May 17, 2011My Keypad & Tracker button wont work on my 8520 i have had it 2 weeks and its not under wornty, i would like to try fix it.
It is NOT WATER DAMAGED I Don't know whats up with it but its really getting me mad

When this happens I remove the battery and it resets itself only to stop ringing a few hours later.This happens more quickly after any game play.Operating system is v5.0.0.900, platform 5.2.0.96

May 28, 2012My curve 8520 stops rebooting 75% of the way through and this has been left freezed, i try to used the desktop manager and doesn't detect my device. this problem come when i was updated the blackberry twitter. I went to a store and the blackberry technical said the problem it's a chip inside the device. i think thats not true.

Apr 3, 2011my phone experiencing some faults with the keypad, one minute all the keys are working and the some of then such as te 'o' and the 'L' and the 'G', i have tried everything to try and fix this problem and it still persists, i do not want to have to have replacement if this problem can be fixed i would be very happy, i ahve tried rebootin my phone by taking the battery out while the phone is switched on and this still does not work

Jan 2, 2012My daughter dropped her blackberry curve 8520 and now the keypad buttons don't work, everything seems ok with the phone as it boots up ok and she can move the cursor ok but can't click on anything and none of the buttons do anything. If you call the phone it rings but she can't answer a call etc. I have restored the phone to factory settings and reinstalled her own backed up data but it is still the same ..

Feb 9, 2011My wife has just started using a Curve 8520 and has had it for less than 1 month. In the past few days, they phone has started unlocking itself randomly. She's using the 'A' button to lock the keypad at which point the screen goes off (as I believe it should) and then after a minute or so, it unlocks itself and the screen comes back on.

Jul 27, 2012I was doing a reboot on my blackberry, as it was booting, at about 70% it just stops. I tried to connect it to the BB desktop manager so that I can try to update the device software, but it only connects to my pc when the battery is removed, when I put the battery back in, it disconnects then switches itself on, loads up till about 70%, then stops. I even tried leaving it the entire night with hope that it will get through that stage, but it still wont budge. I tried downgrading the OS to v4.6.1 but the phone doesn't switch on at all. So I upgraded back to v5.0.0 and it still gives me the same problem.

Jun 15, 2012I have a problem with my Curve 8520. This morning I received an update notification for the T Mobile app, so I upgraded in the usual way. The device then needed rebooting, so I clicked "Reboot now". The white bar that loads on the start up screen will not proceed further than about 3/4 of the way along. I have tried removing and reinserting the battery. I have tried holding the escape key while it loads up. I have also tried both of those while its plugged into the charger as well. Been trying for about 4 hours now to get the phone to restart, but with no success.

Jul 19, 2011i'm using a curve 8520 on 0S5.My letter 'A' in the keyboard suddenly won't work properly.. Just a soft touch and it would appear automatically... in Uppercase. Because of this, i am having a hard time when typing. i copy paste the lower case 'a' so typing would be easy.Also, since the 'lock' is also in that key, my phone would always lock automatically and with that... my phone seems to go 'off' and i would have to longpress any key so it would come alive again.i tried the application clean-up thing in the desktop manager as @BlackberryHelp tweeted me when i asked them about this but still there are no changes.. i also tried putting a tissue in the back of the metal plate thing.

Mar 27, 2012I have had a Samsung Galaxy S2 since christmas and I love it. However I have noticed more and more a fault I am having with my keypad. It doesn't seem to matter if I am using messaging, internet, facebook or something else - when I am typing quite often when I hit the 'd' key it just stops typing. It doesn't seem to happen with any other letters - just 'd'.
Once it has done this I cannot get it to type again. It will recognize suggestions where it shows spelling corrections (I am using swype keypad) but nothing is written on the screen. Even if I come out of it and go back it still wont work, the only way to get it to work again is to go into task manager and end the task and then start again.
BB Curve :: BBM Does Not Work For 8520
Oct 8, 2010I just got a new Blackberry Curve 8520 a couple of weeks ago and blackberry messenger has never worked. Regardless of whether I add someone else's pin or they try adding mine, the contact is always under pending. Also if I try sending a message to a pin on BBM it does not send, I just get the red cross. So yeah basically I can't add or recieve requests for contacts and I can't send messages either.
