Recently my 8520 screen just goes white and stops working. It restarts when I charge the phone and works properly till the next white" out which is becoming more frequent as the days go by. I read up a fix that has to do with disassembling the phone but i dont know how to go about it. Does anyone have any other fix or a guide on how to disassemble the phone?

View 14 Replies View Relatedthe problem started with the 8520 stop working... it will load then started to fade to white screen after using the app loader to restore the os the problem got worse... now even the app loader wont detect the blackberry it will detect for a second after batt removal then the app loader wont detect it anymore
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my Curve 8520. This morning I received an update notification for the T Mobile app, so I upgraded in the usual way. The device then needed rebooting, so I clicked "Reboot now". The white bar that loads on the start up screen will not proceed further than about 3/4 of the way along. I have tried removing and reinserting the battery. I have tried holding the escape key while it loads up. I have also tried both of those while its plugged into the charger as well. Been trying for about 4 hours now to get the phone to restart, but with no success.

After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

After I use the track pad to scroll upper left then upper right the bottom right and bottom left the screen is normal. Has anyone else had this issue?

After the Sprint screen, an 'uncaught inception' message pops up, then it proceeds to verify security software.....the screen turns bright white and a tiny message in the middle of the screen says: app error 523 with the word 'reset' highlighted under it.....I can't do anything but click on it, for it to shut down and go through the whole exact thing all over again..
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy dog got hold of my 8530 and put a toothmark in the screen cover. The screen was also damaged meaning I could see white and grey stripes. I bought a new screen and replaced the old one. Now when I turn it on, I get the white screen and i cannot dial out or recieve calls. Basically the phone is dead. I was able to connect to my desktop and install the latest OS version. I put the old screen back in and I still cannot recieve or dial. I must have done something while taking it apart or putting back together? It is a very simple procedure so I would think it difficult to screw it up. Before I took it apart, i could get phone calls and dial out but i couldnt see the outgoing or incoming call screen. I took the battery out before I took it apart. Now when I connect to my desktop, the connection comes and goes as if you were plugging and plugping in the device.

When I retrieved it, the screen is all white. I can not do anything with it. I am able to receive calls on it and I hear that I receive messages on it but I can not see anything! View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a BB Curve 8520 Smartphone (EDGE WIFI) v5.0.0.681.From almost a month now i am facing a problem whenever i m using my phn for more than 5mins in a stretch.Even while browsing internet or during call the screen jst blurs and goes totally white and then i have to take d battery out nd reinsert it and it will try to restart for a min or so nd again go sompletely white midway.The only way the phn restarts is by reinserting the battery while being attached to the charger.Although it doesnt have battery issues as when the phone starts again the battery indications are correct and doesnt show a drained out battery.I upgraded software frm BB website and also tried deleting all the new apps that i had downloaded but still the problem wont go.The phn works perfect and doesnt freeze even once when constantly connected to the charger.But practically thats not possible

The problem I am now having is that when I press the trackpad to open a link online nothing happens. I have to open the menu and click on Open Link.
