Aug 28, 2012For the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing problems that I can reply to an email, the send button is then available, but when I compose an email there is no send button. When I open a new page in my internet browser, it doesn't display it properly. After numerous phone calls to my service provider and getting new service books the problem is still not resolved. They now suggested that I upgrade my software.

I then received conflicting messages saying 1) that the download failed (error 907 wrong COD) and followed by 2) Download successful, hold down the esc key to return to home screen. May 13, 2011After completing Version 5 upgrade, I don't have an icon on my home screen to send or receive e-mail.
I went into setup and my email account was already there. I ended up deleting it and adding it again. When I did this, I got a messge that a "new icon for this mailbox has been added to the home screen." Went to look and it's still not there. Took out the battery and rebooted. Still not there.
Finally discovered that I could get to my email but accessing SMS/MMS (texting) icon. I sent an e-mail to someone and all my received e-mail that I haven't been able to access was there. This is very cumbersome way of getting to my email and obviously not the way it's suppose to work.
How do I get my email icon added to my home screen?

Jul 27, 2012I was doing a reboot on my blackberry, as it was booting, at about 70% it just stops. I tried to connect it to the BB desktop manager so that I can try to update the device software, but it only connects to my pc when the battery is removed, when I put the battery back in, it disconnects then switches itself on, loads up till about 70%, then stops. I even tried leaving it the entire night with hope that it will get through that stage, but it still wont budge. I tried downgrading the OS to v4.6.1 but the phone doesn't switch on at all. So I upgraded back to v5.0.0 and it still gives me the same problem.

Regardless of whether I add someone else's pin or they try adding mine, the contact is always under pending. Also if I try sending a message to a pin on BBM it does not send, I just get the red cross. So yeah basically I can't add or recieve requests for contacts and I can't send messages either.

The touchpad in the middle of the phone is not allowing me to move it to other icon's, so it is stuck on the Envelope (e-mail) folder and will only open the last e-mail. Jun 20, 2011I am also not able to check in on facebook places. This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.
