I just got my s6 edge today! Couldn't be any happier with the build quality and the fluidity that is now touchwiz. But something just does not seem right while using apps that require scrolling up or down. EX: Facebook, Twitter, Play Store and especially the browser. Just to note Im on TMobile and am experiencing these after an uodate and factory reset after the update.
View 24 RepliesA few weeks ago I started to get these annoying virus like pop ups at random times. It's usually when I unlock my phone. It will open to chrome to a Web page that looks like Facebook saying I won a prize. The latest Web page is androidmax.mobi. The Web pages change from time to time but always end with .mobi. I Googled for a fix but can't find anything. It also at other times when I unlock or just random times open the play store to different games. This is extremely annoying. I haven't installed any new apps lately either but to just be safe I've deleted everything I've downloaded in the past couple months and still comes up. I've cleared cache and data on the play store and chrome too. It seems to stop for a few hours but always comes back.

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I've had my nexus 6 for about 2 weeks. The first week I had it, everything was good. No issues at all. Then, a couple days ago I went to open chrome and a pop up came up saying I had a virus. I backed out of it, downloaded AVANT and it didn't find any issues. Now when I go to chrome, the phone randomly redirects to the play store trying to get get me to download all kinds of different apps. I have run the adware and antivirus software and I have also done a full factory reset on the phone.

Remove Google account and log it back in. But still nothing so i manually downloaded from apk mirror and even that way says not installed when trying to update.

When moving from screen to screen the scroll effect moves the wallpaper sideways slightly and I was wondering what width it should be. I know the screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 so I'm assuming it should be wider than 1440, but by how much?
Also, how can I get live wallpapers on it? Do they require an app or can I just download a live wallpaper and load it using Nova?

I have performed a factory reset and first impressions are that it is super smooth and silky now when scrolling again. I am yet to sign Chrome into my google account to sync a tonne of my bookmarks and see if this affects performance. Also, waiting on all my 237 apps to install in the background first before carrying out another test too. I will report back once I've done so.
On my previous factory reset, somebody said I should remove last pass, which I did but it made no difference as I still had other accessibility services enabled. So the problem resurfaced.
Okay, so it is all down to accessibility services, IMHO. Once enabled, Chrome seems to suffer from this dreaded laggggg and slow touch response or sometimes freeze and crash on sites like daily mail, XDA and huffpost. I have performed a factory reset and not enabled any accessibility services yet and everything is hunky dory, even with full bookmark and account sync.
I will update when and if problem recurs. All seems well for last couple weeks...
How I can get twitter notifications? When I move the slider to the right it stays grey and doesn't turn green and I get an error message!
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time i change chrome to default browser it does not stick. If i click on a link in email, google+, or twitter i still get prompted to use chrome or internet.
I've searched and searched everyone says same thing but nothing works.
I've checked "always open with" chrome and does not work.
I've went under all apps and tried to clear default for internet but it is grayed out and i can not click it.
Under default applications it does not show browsers so i can't modify there.
Under application manager I've also reset application preferences and this did not let me change the default browser either.
I've downloaded an app called "default app manager" and it allows me to change the browser default but it does not "stick". as soon as i click a link i'm still prompted with an option for browser.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 edge and everytime I log on to Facebook a popup comes up that says Facebook wants access to your Samsung Galaxy. I have given it access and it still comes up everytime I log on and it's starting to get very annoying. I have turned off my notifications yet this pop up keep coming up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I went out in my car and figured I wanted to listen to my music on my phone. Normally, I would listen to my music via bluetooth in my parents car but since my car stereo doesn't have bluetooth capability, I had to use USB. I didn't think I needed Bluetooth at the time I bought it since my iPhone that I had before worked flawlessly via USB. The stereo is an aftermarket Pioneer X35UI and all I get on the stereo is USB N/A. I was wondering if there was some sort of software/ workaround that would possibly make this possible to listen via USB. I could always listen via 3.5 mm jack but I wouldn't be able to control the music through the car. I would have to fumble around in my phone which is not good in a driving situation.

Video problem: I could not watch any video in my device. In Facebook application and got this error “failed to play video an unknown error has occurred". YouTube app. got this error "there was a problem while playing touch to retry". Gallery video even if it has been recorded by the camera earlier.
Audio problem: I’m not able to play any music, got this error “sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file." and this file is the "Over the Horizon" song which came with the device. When i go to the settings to change the ringtone I am not hearing any sound for all them. I did not put the phone in silent mode but no sound for any received calls, notifications or SMS.
I tried everything i know to solve this issue, I done all of the following but it does not works: Clear the cache memory. Uninstall all the application from the device. Factory reset. Update software.
The only thing work with me is to restart the device but it will not solve the problem permanently, it will happen again after few hours.
When using Chrome to view a page with white text on a black background, white lines appear under the scroll bar on the right of the screen. They track with the text as I scroll up and down. I also notice them on white background/black text, but it is harder to see.Is this normal from Chrome/AMOLED screens or is there a hardware issue with my phone?

I looked in the settings all over the phone how to make it to continue playing but couldn't find anything. Also is there a way to pull volume stop/play control on the lock screen?. I miss this feature as I had it on my iphone 6 and also on the iphone music continues playing regardless if apps are on a background or screen is locked.

I want Chrome to be my default, and when I click on most links it is, but when I search something from the google search widget, whether I use my voice or type, if I click a link it opens in the default LG internet browser.
I went to apps and defaults, then cleared 'Internet' from being the default and when I tried another search I was asked which I wanted as default and selected Chrome.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI seem to have developed a strange problem since the update to 5.1.1 a couple of days ago. When I connect to my Edge via bluetooth, and use Google Play Music, there is a beep in the background and the music stutters and then continue playing, then about 30 seconds later it happens again...it coninues for about 10 to 15 minutes then the problem disappeared entirely. I don't believe it is entirely Google Play Music because I paused Google Play Music and the beeping continued in the background. ......perhaps the bluetooth connection? I haven't been able to reproduce the error but it has happened twice.
