Jun 7, 2010My phone is on phone lock but it only needs a pin when you turn it on but i never turn my phone off. Is there a way to lock everything on my phone?

Nov 10, 2010Mine is 8 months old and has been starting to turn off on its on own alot, started at first to be every now and then but since monday it has been happening everytime i go to send a txt or when i get half way through a text.I know thats a pretty bad fault but what would cause it? Any way to make my phone live longer as it seems it only has a little bit of life left in it? It always says after it 'inactive sim' or 'insert sim', it has been very well looked after, never dropped from a distance or been near water.

Sep 2, 2010Today, I got a replacement for my Vivaz because it had broken and couldn't be fixed. When I put my memory card in which I used in my old vivaz, it still says there is no music, photos or videos. Although when I have put my memory card in different phones to check it hasn't been wiped or something, my stuff comes up. Just not when my memory card is in this new phone. When I remove my memory card it says "Unsafe to remove memory card without selecting remove memory card first."Is this some kind of setting, and is this whats causing the problem?

Jul 25, 2010Looking for some advice I just started using W995 it was my husbands and he has had no problems. Today I got the phone and have been transferring stuff of my own e.g. photos, mp3s etc using windows explorer. When I transfer them to a new folder on the memory card I get weird garbled looking files as well appearing in the folder.
I have tried: Formatting the memory card. Deleting the folder (which I have to do by switching the phone of and back on first as it says it cant delete as there are files in). Adding a new folder same thing happens. I can upload a picture if it helps.

Nov 6, 2010Got a problem with phone lock. After 2 years of not using this phone had to return to it because of issues with current phone, and after entering PIN, it asks for some code. Phone's language is not English, but I guess it's some phone lock or so. Tried all codes I've ever used and none of them works, I feel really dumb, because I don't even remember myself enabling such a codes, because I've always liked phones to boot up fast, not even using PIN. So I'd like to know how can I get rid of this code. Of course, I'm trying to find original manual and papers from when i bought this phone(no luck yet), but as warranty is over already, I don't think that it's gonna be for free, nor cheap.

Jan 19, 2010Like so many people here, i have also forgotten my phone Lock Code. So today i have decided to reset it anyhow and while playing with my phone K850i - A2 phone, db3150, BINGO, i found the way. May be this should work with all platform phones. But still this has to be confirmed by the owner of different platform phones. The solution is- look in your FS in this folder. tpa/preset/default now delete this file- 'security_domain_settings'. That's it. Your Phone Lock Code is reset to 0000.Before deleting you might want to back up that file. Though it is not required. Tested by me.Pls confirm this method by different platform phone users. edit: Just found that by deleting this file, it is not recreated. so there might be some functions which will not be able to use if you delete it. But by activating it, it serves the purpose. asking for passward and all. if you give wrong passward, it will not let you access. Do it at your risk. this means if you forget the passward again, you will not able to retrive it. edit 2 : By flashing the phone this file is recreated and you will have the same passward as you have set after deleting that file. In my opnion, just flash your phone after you use the above mentioned method.

Oct 23, 2010My W595 has stopped recieving messages. My SIM works fine in other phones & can recieve messages. I have been onto my network (3 Ireland) & they have gone through all the possibilities form a network perspective & a phone perspective (as far as was possible) to no avail. It is not the service centre number (I went through that with the network provider) & I have tried resetting the phone but it still didn't work. I have no saved messages or any messages in my inbox, outbox or drafts & I have 21MB of memory left on the phone & 1891 MB left on the memory card so I don't think it's memory issue. I can send SMS messages without a problem but I cannot recieve any. Would anyone be able to advise as to what the problem is? The phone is still under warranty so I'll get it replaced if necessary but this forum may be an easier & quicker way to get this problem taken care of.
