BB Bold :: Startup Loads To Half Way Then Stops?
May 12, 2012When I try to start up my phone the Blackberry logo and loading bar appears and loads but stops at half way and then does nothing. I've tried taking out the battery and sim card, putting in the charger etc but nothing works.

Jul 27, 2012I was doing a reboot on my blackberry, as it was booting, at about 70% it just stops. I tried to connect it to the BB desktop manager so that I can try to update the device software, but it only connects to my pc when the battery is removed, when I put the battery back in, it disconnects then switches itself on, loads up till about 70%, then stops. I even tried leaving it the entire night with hope that it will get through that stage, but it still wont budge. I tried downgrading the OS to v4.6.1 but the phone doesn't switch on at all. So I upgraded back to v5.0.0 and it still gives me the same problem.

Jun 15, 2012I have a problem with my Curve 8520. This morning I received an update notification for the T Mobile app, so I upgraded in the usual way. The device then needed rebooting, so I clicked "Reboot now". The white bar that loads on the start up screen will not proceed further than about 3/4 of the way along. I have tried removing and reinserting the battery. I have tried holding the escape key while it loads up. I have also tried both of those while its plugged into the charger as well. Been trying for about 4 hours now to get the phone to restart, but with no success.

May 15, 2010Recently my 8520 screen just goes white and stops working. It restarts when I charge the phone and works properly till the next white" out which is becoming more frequent as the days go by. Oct 4, 2011Just noticed in the last two-three days that an app automatically loads when rebooted called Startup2. I see it when I press and hold the menu button along with the normal icons for web, email, phone, home etc. If I select the Startup2 icon then the BB hangs/freezes. It does not open any new screen. My only way of regaining control is to press and hold the menu button again. where it came from and how I can get rid of it?

Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.

It can take me six or seven minutes to update my email. For a while, I couldn't access the App store for maybe two days. Now here comes the ultimate smack in the face: I bought the MLB At Bat app so I could stream live radio broadcasts of the games, but it won't actually pull up those broadcasts (it takes a while to "authorize" then ultimately says "playback error.") Is this normal?I am on Sprint; I do not have a WiFi connection.

Apr 23, 2012I have an iphone 4s and a MacBookPro 2.66 GHz . My I phone gets my yahoo mail off the yahoo server and this seems to cause mac mail on my laptop not to read it. I need help with the Iphone mail settings so that both devices can download new mail and not mark it as read. I just tried forwarding an email from my iphone so that I can have it on my laptop but the iphone got it first and clicking on the mac mail's "get mai" button did not produce the forwarded email I had just sent to myself.

Dec 7, 2014My IPhone 6 is connected to my home network and it says I have full bars, but nothing on the Internet loads(photos, videos, webpages, etc.). I've tried everything I know! I have restarted the router, restarted my phone, disconnect and rejoined the network. I'm guessing it has to be the phones probably because all the other devices in the house, such as computers and other Iphones, are connected to the same wifi and load perfectly fine. What could it be?

Anyway this problem surrounds the new maps 3.03 with free voice navigation that has been released. I have installed it numerous times but it starts for 20 seconds then switches back to the menu screen. I have uninstalled maps, done a factory restore on the phone and reistalled the operating system all to no avail. Is there anything else that can be done. I am in Ireland.

Feb 23, 2012A friend recently gave me a phone that was working fine. I went to sleep, next day nothing works. After pulling battery and it going through the loading screen, it will get to the home screen. Moving the rolling ball thingy is the only thing that works, it wont let you actually select anything. I have tried to do a "soft" reset ? by pressing alt/shift right/ and delete. Nothing happens when I do this. Eventually when the screen goes to "sleep" I guess nothing will make the home screen come up again.

I know the problem isn't too many texts in my inbox, since I delete them frequently & usually only have one or two brief conversations in them. When I start typing a contact's name in the sender box, my phone doesn't automatically search my contacts for autocomplete (or does so very slowly), even if I hit the OK button, which has occasionally sped up the process. Therefore, I have to go through my contacts manually & send the message from there. But this is still a problem, since my phone loads my contacts slowly, also. I do have a lot of contacts, probably around 800, because my phone is synced to my Facebook & Twitter accounts. However, I can't un-sync them because then I can't have Facebook or Twitter on my phone--there's no way to have site access without syncing my address book. This is getting to be very frustrating & super inconvenient.

Aug 11, 2010I have an ATT 8520 Curve unlocked to work with a tmobile sim card and have a few questions...Now that's unlocked I cant setup an external email account (hotmail, gmail, etc...) that icon is missing from the setup section. how can I get that feature? can I also use the bbm feature? I added a friend (and vice-versa) but it just stays as pending. is it possible to bbm? for the above 2 do i need to get the bb data plan so they can work? I've read elsewhere that the best way to get the features would be to load the tmobile handheld software. I went to tmobiles site, I enter my ph# - select the 8520 - click on handheld and it takes me to their 'shop for phones' page. I guess they now by the number that i dont currently have a bb. So I tried a friends ph# from tmobile who has a bb and it still took me to the 'shop for phones' page. So I Am hoping it's just a link glitch going on right now. I did download from this forum the 5.0 OS "8520wifiM_PBr5.0.0_rel860_PL5.2.0.47_A5.0.0.509_W ind_Hellas.exe" which obviously is not tmobile. What would loading this different OS allow me to do? Or what features will I have available? and I have lowercase 'edge'.
