I try to upgrade my blackberry messanger but it stop in b/w the processing and after it my bbm icon is disappear. I try everything to get it back but I can't. I don't activate my bis subscription. Any way for get back my bbm icon without using blackberry internet plan. My hendheld: curve 8520

When I was trying to update the OS the power went down so the process is incomplete.
And now all I have is blackberry and the straight loading bar is full until the right side of the screen but that's it. doesn't move either.
After completing Version 5 upgrade, I don't have an icon on my home screen to send or receive e-mail.
I went into setup and my email account was already there. I ended up deleting it and adding it again. When I did this, I got a messge that a "new icon for this mailbox has been added to the home screen." Went to look and it's still not there. Took out the battery and rebooted. Still not there.
Finally discovered that I could get to my email but accessing SMS/MMS (texting) icon. I sent an e-mail to someone and all my received e-mail that I haven't been able to access was there. This is very cumbersome way of getting to my email and obviously not the way it's suppose to work.
How do I get my email icon added to my home screen?
My Curve 8520 gets stuck about 60% through the rebooting process! I have removed the batterty about 20 times and it still just reboots up to about 60% and get stuck there.There is no error messages, I have connect it to the pc, its being picked up but doesn't allow you to actually get any info on my phone.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just got my blackberry a few days back on a plan with vigin media with unlimited internet it was working fine until a few days back where whenever i clicked the browser it would say "there is insufficient network coverage to process your request. please try again." i do not understand why this is happening as it was working a few days back i have tried a few battery pulls but it has still not worked for me. I have even switched my phone on and off and turned all connections of and restored them. I really do not know what to do as i can know longer browse the web or recieve emails. In the top right corner it says "gprs" and even when i have full bars the connection does not work. I have called customer services and they have failed to help me so far any help appreciated..

So I started the download and when it was about halfway it stopped and would not continue. After a long time I gave up and tried reconnecting the device to my PC and the PC said it did not recognize my BB. View 5 Replies View RelatedIt's been happening since this today, when I receive a SMS or email the phone rings/vibrates and everything, then when I go to to the SMS&MMS or email icon nothing new is there. Earlier this morning everything was fine, I was sending/receiving texts without any problem. Then I connected my bb to my computer and opened desktop manager, received a SMS while it was plugged in, I tried reading it and saw nothing. That's exactly when I started having this issue. The only unusual thing was that I was running warcraft 3 at the same time but that has nothing to do with the bb. I already tried turning off the phone then turning it back on, did a battery pull using quickpull, did a battery pull physically and it's still the same.

I restored the .ipd file into my Black berry using Desktop Manager.The software shows 784 contacts and that is same as it was in my E 90.
However when I select contacts in my Blackberry I dont see them. However Desktop manager shows 784 contacts.Please tell how do I see these contacts in my Black berry.
This phone was pasted down to me December last year. Everything was working perfectly until last week. I cant call or text nor can i receive calls or texts. It keeps saying Authorization failure. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a bb curve 8520 on orange, im from the uk and have virgin broadband. i have a dlink wirles router. i can connect to it no problem and get the wifi emblem in white and black showing its connected, i also have my routers name come up so its definatly connected. i have litteraly no signal in my house, either 1 bar or sos, sometimes i will get uma signal, sometimes not, my gf has the same contract and phone as i do, both are orange branded phones and she gets uma signal almost instantly as she steps into the house. why do i not get uma, are my settigns not configured properly? as i really cant send or recieve calls and messages.

Well the new ringtone she set for that profile, is not showing up for all contacts. It is still showing old ringtone! I tried switching but still stays the same. Only way to change is by individualy contacts.
