my blackberry curve 8520's Touchpad will not move around the screen but will click. My problem is in all the rest of the forums they say that you need to unscrew the back of the pad but I can't as the screws on the back are all worn, had it quite a while you see.
I have read some of the other posts related to this issue and I seem to be running into a wall. I just bought a "new" unlocked curve from amazon. I get it and the track pad doesn't scroll. I can still use it to click on an icon but I just can move it. I work in Afghanistan and I can't mail stuff outta the base i work at. Oh and i put "new" in quotes for the fact that when i started it up I got a Tmobile message.
Was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it. I had my phone in my pocket today for about 30 minutes and when I went to take it out none of the buttons were responsive the only thing that worked was the track pad. I tried pulling the battery and restarting but still the same outcome only the trackpad was functional. I have the blackberry 8530.
so i have a bb curve 9300 and the track pad wont click or scroll, i updated the software and it began to work again for a day however, its not broken again ?

I just got a new Blackberry Curve 8520 a couple of weeks ago and blackberry messenger has never worked. Regardless of whether I add someone else's pin or they try adding mine, the contact is always under pending. Also if I try sending a message to a pin on BBM it does not send, I just get the red cross. So yeah basically I can't add or recieve requests for contacts and I can't send messages either.
I got a samsung galaxy ace and i decided that I should switch to a blackberry. So i took my Mum's blackberry curve and switched the Sim's around. Everything is fine except i Can't Facebook bbm or anything else outside my Wifi.
I am using a Blackberry Curve 8520 phone. I can send-receive phone calls, i can send-receive SMS messages and I can surf the internet. However, I cannot find an option to configure the Email I only get the option of The Blackberry Enterprise Office setup. My provider is in Spain and is called www.HITSMOBILE.ES.I contacted them and they said it was an issue with Blackberry not them!I cannot configure the email setup, that i can receive Blackberry Update email messages only!
Every keys of my curve 8520 don't work. I have tried many times to remove the battery but it is always the same, the phone start and ask my PIN but i can't log in because all the keys don't work! Even those witch are above. I have tried the safe mode but it doesn't work (because i think the key don't work)...
I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 and the trackpad won't work. I can select the item it is on and I can access the menu but other than that, I can't do anything else due to the fact that the trackpad doesn't work
I am having a problem with my BB 8520. The touchpad in the middle of the phone is not allowing me to move it to other icon's, so it is stuck on the Envelope (e-mail) folder and will only open the last e-mail. It will not allow me to view, send or receive anything else Have tried cleaning it as per the view someone kindly posted me, but no luck. I have tried rebooting and also removing battery, but again, no luck! don't really want to have to go out and buy a new BB as I only got this one in January!!
I've had my phone for about a month now and my "P" button is... Having some problems. It still works but its hard as rock to the touch. It doesn't click down like the rest of the buttons. I have a few scratches on the phone on the back piece and such. So does RIM cover this? I'm going to call tomorrow I was just wondering if anyones had any hardware problems and was able to get new phone sucessfully.
Checked properties and it says unavailable. Just a black screen with sprint logo appears.Any clue how to update this app?Is there a better app out there for tv?
I've had my 8520 for quite a while now and only just started trying to use BBM although people don't recieve my requests and I don;t receive theres. I have internet, both WiFi and pay monthly. So I was wondering if I have to set it up somehow?
I am also not able to check in on facebook places. This is a work phone and my colleague who has exactly the same Curve 8520 IS able to check in on facebook places with no problem at all. I do not believe that this is a "GPS" issue. I paired my husbands Torch 9800 to my curve via bluetooth and it now allows me to set location setting to the ON position but still am not able to check in.
I have just set up a new netgear Virgin Media VMD G280 Hub for their 20mg broad band service. My three computers have connected to the Hub with no problem, two hard wired a the laptop using the wireless side of the Hub. My granddaughter cannot connected to the VMD G280 Hub with her Blackberry 8520 phone, we have tried several ways but the phone shows its connected but nothing happens. She had no trouble connecting to the Netgear Wireless G router WGR 614 that the hub replaced so has anyone got any Ideas of whats wrong?
I have the Blackberry curve 8520,Its all set up with the internet package, has been for 2 months. I topped up,the £5 has come out but the internet wont work?
The track Pad of my BB bold 9700 doesn't work. I can click but I can't move the cursor. I just can see the first option in the menu but I can't move to another options. I changed the Track Pad and It doesn't worked. I think that maybe the problem is in the main board, I don't know.... Is there another way to move through the menu without using the trak Pad? I have tried taking the battery and sim card out and pressing metal plate.
Okay, so my brother got the new BlackBerry Storm and gave me his old BlackBerry Curve 8520 and I can't get the BlackBerry Messenger to work. I can't add contacts on it, and when people try to add me I don't get a notification. My web browser also doesn't work, even though I'm connected to a wireless internet.
Off topic, but how do I send stuff from my computer to my BB, by bluetooth, or is there a wire?
attempting to setup my email on my replacement Curve 8520 after the track pad ceased working.Problem is, I only get one option: "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server"This being my third Curve 8520 in less than two years, the first two rebelling with track pad failures, Android's sounding better and better.
The wifi on my blackberry curve 8520 doesn't work any more. It says it's connected, but I can't go online. I have send it to t-mobile, they send it to blackberry , multiple times, but they can't fix it. Now they say that blackberry blocked wifi and you can only go online when you pay for it. Is this true??
Yesterday the keyboard started to do strange things: when I'm writing text messages it skips some letters it starts automatically to cancel all I have wrote without I have pushed "del"sometimes it automatically locks and no one key can remove the lockI already tried to remove and replace the battery but the problem still remain.
My wife has a curve 8520. when she tries to use the browser to sign in to yahoo email she fills in her userid and password but the sign in button dosn't work, nothing happens when she clicks it does she have to enable something in the browser configuration? she doesn't have a Blackberry data plan as yet so we realise she can't use BBM or facebook app etc but I would have thought the browser should work as she has an internet plan.
Blackberry 8530, email enterprise activation won't work. I've discussed the problem with both Sprint and our IT department at work without resolving the issue. Both say it should be working. Sprint's latest suggestion is to exchange the phone for a new one. (Which would be my third phone in a week since first getting the 8520) It retries, then occasionally the screen pops up to say the enterprise server hasn't responded with the options to continue or cancel. I'll be heading to the Sprint store this afternoon to either exchange the device or get something completely different.
