Sony Ericsson :: W508 - Battery Loads To Just 98 Percent
Jul 20, 2010
Bought a w508 and its a really slim and great walkman phone but when I charge the battery it will not charge to more than 98% no matter how many hours. I have even charged it from the evening to morning but the same thing happens 98%.
I was searching and found one post where someone was able to get threaded SMS on their SE W508 but they said they used a firmware for another phone. And im afraid to start testing random firmwares on my phone incase I brick it, so does anyone know how to get a W508 to get threaded SMS.
i have eard about this codes, and what do you need a scaner ap, my w508 can do that?, and where i can download it?i want it to be able to download google translator for mobiles,o and btw, does w508 have an app to get wifi?
Mine is 8 months old and has been starting to turn off on its on own alot, started at first to be every now and then but since monday it has been happening everytime i go to send a txt or when i get half way through a text.I know thats a pretty bad fault but what would cause it? Any way to make my phone live longer as it seems it only has a little bit of life left in it? It always says after it 'inactive sim' or 'insert sim', it has been very well looked after, never dropped from a distance or been near water.
Thinking of buying one of these 2 phones and just wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. Can get hold of them quite cheap and both are the same price at 119gbp. I was thinking of the blue T707 or the white W508.
BATTERY CANNOT BE CHARGE PLEASE USE A SONY ERICSSON BATTERY. after flashing my phone. i got this error, i've tried changing my battery but the error is still there. my phone is K850i
Please help someone I have encountered my first Elm problem. Over night I charged the phone & this morning it's still charging & will not pass 66% charge. I took battery out put back in & charged with the phone off for another hour. When switched back on it was now @ 65% This was after another hour of charging with the phone off. I then did a master reset of all not just settings. Charged it up again for a further hour & still the charge is not increasing. Please help what the hell is going on? This battery has a mind of it's own. I have a feeling something has occured since I kept plugging & unplugging quite often the phone in & out of my pc. So maybe it's caused this I do not know. Please any suggestions this phone has been reliable upto this piont Esato Awards King of Garbage 2009/2010 & Best Debater 2009 x10 & Nokia N8
It's doing that whole "Can not charge battery, please insert a sony ericsson battery" when it is a Sony Ericsson battery Is there anyway to fix this without going to the store you got it from, its the third time this has happened and im sick of having to return it then go three weeks without a phone.
Whenever I do a battery pull my battery indication after reinsertion reads 0% and shows the battery as red. My battery indicator before the battery pull will read anywhere from 80% to 50% but after the battery pull the indicator changes to read zero and is shown in red. If I don't charge the phone it will die even though prior to the battery pull the charge was fine at 80% or so...
I'm pulling the battery because of memory shortages. I HAVE replaced the battery and I still get the same problem. Pulling the battery after this happens changes nothing. I've pulled the battery numerous times afterwards and I never get the battery indicator to read what it did before the battery pull. I don't dare pull the battery if I'm not near my charger as the phone will die in a matter of minutes...
I have to charge my Satio twice a day. Even though I did not use it to talk, just idle to test the battery, it only last for 20 hours. I am really disappointed with this situation. After refer to the Satio website it is stated the talking is 4.5hours. Do i need to send it to the service center for warranty claim?
My Vivaz does not warn me that my battery is about to discharge completely.I could not find a way to check this in the manual or in this forum...may be someone had the same problem and can help?
I have the aspen for a week now and i think there must be something wrong with the battery. The battery lasts for 36-48 hours only. I talk about 30 minutes per day and i don't use Internet, blue tooth or anything else, i just talk. Is it normal for the battery to last only 36 hours? I have updated the phone from day 1. Should i ask for a battery replacement? If i buy a new battery how many hours should i charge it the first time? Do i have to let the battery discharge before i charge it for the first time?
Im curious regarding may K810i, the battery life gets drained easily. It started when i connected my phone to a computer which i think have shorted or there is electricity static usb port. I notice it wen, i put my Usb Memory stick on the said port and the memory stick got damage and unusable.
Whats get me confused, i went to different repair shop and said the it is battery problem, the fact that i have 2 extra battery which when i use now dont last long (before it last 6 hours and now only and hour) and the original battery lasts for 2 days before and now lasts for 6 - 8 hours only.
One technician said the phone was shorted. but the other said it was a battery problem. But the sad part after saying the cause, they dont have parts for SE phone. The original battery cost high. Maybe anyone encountered same problem and can give an opinion wat to do..
I have a problem with battery.I let recharge all night and still Says "Low Battery" all the time and battery icon is not full but empty and a red light near infrared turn on and off i don't know what to do can someone help me with it please
I first bought my k750i in June 2005 and the battery has lasted fairly well over theses last few years but its become apparent that in the last few weeks since I've had to recharge it once a day that I need a new battery. I was wondering if there are any better quality batteries than the bst-37(its the battery that came with the phone) or should I just stick with it?
I have had this phone now for about 4 months and i like the phone a lot...i dont use the phone a lot at all realy may get 1 call a day and make 1 call a day and send receive some messages so i can go all most a week with out charging but in the last week it has started going flat in just 24 hrs...this happend once before and then i found that there was a app running so once i turned that off it was right but this time i cant find anything running...what should i do !
i have just got my vivaz pro and i am looking for buttons to touch where i can check the remaining battery level of the phone. is there such function for this phone?
I would really appreciate some help.my battery ran out and when i went to charge it its saying cannot charge please insert a Sony ericsson battery but it is a Sony ericsson battery and its the one i got with the phone its just stopped working could someone please help
I am not sure if others have a similar problem.but here it goes.so I got my Vivaz Pro in Hong Kong around July and I brought it back to Toronto, Canada. The phone is nice all along. However, in September (2 months after I bought the phone), the battery is starting to warn out for some reason.I have charged it for the whole night and it only charges for half the amount.Sometimes, is not even charge for the 10%.So I have thought is the battery's problem and got another back up battery. But nothing have changed, the phone is still not charging the battery.I read somewhere that this problem is because there is some error in the phone's motherboard itself, not a battery problem. Can anyone verify the above information? What should I do now since I am in Canada and Vivaz Pro is actually not out in Canada? My phone is still under a 1-year warranty, but I am not too sure if this goes international (like I can still send it to Sony Ericsson Canada for repair?).Someone please help me!
Every time I Charge the battery, it goes up to 97 or 98 %, and never pass it, even if I left the phone a whole night. Which means it never fully charge from the first time. And if unplugged it and plugged it immediately it reads it 100% directly.
Note that the problem was in the old software and the new one, I mean this problem isn't a software problem. So does that mean there is a defect in the battery, or that is just normal! " The phone is new I only charged it 4 times, and it happened in 3 of them".
I just purchased a brand new sony ericsson t715 3 days ago. before i went to bed i charged it when i woke up the next day 10 hours later i checked my phone and the battery icon in the top right hand corner showed it was still charging and it had the lighting bolt symbol. i checked the battery status and it said it was 99% charged. the weird thing is when i unplugged the charger from the phone the battery symbol in the top right hand corner was full? so to test it again i ran the battery down to 60% by talking and using the camera. so i charged it again. it got to 100% then I left the charger plugged in 20 minutes later the battery status went back to 99% and the battery icon indicated it was charging by the green bar moving. so i thought the phone was faulty so i took it back to the store and complained to the technician and the manager and they said that this was normal. they refused to replace it and said there is nothing wrong with it!! are they lying? what do you guys think? just it seems to me once you charge the battery and it reaches 100% and you leave the charger plugged in after 10-15 minutes the battery status drops to 99% and is stuck there no matter how long you charge it. the battery indicator would show that its charging. weird huh? im used to nokia phones and no nothing about sony ericssons. is this normal? if not how do i fix this?
put it on charge last night as i normally do, then when i looked at it after about an hour, it said: Cannot Charge Battery, Please use a Sony Ericsson Battery, I still had about 50% battery so i switched it on and it goes past the turn on / flight mode menu then theres just a white screen saying please insert correct sim. The red light is also flashing.
Symptoms: Phone wont charge. right off the box. Says "Battery cannot be charged, please use a Sony Ericsson Battery". It is a Sony Ericsson battery. It is a Sony Ericsson charger. Everything came out of the box.
I just opened it, and first thing I did was plug it into the wall. Now, I have installed the update service, tells me phone is up to date (downloaded straight from sonyericsson.com). I have installed Phone suite 6.01; tried a repair phone, aborts with an error when it comes to the update service (right after the remove batery, press C while connecting phone part). Also same thing with car charger.
