just got myself a Lumia 1020 yesterday(yay)The quality is superb and the audio recording is rich like fudge.But there's one thing that is the auto colour fix on my pictures after they're taken.I've search settings and all, but still no luck. Is there other ways to disable it?
View 6 RepliesI recently got a Lumia 1020 and I am very disappointed with how off the colours on the display are. Pictures often look very yellow on the screen, though the same pictures look more accurate when viewed on other devices. It seems to me that a phone focused on taking pictures should have a screen that has more accurate colours.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm coming from an iPhone 4s, and I'm plugging in my 1020 into my car via usb/mini usb cord. Well as soon as I plug it in, my podcasts fire up and play automatically at random. I try to go to my podcasts or pandora and play other files and they just play on top of each other.
How can I tell where the autoplay is coming from? I HAD a podcast app, but have since deleted it thinking that could have been causing the problem. But no such luck.
When I start any camera app on my Lumia 1020 the picture is blurry if I'm pointing the camera at anything over 6 inches away or so. When I push the camera button in it attempts to focus. Sometimes it will focus on distant objects the way it should, but most of the time it does not and everything stays blurry. This happened after receiving the latest update(not sure what update version). I've tried reinstalling Nokia Cam but it does not fix the problem. I haven't tried resetting to factory setting yet because I do not wish to have to redo everything on the phone.

On my old iphone4 I can force it to not refresh unless I open the app. Lumia 920 seems to only have the options:As Items ArriveEvery 15 minEvery 30 minHourlyDailyAs I said, I dont have much of a data plan, only 200mb a month. And would only refresh/sync email when I decide to use the app and not let it run on a set schedule in the background as per synd drop down options.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 1020 and love taking photos with it and I love using G+. Using G+ on the web apps on WP8 isn't too shabby but I hated getting pictures and videos to it because it'd mean I'd have to plug in my phone to my pc and upload the photos to G+ from there. Well, that is no longer the case!!
Google released the new version of Picasa today which is the Program for Mac/Windows that allows you to manage your G+ photos on the computer. One of the biggest features they added today way autouploading photos on your PC to G+. WP8 already autouploads to skydrive so I pointed the picasa autoupload folder to my skydrive folder on my PC and it works FLAWLESSLY!!
If you want to do this you just need a few things.
1. Install Picasa on your PC/MAC
2. Install Skydrive on your PC/MAC
3. Point the Picasa Autobackup folder to your Skydrive photos folder on computer
So you'll take a photo, it'll auto back up to Skydrive, which then syncs with your PC. Picasa then grabs the photos as they are downloaded to your PC and uploads them to G+!
My 1020 photos are appalling at the moment. They are just unfocused. Took photos of my daughter seeing Santa yesterday, no time to fiddle with settings. Ended up with awful out of focus shots, friends Iphone pics were fab. So fed up, I nearly missed the pics altogether because of the loading screen.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I had to select the option to find photos and videos shot with Nokia Camera. However, after it finished my phone wanted to upload my entire gallery to SkyDrive...again! I don't fancy having a wait a few hours to upload the same images which are already on SkyDrive but there doesn't seem to be an option to cancel the queue. The only option is to cancel each individual image which will take ages. I've tried disabling auto upload to SkyDrive but the photos remain in the queue, even after a reboot.

Most of my camera use is to take a pictures of my kids.The problem is that I don't success to get a good pictures because the kids I always in movement and the Canberra doesn't focus on them well.I tried to set the shutter speed to be faster but the I get a darkness pictures.Why there is no modes like Nature,sport,kids,etc and the camera will set the values automatically due the selection mode? View 18 Replies View RelatedI wanted to take all my high res photos off of my 1020 to back them up, also to free space but when I connect it to my Windows Desktop PC and go to the camera roll folder and select all the high res photos, Windows constantly says an unexpected error occurred and cannot transfer the photos It asks if I want to try again and nothing works. I then tried to import the photos using iPhoto on my Macbook Pro and it sees the phone as 909, and just says Loading...I left it for 2 hours and still says loading. iPhoto didn't freeze it is just not reading the photos.

My main question at this point is the ability to automatically sync pictures to my desktop. My last phone was a Motorola Razr Maxx which automatically downloaded all photos I took to my desktop as soon as it connected to my wifi. Is there an option similar with the WP8? I have Google Drive and just set up One Drive but I would rather have it hit my wifi to copy files down locally. I know I can do it manually but I like not having to worry about it.
My 1020 seems to have a problem when set to infinity focus...the pictures end up a bit blurry. The strange thing is that on autofocus the picture is perfectly sharp...which makes me think this is a software issue rather than hardware.
I uploaded 2 pictures to show you the issue. Both were taken on a tripod and 2 seconds self timer to avoid handshake. ISO was set at 100 and everything else left on auto except for focus mode.

Got my 1020, it's great so far, loving the pictures. I've noticed one thing though, not a problem so much of a curiousity. The edges of my pictures seem to be stretched slightly, it's especially noticeable when someone is standing at the edge of the picture, they'll have a wide head.Is it something to do with the huge sensor?

No matter what I do, the pictures are blurry. The farther away from the object I am, the blurrier they get. I know how to use my camera well, I have reset the settings on the camera app, done a soft reset on the phone, cleaned the lens, everything, but the pictures are still blurry.
