Nov 20, 2010I got the Backup&Restore app downloaded, but when I try to open it I get the error message: "install blocked. For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in android market." I can figure out where to change these security settings. Doesn't seem to be in phone settings or browser settings.

Apr 5, 2011I've recently downloaded Asphalt 6 from selecting the game within the Xperia Play App when I slide the game pad out.Since downloading I can only open the game by going into my Applications and selecting the game.Does anyone know a way I can get the game to appear within the Xperia Play App so I can use it as a game library?

Nov 20, 2010recently I have experience this problem, I have downloaded some application from Market, it's already 100% but it's not installed on my phone, when I click on it, still said downloading, even it's already 100% and I have been waiting 1 hours, is there any way to resuming download manually? If I press cancel download, it will start from 0 and will happen again, getting tired with this :'( but this is not always happen to all application, mostly big size application.

Jan 21, 2010I've lost my 3rd party themes!I updated my OS to 4.7.1.61 OTA with no problems. I did have to reload a few applications (facebook, myspace, etc) but everything seemed to be working fine. After the update, my screen defaulted back to the original VZW Precision Zen theme. When I accessed the theme list to change it back to the downloaded theme I was previously using, it was gone!! The original BB Precision & VZW were listed, but the theme I downloaded from bplay was not. I checked by application list and sure enough, it was there.I redownloaded the theme from bplay, installed it, pulled the battery and rebooted... nothing, still not listed. I downloaded a theme from App World and did the same nothing, not listed. (I'm somewhat experienced in downloading themes due to multiple device replacements) I contacted bplay who sent me another theme free of charge for my inconvenience. Downloaded, installed, rebooted you guessed it, nothing. Yet all 3 themes showed in my applications list. I contacted the vendor for the App World theme, who told me it worked fine in the simulator with the new OS version, try a device wipe and/or contact my carrier. Onto VZW after 36 hours or so I got a reply telling me to indeed backup, wipe the device, reload, re-register, redownload the theme and retry. I have now done this (which is a real PITA having to reload ALL apps/customizations) and still neither theme works let alone even show up in my themes list. I've only seen one or two other posts for this problem between VZW, BB, & CB Forums, all void of any replies or suggestions. Anyone have a clue out there because the "professionals" seem to have no idea. - Themeless

Feb 19, 2010I recently downloaded some themes for my n97 mini from The OVI store. The themes are pretty good but I am facing a peculiar problem every time I download and install a theme. After sometime, whenever I unlock the screen, rather than The home screen popping up, The calling screen pops up i.e.. The screen which is displayed when I am on a call. The right and left selection keys show dialer and options respectively and the screen itself is blank instead of The home screen defaults and The widgets...I am facing this problem only with The downloaded themes and not the preinstalled nokia themes.Can someone please help me resolving this problem because its quite annoying?

Jul 15, 2010Ever since I updated my Nokia 5230 software from version 10.xxx to 12.xxx to 20.xxx and yesterday to 21.xxx, I'm have not been able to install any sis/sisx theme onto my mobile and have also checked the application installation settings. Its goes through the entire installation and finally reads "No Access Unable to Install" finally when i remove the memory card and put it onto my frnd's Nokia E71 / 72 and install it to the memory it goes through and i'm able to use the theme. I've downloaded these themes from non-Nokia sources but expect support as both my frnd and me updated software yesterday to 21.xxxx for my 5230 and 31.xxx for his E72. He able to install themes but i'm not. Enclosed is the snap shot of the same. Couldn't get better than this Pls help expecting and early reply

Mar 14, 2010I used Ovi Suite to upgrade my ovi maps to 3.03 a few weeks ago when I got the phone. I installed maps for a few US states as well. Yesterday I wanted to add maps for another state. Ovi tells me I don't have maps installed on my phone. Then it says it needs to upgrade Ovi suite so I do that. Then it says it wants to install ovi maps on my phone. Ok, fine. Turns out it's trying to install version 3.01 on my phone which of course I don't want to, assuming 3.03 is better than 3.01. So what gives here? It seems I can only install ovi maps using the Ovi Suite, right? I send an email to Nokia but perhaps someone here knows the answer.

But it didn't rebooted. Instead, I got a menu from Team Project with some options. I just hit the "reboot" button and it rebooted to Android 4.4.4. Look like I have lost the lollipop update??! When I go back to check for an update, it says my device is up to date.
Why the Team Project menu showed??! What should I have done? Why the update is lost?

Mar 24, 2012I have a new C2-01. I know it is relatively basic in function but am sure that videos that are downloaded and installed to the device ought to work. I have looked into it as much as I can and it appears the Mpeg-4 or mp4 certainly should play on the device. I have managed to install an mp4 video and only get the audio of the video but no picture. How to get everything working - either which types of video format I need to use or whether a video player needs to be installed. I wish to use it on a monitor rather than the small phone screen via the av connection lead that nokia uses on many of its phones.
