Sep 9, 2010I don't have Internet at home and I've been trying to update to 4.1 manually... But it wont let me! I direct downloaded the correct file, then plugged in my iPhone. I selected the device in itunes10 and the. Held down "option" and clicked "update" I selected the downloaded file and it looked like everything was working. But, then it said that it couldn't install the update because it couldn't reach the apple update server... Isn't that the point? So t doesn't need to hit the server?

Mar 14, 2010I used Ovi Suite to upgrade my ovi maps to 3.03 a few weeks ago when I got the phone. I installed maps for a few US states as well. Yesterday I wanted to add maps for another state. Ovi tells me I don't have maps installed on my phone. Then it says it needs to upgrade Ovi suite so I do that. Then it says it wants to install ovi maps on my phone. Ok, fine. Turns out it's trying to install version 3.01 on my phone which of course I don't want to, assuming 3.03 is better than 3.01. So what gives here? It seems I can only install ovi maps using the Ovi Suite, right? I send an email to Nokia but perhaps someone here knows the answer.

Nov 20, 2014I just received a notification to update my rooted Nexus 5 to Lollipop. It downloaded the 440 megabytes and prompted for a reboot.
But it didn't rebooted. Instead, I got a menu from Team Project with some options. I just hit the "reboot" button and it rebooted to Android 4.4.4. Look like I have lost the lollipop update??! When I go back to check for an update, it says my device is up to date.
Why the Team Project menu showed??! What should I have done? Why the update is lost?

Nov 20, 2010I got the Backup&Restore app downloaded, but when I try to open it I get the error message: "install blocked. For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in android market." I can figure out where to change these security settings. Doesn't seem to be in phone settings or browser settings.

Jun 2, 2012I was sent a new Blackberry curve 8520 as my old one broke, and am trying to set up my email accounts again. First, I couldn't remember my username/password combination for BIS. I rang my service provider several times and was told that it was nothing to do with them and that only Blackberry could sort out the situation. Well eventually I managed to get in to my email settings and set up two email accounts, however there was still one more I wanted to set up, but when I tried to log in again it wouldn't work! Even though I used the same combination as before. Using my username, I requested my password to be sent to me and it said it was sending but I still haven't gotten anything.

Feb 4, 2011For Storm2 9550 users...I'm a texter kind of person and the Storm 2 9550 was certainly a mistake purchase as I was mislead by my carrier into thinking it would be a good phone for me because it has WiFi capabilities and the ability to text many people at once. I don't think my carrier realized that I'm not 80 years old, I can text more than 2 characters per second. I need a quick and snappy firmware for texting where my phone won't slow down so much as to only be able to text 1 character every second. Not only that, but a web browser that doesn't take 20 seconds to load [URL] (although I don't use it much anyway as I have a laptop). Seriously, can we get a custom firmware meant for high speed texting?
