IPhone :: Exchange Mail Not Working After IOS4 Upgrade
Jun 22, 2010
My exchange email worked just find with previous OS, not with both my Iphone and Itouch 3rd Gen Exchange email does not show anything other than folders, i have tried deleting account and re adding and restoring new phone or itouch factory settings with no luck.
I am not sure this is the right place to ask on GM iOS4, I would like to upgrade Gold Master iOS4 to mine 3GS right now and when it released the official firmware for public on 21st June, would I have any problem to upgrade from GM version?
Was just wondering what the best way to upgrade from the iOS4 GM to the official iOS4 release. Would I be better off doing a backup of my iOS4, restoring my iPhone to iPhone OS 3 and then going back to the official iOS4 or do you think we will be able to straight from the GM to the official version of iOS 4. Or is the iOS4 GM identical to the official iOS 4 release?
OVI prompted me to download an app to improve mail for exchange display from 'text' display but now with my emails I get a message saying "Security policy that allows downloading HTML messages is disabled" but I cannot find a way to enable for HTML.
I have just changed my phone to the E71 and trying to get the exchange sync to work on mail for exchange. With ssl enabled i get the error "your account does not have the permission to sync with current settings" If i disable ssl both on the phone and the exchange server everything syncs and works correctly.
With ssl enabled if i browse from the e71 to our owa site this connects with ssl with no problem. So it seemss to be an issue the way MFE handles ssl. The certificate in question is a standard one and is already installed on the handset it is issued by "Equifax Secure Global eBusiness CA-1" I am using MFE 2.5.5
We have bought some Nokia E71 phones and have installed the Nokia Mail for Exchange from Nokia web and configured this to synch mail and calendar items from our Exchange 2007 server, but after 1-2 weeks it stops working; either only mail is replicated, only calendar is replicated or nothing at all.
I have them tried the following:
- Same usedID on a completely new E71
- Downloaded the newest sw via Nokia Software updater. Same version as already on phone, but installed anyway
I bought the Nokia E52 on 14 september and took me a while to configure the MfE but it finally worked! Everything syncs fine just how I want it but after a month it doesn't get the mails anymore. My other mailboxes (non-exchange like hotmail and other POP adresses) are still working fine and I'm getting those mails on my phone.Even sending a mail from my exchange mail doesn't work. The weird part is when I choose for a manual "Send a Receive" I don't even get an error message or something similar.
I wrote a testmail which is still in the Outbox and doesn't seem to want to get out of there..
I have a 16gb Iphone 3g.I went to radio shack and the guy told me that I shouldnt get the update. He said my phone will run CRAZY slow.Is this true?I dont plan to get the os4 gm out now but the one apple releases on monday.Should I do it?Also, my provider is AT&T, I thought about jail breaking the phone but everyone seems to say not to since well, I have at&t. Would you guys do it?
I have a problem starting the Exchange ActiveSync on my E-7. I tried many times but it can not synchronise the mails from my Microsoft Outlook, can not send or recieve mails or says " cannot connect to the server ,check connection settings ". I made it working on my N95,it took me less then 5 min,and it works fine but not on E7.
Device: Nokia N8-00 Carrier: Three UKI have been using Mail for Exchange to sync my calendar and contacts between my N8 and by google apps account for several months. It stopped working last week, and I have been unable to fix it. The log just says "sync died (11)" but I have not been able to find out what that means.
I am currently using iphone 3G with 3.1.3 version.I downloaded itunes 9.2 and iOS4. When i go to update it in itunes, it asks for me to backup my data, and i want to then the bar for backing up comes up.really slowly. Then suddenly it shoots to like 99%, then a few minutes and it says that it cannot connect to the server and then the backup is aborted. What should i do?
I have a 32G running V. 3.0 and I want upgrade to IOS 4. (1) Can I go from 3.0 straight to 4? (2) I have read serveral post and in these post I have read were they upgraded and they lost their pictures and data. In the same post I read were another person upgraded and did not lose any pictures or data. I also read on Apple's web site about upgrading and no place did I read any warning about losing any information.
Another thing I find strange is that these poster's are upgrading the same apple phone but yet they are doing different procedures. At the present my phone works great with no problems, I just don't want screw it up!
I am running iOS4 on a 3GS. I noticed a strange issue after updating to iOS4. I have three mail accounts: gmail, hotmail, and exchange. When I tap the mail icon from the home screen, it takes me straight into my gmail inbox instead of taking me to the mailboxes page (where the unified inboxes are as well as the separate accounts). I have to tap on my gmail address on the top left hand side to get back to the mailboxes page (the one it was supposed to take me to first).
I know when you upgrade to iOS4 it updates the carrier file to AT&T 7.0. Being on 7.0 doesn't allow me to input my own Cellular Data Network settings. Is there another IPCC for at&t that will work on iOS4 and allow me to input my own cellular data network settings? Something to like the pictures I've posted.
So upgrade her iPhone 3G to iOS4 however in the final reboot stage it will start the reboot process but then stop half way though and start all over again. I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this issue as I feel responsible to get it fixed ASAP.
Any one else having issues with push notifications not working on their 3GS running os4? Any find this issue on iPhone 4? I've tried restoring the os, deleting and restoring the mail account.... Nothing....
I'm trying to create a new profile for my Mail for Exchange mailbox type and after inputing exchange server name, domain, user name, password, etc, the phone is trying to retrieve Exchange server name and its been going on for a few mins with no results - total hanging!I think I'm destryoing my mobile by the minute...
When I try a manual sync of mail for exchange 2.5.5 (or 2.5.3) on a Nokia 6124 I get the following error: System Error. Try again later
Here is the contents of the admin log generated on the phone:

I have another nokia phone (E50) which synchronises with the same server and account using the same sim card so I know the problem is not at the exchange end.

I have AT&T and my data has not been working since I upgraded to iOS 4 yesterday. MMS, Internet, etc doesn't work. I have called AT&T and they don't know why and can't offer any solution. Anyone else having this problem?
I have tried restoring my phone, resetting the network settings, and AT&T tried unregistering and re-registering my phone but still no data.
I also had this problem since I upgraded my 3GS on Thursday. I did a full restore from a backup, and my internet still wasn't working. Like others, my WiFi was working though. From information I gleaned, it's either corrupt APN settings, or I think in my case (I checked and my APN settings were blank), that updating it just deleted them altogether.
On your phone tap Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network.
If it's all blank like mine, you need to find out your carriers APN settings and input them. Restart the phone, and it should work.
