View 1 RepliesOn May 18, 2015 I did the software update for my Lumia 1020 and now my phone seems to be experiencing a bunch of issues. Email doesn't refresh and I have to do it manually. My MS account cannot sync email nor calendar. Text messages don't send and various apps (WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) won't open. Is there any solution to this? If not, how do I roll this back?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got a Lumia 1020 and am coming from a Blackberry. The microsoft account I created will sync email automatically but the Gmail (my main/work email account) does not have the option. Right now the fastest I can get it to sync is at 15 minute intervals. I have a friend with a 920 whose Gmail will sync automatically. Is this a 1020 issue? I may have to return the phone if I can't resolve this issue.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia Lumia 1020 (obviously) and I'm trying to upload all my photos to my computer because I have a lot and I need more space on my phone. I have a refurbished HP Elitebook 8440p that runs on an Intel i7 processor and Windows 7 (Professional, I think.)
I've tried using multiple USB cables to plug my phone into the computer, and in each of the USB ports, but the computer just doesn't recognize the phone at all- I get no message telling me it's connected and when I look at the devices connected, my phone is not one of them, but my phone does say that it's charging when plugged into the computer, so the cables and USB ports are functional. I also use the cables for charging and the USB ports for flash drives, etc, so I know they all work too.
I tried downloading "Windows Phone app for desktop" from the Windows Phone website, but when I open the app and plug in my phone, it still says "plug in your phone to see what's on it."
I have hard reset my Lumia 1020 today, but after a reset and setup my Hotmail, i have a problem with contacts sync i get a error 80072f30, but my email is sync without problem
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter being a huge advocate for Windows Phone I'm just about done with it after moving from WP7.5 and Zune to WP8.I can't sync anything using Windows Media Player. I put stuff in the sync list and it looks like it syncs then I check the sync status and everything has "error" in the status and nothing has copied. Doesn't matter if it's songs I own or subscription - nothing syncs through media player. I think I did get it to sync to my wife's 620.
According to MSFT this will not let me sync Zune subscription which is another issue I have - and the biggest issue is that I can't sync playlists period. They show up with 0 songs when I sync using the Windows Phone App. But I was hoping using Media Player might solve that but it's not working.I'm using WIndows 7 on my PC. I'm a long time Zune user/promoter. Right now I can't get music on my phone in any reasonable fashion.
Had my 1020 for about 15 months and all generally works well. Lately, when in the car and an incoming text comes in, when I say "reply", it hangs up. This has not happened once, but many, many times. No change to the car and it worked pretty well until recently. I wonder if I inadvertently changed a setting to not allow for a voice command reply? I can't seem to find a setting that would affect this. By the way, I do mean replying via voice, not texting with hands while driving.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the 1020 with ATT. I use three email accounts, gmail, outlook, and Comcast imap. My Comcast account periodically deletes all emails. I've checked all settings both on the phone and with Comcast and cannot figure out why this happens. It has nothing to do with the age of the messages. It deletes old and new messages. I believe it is a Win 8 issue because I see the same problem on my Surface RT and Pro. I have not had this problem on non-Win 8 devices.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy brother sent me a short 20 second video from his iphone last night he shot of his son and I want to save it to the phone, but so far no luck, any way to work around this or any apps that can doing this, or is this an issue that is hopefully going to be fixed in 8.1?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMaybe I'm missing something obvious, but before 8.1 I could click on 'share this song' while listening to a track, and I could send it by email.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSeems like it should be a simple task, but is a hoop jumping nightmare on the 1020. I simply want to email a photo to my printer (Epson Artisan 730), which only prints pdf attachments (jpgs do not print with epson email connect). I've downloaded several apps that promise to be able to create a pdf from a jpg image file and then mail it, but none seem to deliver on that promise.
EDIT: Now have jpeg printing working via email. Problem was paper source and size. Unfortunately can only use 4x6 default size for photos. Still need pdf printing from the main paper cassette to get larger prints.
I have recorded some audio files with Mini Recorder Free but I am unable to send them by e-mail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI understand from the User Guide that Microsoft Office Mobile should give access to Word, Excel etc. However when I try to sign in it does not accept my email address/password combination. When I obtained my first 1026, in Jan 2014 I have a recollection that access was readily available but have not used it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have received a video clip via email. I can watch the clip when I downloaded it right inside my email folder. The thing is it has no option to save it & I can't find this clip anywhere in the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a lumis 1020, I have 3 email accounts, gmail, outlook and live. When i was on w8.1 i had 3 seperate tiles for email. now I have upgraded to w10, I only have one tile and have to manually switch accounts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe notification sound (when an email/sms/calendar pushes) during a call is so annoying and uncomfortable (there will be a weird sound in the earphone and then the normal notification sound, too distracting). Is it possible to disable that weird sound?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got my company (exchange) email set to sync every 15 minutes. It only does so occasionally. Last night it didn't sync for 6 hours, this morning it was 51 minutes. It didn't always work when I had it set on "as items arrive" either. My Live and Gmail accounts seem to work just fine on the 15 minute setting.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm a new user coming from an iphone to a windows phone Nokia 1520 on my Iphone I could chose to not delete email on the server when syncing I can't seem to do this with the windows email app. I want to be able to read my email on my phone when out of the office but do the permanent download from the server on my office PC ....same with my home email. We don't use exchange at work. If I sync with my phone and then delete the email from my phone it deletes it off the server.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere seem to be no functionality to schedule the e-mail sync to be turned off at night, like you could with the old Symbian phones, for example between 23:00 and 7:00, or in weekends.
On the Lumia, you have to turn it off manually every night, alternatively turn off the sound every night. An effect of this is that the phone consumes so much battery at night that the alarm clock in the morning seldom works, as the battery is empty.
as the title says, i have this issue where i cannot manually sync email, HOWEVWE everything works normal as it should. Push mail, contact sync, everything else is not a problem. The prob is basically manual sync, and on top of the email app, it says that the last time it was updated was 2 months ago (this is when it first started, i installed cyan using nokia recovery tool)
I have turned off message backup, tried to find verification email, no solution.
Intermittent error msg and failure to sync on set schedule. Sync also seems to take forever.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the 1020. I get updates on my Facebook page from Shape magazine. It has videos on workouts. When I click on the link it says I need an app and do I want to install. I hit yes and says no app available and takes me back to the post. When I install the App from the app store, it's free, it appears to install, but cant access it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI wonder if there is an app similar to "No screen off" (Android) that allows to suspend the automatic screen off, then reactivate it with the previously memorized delay.
Click on the widget to toggle between the two modes, to change the screen timeout.
I just want to know if the OIS is working by looking at the camera.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 1020 has become quite sluggish of late so I've decided I'm going to do a hard reset at the very least.I bought the device (yellow AU CV) whilst on holiday in Australia, but I'm now back in the UK, so I thought as I'm going to wipe it anyway, I might as well reflash it to the CV UK ROM, especially as Australia appear to be massively stalling on Denim as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLately, I've been getting a fair number of corrupted DNG files in my Lumia 1020 - I mean, I guess they're corrupted, since when I import them to Lightroom, the program states it can't open or edit them.
Curiously, the 5 mpx are fine.. When I check the size of the DNGs, I can see that they have, exactly, 1 byte less, in size, than the DNGs that Lightroom can edit.
