Nokia Nseries :: N8 Mail For Exchange Sync Stopped Working?
Jun 2, 2011Device: Nokia N8-00 Carrier: Three UKI have been using Mail for Exchange to sync my calendar and contacts between my N8 and by google apps account for several months. It stopped working last week, and I have been unable to fix it. The log just says "sync died (11)" but I have not been able to find out what that means.

Feb 12, 2012Since upgrading to ICS, my phone will not sync with the Exchange Server.I've reformated the SD card & done the SW repair proceedure on the phone.I've deleted the phone profile on the Exchange server - so Exchange can detect and reload the profile anew The mail client doesn't show any email, but rather endlessly reports that it is syncing.The phone contacts do not sync with the server.

I have no such icon on my S6, so must wait for the next scheduled sync, I set it to 15 minutes. Jul 18, 2010E72 MfE sync problems after latest firmware, just wanted to add detail from admin_log1.txt (Nokia?) troubleshoot.Problem started as soon as I took latest firmware 031.023. Formatted memory card, *#7370# hard reset, reinstall f/w and still MfE fails to sync. Via a Blackberry and IPhone sync works fine, via phone browser to Outlook OWA access works fine too, so I'm assuming Activesync is fine server-side but something broken in new build.

Sep 6, 2010My mail for exchange has locked up. The little wheel icon spins but it does not update. I normally just find the "full resync" option that deletes the content and then resyncs. This generally fixes any glitch. I did a software update last week and I have spent about 3 hours trying to find it. My software version is 211.12.01 date 31-03-01 custom version 211.12.01.204.04 date 26-08-10 I got this from *#0000#Can anyone tell me the how to access the full resync and if as I have heard rumoured it is no longer available how do you now achieve a resync?

I tried to mark all as unread and then mark them back as read to solve the problem but it doesn't work. The Mail for Exchange reports that it has no new email i.e.

But when I get through the email set-up wizzard I get to the section Mailbox type and I am only given the options of POP3 or IMAP4....and not Mail for Exchange which is what I need. Apr 27, 2010After a few days of excellent operation suddenly my E72 won't send e-mails through MfE any more. The emails just sit there in the outbox. Sometimes they get sent after several hours. I hit the send/receive button, it syncs but the emails don't get sent. I tried switching off/on the phone. I tried deleting the account and putting it back in. Sometimes I can send 1 e-mail after restart but then it stops. I receive e-mails with delay sometimes, even though I have sync schedule set to always on. My iPhone syncs with the same account and it works perfect. I tried in 2 different WLAN-nets with different ISP's and I tried over 3G. No difference. My network provider is Telenor Sweden.

Apr 28, 2014This is probably a configuration issue on my end that I cannot figure out the answer to....but when I am out of WiFi range, or I turn WiFi off my email wont sync or send and I get the error "Network Not Available: The message will be sent when the network is available" As soon as I turn wifi back on , it's fine. Is their a setting that tells an email account to only sync on WiFi? Or only send when on Wifi? It seems to ignore the 4G LTE network.

I have go to through the process of 'Manage Accounts, select account, Sync Settings, and check the 'Sync Email' box every time. Then it syncs, I read my email, exit the app, and I start the process over again the next time I open the app.
