So upgrade her iPhone 3G to iOS4 however in the final reboot stage it will start the reboot process but then stop half way though and start all over again. I was wondering if anyone can help me fix this issue as I feel responsible to get it fixed ASAP.

View 17 Replies View RelatedI started the iOS4 update process and have been staring at a Backup progress bar that's hasn't gotten to 5% in the last 20 minutes. I'm getting a little anxious about having my phone out of commission (and being unreachable) for more then an hour in the middle of my day.
If I stop the backup, I'm afraid it'll just start updating the phone - which is fine, but I wanted a complete backup of iOS3 just in case..Will a call come through the backup process? (I'm hearing email "bings" and such) In which case I'll just let it go.If I stop the process, do I have to complete the update or does it cancel?

When i go to update it in itunes, it asks for me to backup my data, and i want to then the bar for backing up comes up.really slowly. (1) Can I go from 3.0 straight to 4?
(2) I have read serveral post and in these post I have read were they upgraded and they lost their pictures and data. In the same post I read were another person upgraded and did not lose any pictures or data. I also read on Apple's web site about upgrading and no place did I read any warning about losing any information.
Another thing I find strange is that these poster's are upgrading the same apple phone but yet they are doing different procedures. At the present my phone works great with no problems, I just don't want screw it up!

I mistakenly tried to do migration from my windows pc to my new Macbk air without first setting up mac. Suspecting task not rightly done (no pop up window to ask which files etc to transfer), I cancelled while it was transferring. Now my mac is doing the 'cleaning' process but has not stopped for over 12 hours. What shall I do? Can I restart mac and stop the cleaning process?

I know when you upgrade to iOS4 it updates the carrier file to AT&T 7.0. Being on 7.0 doesn't allow me to input my own Cellular Data Network settings. Is there another IPCC for at&t that will work on iOS4 and allow me to input my own cellular data network settings? Something to like the pictures I've posted.

Has anyone else had this problem? In the description t said something cryptic about a future stable 4.0 release. I upgraded anyway (3gs 3.1.2 blackra1n) and now its not working. The options are still in the settings app, but i cant reply from the lock screen, and when i get sms/mms from any app or home
screen, there is no "reply" button like usual, just view and close (like before i had quickreply sms).
Anyone else having this problem as well? And is there any way to downgrade it to an older ver so i can get it working again? I tried reinstalling it 3 times (officially purchesed)
I didn't want to upgrade from OS 5.01 TO 5.1,how do I stop the installation of the firmware upgrade after the software download has started and is almost completed, as soon as my wi-fi is re-connected the download resumes then wants to install? How can I stop this before it install automatically?

I am not real sure about the exact os number I am using but I do know its 5.0 something. I cant get to about screen fast enough to let you know. But anyway it is in a reboot cycle and will not stop. This worked great for 3 or 4 months then all of a sudden when I woke up this morning it is in a constant reboot. I have tried the tutorial blog on how to recover but it is not working. Anyone have a recomendation for me. or point me to another option to fix this?

But when I do, I have to use it non stop doing whatever for about 3 hours or so, not being able to leave it alone because if I do, even for a minute it will freeze all over again and the process will start over.But also, sometimes when I reboot it, it doesn't being to reboot. It just stays with the screen shut off and eventually the little red light would turn on and off but nothing else will happen. I left it in that state for about 10 hours and nothing.Right now it has been frozen for almost an hour, Ive had to reboot it about 25times today and I´m beginning to give up and getting scared for my phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded two application upgrades on my Curve and after the second upgrade I selected reboot now so as to install the applications. The BB begins the update process but upon reaching the 2/3 mark it wont move any futher, it has remained that way for an hour (black screen with BB logo and name and below the progress bar). Despite me taking out the battery and letting it restart a fresh it doesn't get beyond that same point.
