app for my work email and calendar, and set those notification sounds how I want them.
What happens is if I have a work calendar notification popup, I get the right notification and sound from the Outlook app, but then I also get a notification and wrong sound (it uses the gmail calendar sound) from the Android calendar app.
I know I could just disable the work calendar within the Android calendar app, but I want it in there because I have a widget set up that shows my agenda from both my personal and work calendars. If I removed the work calendar, it would leave the widget.
So I don't know if all that was confusing or not, but here is what I want: Personal gmail account calendar notifications from Android calendar appWork exchange account calendar notifications from Outlook calendar app. Both personal gmail calendar and exchange calendar set up in Android calendar app so I can see them both in my agenda widget
What I don't want is when a work event occurs, is to get 2 notifications about it using 2 different notification sounds. I only want to be notified from the Outlook calendar app.
Basically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.

I am new to android phones, I cannot find the setting to enable or disable auto rotate. You would think that searching for the words "auto" or "rotate" might come up with something, but no dice...
View 13 Replies View RelatedI noticed recently there was a youtube update. I'm seeing whenever I reboot or turn on my phone that the youtube app automatically starts up. It shows on my active apps widget. But it does not physically start up in a window though. If I go to the running apps screen in the application manager, it says that youtube is running the offlinefiletransfer service.
Is there anyway to disable this?
I performed a factory reset yesterday (I am on 4.4.4, Verizon M8, never rooted or modded), and my Play Store hasn't updated from version 4.9.13.I've tapped the version number in the Settings screen and it continues to say that it is up to date, but the 5.0.x versions have been out for over a month now (and I had one of them prior to resetting yesterday) so I wouldn't think I would still be subject to a staged rollout...
I've tried clearing cache and data for both the Play Store and Download Manager, clearing system cache, rebooting, etc. and I'm still getting told that it's up to date. Do staged rollouts sometimes impact you again if you do a factory data reset?
I have a galaxy s6 and is there anyway to auto play videos on it cut I had this feature on the note 3 but I don't seem to find it on the s6.

Remove Google account and log it back in. But still nothing so i manually downloaded from apk mirror and even that way says not installed when trying to update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago I started to get these annoying virus like pop ups at random times. It's usually when I unlock my phone. It will open to chrome to a Web page that looks like Facebook saying I won a prize. The latest Web page is androidmax.mobi. The Web pages change from time to time but always end with .mobi. I Googled for a fix but can't find anything. It also at other times when I unlock or just random times open the play store to different games. This is extremely annoying. I haven't installed any new apps lately either but to just be safe I've deleted everything I've downloaded in the past couple months and still comes up. I've cleared cache and data on the play store and chrome too. It seems to stop for a few hours but always comes back.

Google just updated the market and gave it a new name, the "Play Store". Now the little shortcut in Blurs launcher gives an error when you click on it (the one in the top right). It says that the "Application is not installed in your phone". Seems like the update broke the path/link.

But I have noticed that since then 3 out of 5 times I unlock my phone it unlocks to the NBA game time app page in the play store. I now don't remember which app suggested this download. So I assume it was the sports center app but can't find anything that would keep triggering this issue. I even download the app and deleted to see if it would stop but to no success...

But something just does not seem right while using apps that require scrolling up or down. EX: Facebook, Twitter, Play Store and especially the browser. Just to note Im on TMobile and am experiencing these after an uodate and factory reset after the update.

Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.
