I've got my company (exchange) email set to sync every 15 minutes. It only does so occasionally. Last night it didn't sync for 6 hours, this morning it was 51 minutes. It didn't always work when I had it set on "as items arrive" either. My Live and Gmail accounts seem to work just fine on the 15 minute setting.

So far, I'm enjoying it a lot, aside from the fact I can't get my gmail contacts to sync. I've been googling and searching this forum for an answer and it appears I'm doing everything right, they just don't sync. I've deleted and re-added the account, with a restart in the middle.. nothing. I've changed the cardDAV server to m.google.com and Google and nothing. Any way besides a hard reset? It's pretty frustrating not having most of my contacts.

My main question at this point is the ability to automatically sync pictures to my desktop. My last phone was a Motorola Razr Maxx which automatically downloaded all photos I took to my desktop as soon as it connected to my wifi. Is there an option similar with the WP8? I have Google Drive and just set up One Drive but I would rather have it hit my wifi to copy files down locally. I know I can do it manually but I like not having to worry about it.
I have the icon and have experienced the GPS freezing up on me during a trip. This has happened both with here drive and waze.
Once it happened not five minutes into the trip, the other times were over an hour in. How to correct it?
How do I shut down the here drive app? I am shutting off my location to close it noe, but I know there has to be another way...

It is draining my battery and data by constantly searching or trying to sync. I have done "soft" resets and a full blown reset to factory settings.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently Google Sync was shut down, I followed the steps suggested by Google and went to my Blackberry Internet Service webpage. My service is with Optus in Australia. I opened the email account that I wanted to edit and checked the boxes for syncing of Calendar and Contacts, clicked save and then a message appeared on the page saying I should go to email setup on my phone and complete the security activation. When I did that I found that the email setup icon was not active
I then called Optus Tech support and was put through to a centre in Manila, they really had no idea what I was talking about and used a stock answer that it was a Google/Gmail issue. While I had them on the line I set up a new email account with Outlook.com, when I tried to sync calendar and contacts the same issue arose.
When I bought this phone I had to use the BIS to set up my email accounts, the setup email icon did not work then either but I was told by Optus that was normal and all setup should be done using BIS.
I no longer have calendar syncing which is quite important for my work.
I did try a suggestion from the forum by logging in to mobile.blackberry.com - communicate - email and editing from there but there is no option shown there for calendar and contacts, the only option is for syncing deleted messages.
I updated to Denim and 8.1 last night. My outlook.com email stopped syncing today at 2:00pm.
Error code: 8600010F for server bay402-m.hotmail.com.
I've got a weird issue here. Sometimes when I send or receive a call, the person on the other line cannot hear me. The microphone just does not work. I have to switch to speaker phone before I am able to talk. The problem is very random so I haven't been able to determine if it's a software or hardware problem.

I installed skype and when trying to make International Voice calls, all I see the blue backgroud with Skype call outgoing icon and then nothing happens. Sometimes, the call gets active as in it shows the seconds counter of the call,but nobody can here anything on either side of the call. I do have some credit balance in my Skype account.
I tried re-installing the app but to no avail.
Previously, I had an Android device and when I tried to make same International mobile calls now in it, I am able to connect and talk without any issues. I also chatted with an Skype support team and they also couldn't get much. Also, I lost the function to hold my finger on the screen to move the cursor around in text. So I can't edit messages very easily. I was hoping these were issues with the DP version and Denim would resolve the problems. But I loaded the upgrade this morning, and none of these issues are resolved. I still can't use the camera button. And I still get hold my finger on the screen to get a cursor.

We don't use exchange at work. If I sync with my phone and then delete the email from my phone it deletes it off the server.

On the Lumia, you have to turn it off manually every night, alternatively turn off the sound every night. An effect of this is that the phone consumes so much battery at night that the alarm clock in the morning seldom works, as the battery is empty.

Few times it got restarted automatically [not frequently though, may be once in a week or so], and from then onward the time reverted back to the old time which was set as manually. If it set to update automatically, time sync is not happening at all.
as the title says, i have this issue where i cannot manually sync email, HOWEVWE everything works normal as it should. Push mail, contact sync,everything else is not a problem. The prob is basically manual sync, and on top of the email app, it says that the last time it was updated was 2 months ago (this is when it first started, i installed cyan using nokia recovery tool)
