my blackberry curve 8520's Touchpad will not move around the screen but will click. My problem is in all the rest of the forums they say that you need to unscrew the back of the pad but I can't as the screws on the back are all worn, had it quite a while you see.

I have read some of the other posts related to this issue and I seem to be running into a wall. I just bought a "new" unlocked curve from amazon. I get it and the track pad doesn't scroll. I can still use it to click on an icon but I just can move it. I work in Afghanistan and I can't mail stuff outta the base i work at. Oh and i put "new" in quotes for the fact that when i started it up I got a Tmobile message.

I had my phone in my pocket today for about 30 minutes and when I went to take it out none of the buttons were responsive the only thing that worked was the track pad. I tried pulling the battery and restarting but still the same outcome only the trackpad was functional. I have the blackberry 8530.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got the 8350 curve 3 days ago.. Now my Track ball wont work at all.Today I did drop it but it was working just fine. Then I downloaded a game and a theme.. about 30 mins after the theme it started not to work.The only thing I can do is take a picture.The track ball wont move at all. Left or right. It will take a picture.Is there anything I can do? Please help me if you can.I cant even dial my phone. when i type a name in it wont let me scrool down to the number I need.is there a way to dete the stuff? Or fix the trackball?

Regardless of whether I add someone else's pin or they try adding mine, the contact is always under pending. Also if I try sending a message to a pin on BBM it does not send, I just get the red cross. So yeah basically I can't add or recieve requests for contacts and I can't send messages either.

The touchpad in the middle of the phone is not allowing me to move it to other icon's, so it is stuck on the Envelope (e-mail) folder and will only open the last e-mail. It will not allow me to view, send or receive anything else Have tried cleaning it as per the view someone kindly posted me, but no luck. I have tried rebooting and also removing battery, but again, no luck! don't really want to have to go out and buy a new BB as I only got this one in January!!

This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.

My three computers have connected to the Hub with no problem, two hard wired a the laptop using the wireless side of the Hub. My granddaughter cannot connected to the VMD G280 Hub with her Blackberry 8520 phone, we have tried several ways but the phone shows its connected but nothing happens. I changed the Track Pad and It doesn't worked. I think that maybe the problem is in the main board, I don't know.... Is there another way to move through the menu without using the trak Pad? The wifi on my blackberry curve 8520 doesn't work any more. It says it's connected, but I can't go online. I have send it to t-mobile, they send it to blackberry , multiple times, but they can't fix it. Now they say that blackberry blocked wifi and you can only go online when you pay for it. View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a curve 8520. when she tries to use the browser to sign in to yahoo email she fills in her userid and password but the sign in button dosn't work, nothing happens when she clicks it does she have to enable something in the browser configuration? she doesn't have a Blackberry data plan as yet so we realise she can't use BBM or facebook app etc but I would have thought the browser should work as she has an internet plan.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBlackberry 8530, email enterprise activation won't work. I've discussed the problem with both Sprint and our IT department at work without resolving the issue. Both say it should be working. Sprint's latest suggestion is to exchange the phone for a new one. (Which would be my third phone in a week since first getting the 8520) It retries, then occasionally the screen pops up to say the enterprise server hasn't responded with the options to continue or cancel. I'll be heading to the Sprint store this afternoon to either exchange the device or get something completely different.
