i have had a blackberry curve 8520. i have tried downloading blackberry app world and all it has said is error. i have updated it to the latest software and i still cant download.

A few months ago my blackberry decided not to work and so I had to do a full format and re-install and since upgrading to OS5 I have had the problem with purchasing Apps; Downloading free Apps is fine. I have also lost Memopad and can not restore it, but the biggest problem is buying apps.
I have been getting the error message for the past 2 months. I've tried the option of setting via the Advanced Options > TCP/IP > APN and ticking the APN box and typing "Internet", and my App World still gives me the same error message, I rebooted my phone after the setting and tried to access the app world, still got an error message, i tried it without rebooting and the results are still the same. What do I do now?

Verify your internet connection and try again (error30637). I am able to get to Google through the internet browser, so I don't understand why I can't get into AppWorld. I have called my provider (Cricket) to make sure I have a plan that includes the Blackberry Browser and have been told yes.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a brandnew sim-free BB 9700 off Amazon UK and I have updated the OS to the latest version (v5.0.0.593). I use it with a sim-only O2 Germany pay monthly plan. I have also downloaded Apps World (1.1.0.33), Application Center (5.0.0) and BB Maps (5.0.0) using the Mac Desktop Manager, but they do not appear in the menu. They do appear on the Application list under options. I have rebooted the device as outlined in the BB Online Support instructions (pressing alt/cap/del ///// removing the battery) but there's still no sign of the icons. I have thoroughly looked for them, including sub folders etc, but they do not appear anywhere. Can anyone help?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt's been a while since I came here last. I just bought a Blackberry Storm 9530 (it's Telus, but I'm using on Rogers). I love the phone. Everything is working (internet, email, bb messenger, etc), but I am having 2 issues with 2 apps that I have never seen before.
1 - Weathereye - I downloaded the V2 of weathereye for the storm off the proper website http://blackberry.theweathernetwork.com and it downloaded just fine. But I am getting an IOException error HTTP not found when I try to load it. I had removed V1 before downloading this, and I can't figure out why it isn't working.
2 - App World - Downloaded directly from the Blackberry website to the phone. It loads fine and works for a few hours, then I get a (No Ports Found) message. I can't figure out why this error is coming up. As mentioned with both issues, I have tried the internet at the same time and it is working so I am connecting to the network properly - the apps just aren't working.
Anyone else has issues with App World. I am trying to login with my paypal information and it's not letting me, i get an error that tells me to try again later. Anyone else having issues with this after the upgrade? I need to get activation codes for apps i bought through app world but can't get into my account.
