I'm trying to use an app from the playstore called "vipps".
It's from a bank in norway called DNB, and it let's you transfer money near instantly from one to another.
This app refuses to run on my phone because it's rooted and have a custom rom etc.
I'm running Xtrestolite Deodexed with the included alliance firmware.
I have read somewhere about Rootcloak Plus with Cydia (what this really is, but i understood cydia is like app store for iOS jailbreaked phones?)
I'm wondering if this exsists on 5.0.2 lollipop (and how to get it / install it if it does), or if there is any other known way of bypassing this applications refusal to run on my device.
My phone is rooted and I've recently went to the boot menu and restarted everything from scratch. Now Imy starting over and I can't load the play store. It says I have no connection when I am clearly connected to the Internet.
the play store in my galaxy S5 crashed and i had to clear its data, cache and finally uninstalled it. by so doing i somehow installed an older version of the play store. how do i return to what i originally had?
I rooted my device on 5.1.1 with odin insatlled some things like flasher to flash twrp but after i tried to install freedom (in app purchses app) there was a messege "google play stopped wprking" i rebooted and everything was ok i tried another version of freedom and now google play and youtube say "no connection".....
Just had my Galaxy S6 last week, but whenever I try to install some apps, I'be been getting alot of this error message saying "your device isn't compatible with this version". I don't want to root my phone...
A few weeks ago I started to get these annoying virus like pop ups at random times. It's usually when I unlock my phone. It will open to chrome to a Web page that looks like Facebook saying I won a prize. The latest Web page is androidmax.mobi. The Web pages change from time to time but always end with .mobi. I Googled for a fix but can't find anything. It also at other times when I unlock or just random times open the play store to different games. This is extremely annoying. I haven't installed any new apps lately either but to just be safe I've deleted everything I've downloaded in the past couple months and still comes up. I've cleared cache and data on the play store and chrome too. It seems to stop for a few hours but always comes back.
I just got my phone yesterday. I tried to download apps from the play store, and it just keeps saying it's downloading. But it never starts. I've tried just doing one at a time, and it still doesn't work.
I've disabled some of the bloatware on my phone in order to get better battery life, however as soon as I did that I couldn't access play store anymore. I then enabled back all the bloatware but that didn't work. How to get play store working again?
I have an app that I don't want to be auto updated, but I want the others to keep being auto updated. In the meanwhile, I turned off auto update entirely but it's a huge inconvenience having to update all the apps manually. Is there a way to keep a specific app from getting auto updated and still keep the auto update on?
I have every app update and ATT Galaxy s6 update. I ve deleted the app, made a new account, restarted device, cleared cache, cleared data..everything...Ive ready people are having the same issue but there doesn't seen to be a resolution.
I've tried restarting and removing the battery but even after that I still get an error downloading update notification from the play store. I do have to most updated version of lollipop t-mobile has for the S5 (5.0).
For a couple of days now, I can no longer download Apps from the Google Play Store. The store shows "Installed", but they're no where to be found on my phone. Never had this happen on any phone before.
Recently an application requested me to download "NBA game time" to use an additional feature. I opted out of downloading it. But I have noticed that since then 3 out of 5 times I unlock my phone it unlocks to the NBA game time app page in the play store. I now don't remember which app suggested this download. So I assume it was the sports center app but can't find anything that would keep triggering this issue. I even download the app and deleted to see if it would stop but to no success...
I just got my s6 edge today! Couldn't be any happier with the build quality and the fluidity that is now touchwiz. But something just does not seem right while using apps that require scrolling up or down. EX: Facebook, Twitter, Play Store and especially the browser. Just to note Im on TMobile and am experiencing these after an uodate and factory reset after the update.
As the title says, my play store app is now opening randomly and interrupting whatever i'm trying to open but not to a specific app or anything. Its just opening to an "item not found / retry" page. Seems to be since this latest security patch from VZW over the weekend. I've cleared cache and data from the play store app as well as play services.
Like the subject says: does the Google play store automatically install the arm64 version of apps like Google chrome ? how can I check that? I didn't found anything about it when looking in the "about " section of the settings
I would like to ask - is there an app in App Store, with which you could hide some apps, which you have in your Iphone? I mean to hide Apps, not videos or photos..
Rooting (or Jailbreaking if you're used to the iPhone) is pretty awesome - it enables you to use a whole bunch of apps that are previously offlimits (such as Titanium Backup - a piece of software that will back up all of your .apks. It also enables you to remove some of the built-in bloat that Sony stuffed onto the Xperia Play which frees up a bit more space for new apps (Who honestly needs the Chinese keyboard on their phone?!)The classic way to root a phone is to first unlock the boatloader and then through that, install a version of your ROM that allows root access. However, although SE are providing a way to unlock the bootloader on a Play, this is not ideal because:Unlocking the bootloader automatically invalidates your warrantyWhen you have unlocked your bootloader, the software update function on your phone stops working as SE consider your phone to be "modified"Most phones are SIM-locked to a particular network and are therefore not even candidates to be bootloader unlocked The solution is to root your phone without unlocking the bootloader. How? A new application called Gingerbreak does it all for you! Literally, all you need to do is download the Gingerbreak .apk, run it and enjoy your new rooted Play. I can confirm that it is 100% working and took about 5 minutes from start to finish.
I've been looking all around the internets for how to root my r800at running 2.3.3, to no avail. It seems like there isn't any way to do this on the new .285 build. I have tried the DooMLord, UnlockRoot &Super OneClick approaches and all have failed. I have installed the Java JDK, Android SDK, and the SE PC Companion software on my computer, so if any of that is useful, I'm willing to use it. I am a complete noob, but finally decided to root after constantly getting the "Low on space" error message every time I try to update something for the last week. I'm looking for a solution to either a) root the phone without unlocking the bootloader (which is my first choice) or b) solve the "low on space" issue. I love my XPERIA Play and changing phones is not something I'm willing to do. Hopefully you guys can help. Also, being a noob, any answers provided should be done with the mindset that you're talking to a five-year-old.
I have noticed an issue with the Galaxy S5 that apparently only occurs with the Verizon variant. I work for a place called Wireless Advocates, we are the cell phone kiosk inside of Costco. I'm asking about this because I've had three customers come in to ask about this background data issue.
I'm not sure what triggers this issue but when I try opening up google play I get the "Background Data Disabled : Google Play Store Needs background data to be Enabled" error. It then gives you the ability to either quit or enable the data. If you press enable it takes you to the account screen in settings.
When I go to Data usage the option to "restrict background data" is greyed out. You can't even select it and it isn't checkmarked either. Just to clarify, accessing the internet and other things on the phone work perfectly fine. It's just the use of Google Play that is having issues. I called Samsung customer care and they aren't aware of this issue at all. Also note that force stopping google play, play services, removing the google accounts and adding them back and rebooting the phone haven't solved it. After the reboot the phone will appear fine and then a box that says "Restricting background data".
I have tried everything to try and resolve my issues but have not been able to do so. First, I accidently hid a picture by checking the 'hide' field. Now how do you get it back?! I've had a couple of my friends with the same phone try and figure it out and they havent been able to.Secondly, when I choose a picture to be my wallpaper, it shows in a zoomed in version of the top left corner of the picture. I do recall when I was choosing the picture to set as my wallpaper, that I zoomed in on it before setting it, but used the 'back' key to remove the zoom feature. It appeared ok on the screen but set the wallpaper as the zoomed in picture. Now it doesn't matter which picture I choose, I get on the top left side, zoomed in showing up on my wallpaper. - even though it appears normal before setting it.
I now have a S6 and so far it is not rooted. The one thing I miss a lot is the ability to "completely" remove all ads. AdAway does a great job but you need to be rooted to use it. Ad Blocker tries but does not get all the ads . Of all the things I miss by not rooting this is at the top of my list.
I've a galaxy s6 with stock rom. I've rooted my device and I like to encrypt my device. But when I do so, it stuck on the encryption screen for 1 day. When rebooting, the device tell me to wipe the phone because of a failure of encryption.
