Is there a way to Backup Themes that were downloaded from the Theme Store ? Is it possible so these themes can be later restored to a fresh S6 without re-downloading them from the Theme Store ?
View 1 RepliesAs the title says it; I'm having problems downloading any theme from the app store. Any theme I choose and hit "Download" on it just brings up a window for 1/2 a second that I believe says "Downloading" but never actually does anything. Another weird thing, the other 2 themes that are kind of defaulted for options that you can download both work. I'm not sure if this is a silly question, however I can't seem to figure it out as no one else seems to have this issue.
Random pieces of information:
1. Yes, my phone is rooted, however this issue was still around before I did so.
2. I have the AT&T variant Galaxy S6.
3. I've checked to see if there's any apparent apps I disabled that may cause it but the only app that seems like it may be related is "Theme Store", and that of course isn't disabled.
I tried for 5 times wrong my pattern lock. then after it is asking enter backup pin. I don't know the backup pin .

View 9 Replies View RelatedOkay so my dad wants to get into the security option in his phone to add a fingerprint, however to do so required the backup password.
Knowing my dad, he had forgotten the password and cannot get in here, the only suggestion we have found is reset your phone which obviously is a bit last resort.
I have found some suggestions I. e. sign in your Google account however that did not work nor did a suggestion which was to go in private mode and from there it will prompt the fingerprint and make that default.
so my question is how do I restart the password?
I have some themes from ovi I downloaded and now I want 2 remove it but I cant because when I open my installation app, I cant find the names of this themes. Like in my themes I have some one name (55555) but when I am searching I cant find same name or even closer name and I cant remove it from the themes already.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've lost my 3rd party themes!I updated my OS to 4.7.1.61 OTA with no problems. I did have to reload a few applications (facebook, myspace, etc) but everything seemed to be working fine. After the update, my screen defaulted back to the original VZW Precision Zen theme. When I accessed the theme list to change it back to the downloaded theme I was previously using, it was gone!! The original BB Precision & VZW were listed, but the theme I downloaded from bplay was not. I checked by application list and sure enough, it was there.I redownloaded the theme from bplay, installed it, pulled the battery and rebooted... nothing, still not listed. I downloaded a theme from App World and did the same nothing, not listed. (I'm somewhat experienced in downloading themes due to multiple device replacements) I contacted bplay who sent me another theme free of charge for my inconvenience. Downloaded, installed, rebooted you guessed it, nothing. Yet all 3 themes showed in my applications list. I contacted the vendor for the App World theme, who told me it worked fine in the simulator with the new OS version, try a device wipe and/or contact my carrier. Onto VZW after 36 hours or so I got a reply telling me to indeed backup, wipe the device, reload, re-register, redownload the theme and retry. I have now done this (which is a real PITA having to reload ALL apps/customizations) and still neither theme works let alone even show up in my themes list. I've only seen one or two other posts for this problem between VZW, BB, & CB Forums, all void of any replies or suggestions. Anyone have a clue out there because the "professionals" seem to have no idea. - Themeless

But something just does not seem right while using apps that require scrolling up or down. EX: Facebook, Twitter, Play Store and especially the browser. Just to note Im on TMobile and am experiencing these after an uodate and factory reset after the update.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy friend and I are both experiencing huge background data usage with the Google Backup Transport service that is part of Google Play Services.
My S6 Edge on 5.1.1 has been steadily increasing it's consumption of background data with this service over the last month and it's currently sitting at having used over 1.7GB.
My friend's Galaxy S4 on 5.0.1 is experiencing almost exactly the same data consumption over the exact same period of time. Something is deffo up with this but what it is.
Some old solutions I've read online include disabling background sync etc. but this isn't a solution and doesn't explain what it had been fine up until this month.

I go fist to Settings > Themes > Select Theme > Themes >Options ... has four options ... Details , Type of view, sort and search. I have not found any " delete " option to delete the selected theme.
I recently downloaded some themes for my n97 mini from The OVI store. The themes are pretty good but I am facing a peculiar problem every time I download and install a theme. After sometime, whenever I unlock the screen, rather than The home screen popping up, The calling screen pops up i.e.. The screen which is displayed when I am on a call. The right and left selection keys show dialer and options respectively and the screen itself is blank instead of The home screen defaults and The widgets...I am facing this problem only with The downloaded themes and not the preinstalled nokia themes.Can someone please help me resolving this problem because its quite annoying?
