I'm coming from an iPhone 4s, and I'm plugging in my 1020 into my car via usb/mini usb cord. Well as soon as I plug it in, my podcasts fire up and play automatically at random. I try to go to my podcasts or pandora and play other files and they just play on top of each other.
How can I tell where the autoplay is coming from? I HAD a podcast app, but have since deleted it thinking that could have been causing the problem. But no such luck.
How to disable the image stabilization? It's a beautiful feature that works extremely well, however I wouldn't mind disabling it for certain pictures, and definitely when recording videos!

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy car stereo is bluetooth capable for both telephone and music. The phone bonds with the car when I get in and detects the bluetooth audio player then autoplays. I'd like to choose when it plays. Having not listened to music on the phone during my journey I get out of the car and the phone detects the bluetooth is lost and plays music through the phones speakers. This means every time I get out of the car I have to get the phone out of my pocket, unlock the phone, find the media player / widget and stop the music. Could I control when media plays with bluetooth enabled stereos.

I have problem on my 1020 that I don't get almost any notification on 3g but on WiFi everything works fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the 1020. I get updates on my Facebook page from Shape magazine. It has videos on workouts. When I click on the link it says I need an app and do I want to install. I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.

I had an LG phone with 3G and got better coverage and signal bars on the 2G than I did on the 3G so I kept the phone on 2G. I don't use the internet on my Nokia ... I only use the phone for text messaging and phone calls... My 4G is only showing 2 bars on it's signal and sometimes maybe 3. I will have better signal on the 2G. How do I change the phone to use 2G.. since I do not use the internet/email or other internet services on it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
On my N8 and 808 I would just hold down the slide unlock. I did some searches but can't find out how to do it on the 1020. Do i need to get an app?

I had been listening to music on my way to work this morning, put the phone down on the table, and no more than an hour later the phone was off. I tried powering it up, but nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen, no startup vibration, etc. The phone had a full charge before work. I know if there is a batteryproblem, the phone will display a red battery picture, but this has not happened.

Pictures often look very yellow on the screen, though the same pictures look more accurate when viewed on other devices. It seems to me that a phone focused on taking pictures should have a screen that has more accurate colours.
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen I leave the phone sitting for a few minutes it drops from H+ to H meaning I can't access the internet on IE or receive Whatsapp messages. If I toggle flight mode on and off or restart the phone it works fine for maybe 10 minutes or so.
I have network selected manually, I have tried automatic selection, it makes no difference. I also have 3G set as the highest connection speed. I upgraded to WP8.1 last week but have had no issues until now.
I am at my wits end trying to work out how to back up the RAW files from the Nokia 1020 to an external hard drive.
When I use the windows phone app on my Mac computer it always converts it to a jpeg file. Even if I drag the file to the desktop.
When I copy it to iPhoto, then try and export the original Raw file it exports a jpeg. Even if I tell it to export original.
It appears that iPhoto is using the RAW file becasue there is no jpeg written at the end of the file name, plus the file looks smooth when enlarged in iPhoto
Just got my 1020 and set it up for both my Hotmail (Live) account and work (iMap). My problem is my Live account calendar shows but not my work one. As I don't use my personal calendar at all but do use my work one all the time it's a bit of a problem.how I get tit to sync to my work calendar?

And recently a small problem started occur,some times when she shall recharge the phone ( no matter if it's though the computer or wall socket ), the camera starts by it self and start taking photos.The phone continuous to take photos until we unplug the cable, it don't work that we turn of the camera app, it just start over again, and continuous to take photos.

I am hoping that we could essentially take pictures (away from our computers and cables) and just delete the photos to make room on the phones (knowing that they are safely backed up on OneDrive).

After taking my phone off the charger, I turn off Bluetooth and WiFi. I don't have glance on but I do however have all my background tasks running. I have two emails set to sync as arrive, Hotmail and outlook emails. I took my phone off the charger at 6:30 AM this morning, and when I looked at it an hour later, 7:30AM, I had 90% battery left. I have 3-5 bars of LTE and 1-4 bars of 4G everywhere I go. I do a soft reset 3-4 times a week since this is a common occurrence. I just took my Gmail email off my phone, so I'm testing to see if that was the problem. I normally get 9-11 hours of battery life, but I need to get 14-16.
How to possibly improve my battery without limiting the phone to what it's suppose to be? What I mean is, WP is based around live tiles, if I stop all the tasks, then it's just a close version of iPhone with limited apps. I don't want that. I don't like iPhone or android.
