My Keypad & Tracker button wont work on my 8520 i have had it 2 weeks and its not under wornty, i would like to try fix it.
It is NOT WATER DAMAGED I Don't know whats up with it but its really getting me mad
My 'e' button on the keypad stopped working, I've taken my phone apart and replaced the keypad, but I'm still locked out, I can't access my phone

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife has a curve 8520. when she tries to use the browser to sign in to yahoo email she fills in her userid and password but the sign in button dosn't work, nothing happens when she clicks it does she have to enable something in the browser configuration? she doesn't have a Blackberry data plan as yet so we realise she can't use BBM or facebook app etc but I would have thought the browser should work as she has an internet plan.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy daughter dropped her blackberry curve 8520 and now the keypad buttons don't work, everything seems ok with the phone as it boots up ok and she can move the cursor ok but can't click on anything and none of the buttons do anything. If you call the phone it rings but she can't answer a call etc. I have restored the phone to factory settings and reinstalled her own backed up data but it is still the same ..
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe only way to turn on the keypad is in the TEST of Hardware, if you go to the Next Step it turns off again. What I did was Turning on the Backlight Keypad in Test and then pressed CHANGE APLICATION (Something Like that I have it in Spanish) and then the Lights Keep up all the time. But if I go to the Music Player and I use "MUTE KEY" the Backlight Keypad turns off. (ONLY WHEN I PRESS MUTE ON THE MUSIC PLAYER)

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife has just started using a Curve 8520 and has had it for less than 1 month. In the past few days, they phone has started unlocking itself randomly. She's using the 'A' button to lock the keypad at which point the screen goes off (as I believe it should) and then after a minute or so, it unlocks itself and the screen comes back on.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm using a curve 8520 on 0S5.My letter 'A' in the keyboard suddenly won't work properly.. Just a soft touch and it would appear automatically... in Uppercase. Because of this, i am having a hard time when typing. i copy paste the lower case 'a' so typing would be easy.Also, since the 'lock' is also in that key, my phone would always lock automatically and with that... my phone seems to go 'off' and i would have to longpress any key so it would come alive again.i tried the application clean-up thing in the desktop manager as @BlackberryHelp tweeted me when i asked them about this but still there are no changes.. i also tried putting a tissue in the back of the metal plate thing.

Yesterday i installed the latest firmware from the Nokia website for the N73 on my phone and i just installed Sports Tracker 2.06 on the phone but it does NOT start. Same issue as the other people had in 2009. Is this a new problem now or did Nokia did not learn from its mistakes / failures?!
Info of my N73: Firmware version: 4.0839.42.2.1 Sports Tracker version: 2.06 Sports Tracker is installed on phone memory (not sd card) No other extra software is running that could give issues with Sports Tracker (clean installed phone). I really hope to see this problem being fixed as soon as possible. I run 4x a week and my N73 is always with me with Sports Tracker. If it is not possible to fix it i should have to buy a new phone. And that would be a HTC instead.
I am using 8520 curve I have set left side to to lock the keypad. When I updated the phone I lost the shortcut for locking the keypad. When I tried setting it up from option/screen/keyboard, I could not find option to set left side key to shortcut.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Curve 8520 's e button just stopped working, doesnt work no matter how hard you press. Sometimes will get assign speed dial to e or if i'm texting a capital E but it is completely random. Also at the same time when the screen times out it is unresponsive, the screen wont come up until you press any button many many times, found out that holding any button down will also make the screen reappear after a few seconds, also if you turn it off, the power button wont turn it back on, you have to take the battery out to get it on again, otherwise it works fine.

The lock keyboard option was 'a', and I clicked it and it locked the keyboard. I hadn't realized there was a lock for my keyboard (and had been searching for one). However, I can't get it unlocked. When I press the menu key, it pops up that 'keyboard is locked. Press the Mute button to unlock."
However, I don't know where the Mute button is, nor can I get it to unlock. My theme is precision zen (I believe) if that makes a difference.
how I can unlock my keyboard? how to successfully lock it in future? I guess I don't understand the speed dial aspect of the phone.
I am experiencing issues with the navigation button in my BB Curve8520. WIth ambient temperature over 35 degree the trackball does not work. Who shall I contact? I live in Germany but bought the BB in Switzerland.
