When I try to start up my phone the Blackberry logo and loading bar appears and loads but stops at half way and then does nothing. I've tried taking out the battery and sim card, putting in the charger etc but nothing works.
View 1 RepliesI have had my phone since last september and its only now that i am having problems with it. I was using it this morning working fine, till i locked the screen. When i tried to unloack it only the top half of the screen shows an image the other half barely visible and i have this wierd lines trying to scroll down the screen like its trying to load. I have not dropped my phone or knocked it or anything. I have taken very good care of it so i am suprised to be having this issue. I have tried taking the battery and putting it back it and i have also tried doing a hard reset. still no luck. I cant even setup the phone again since i cant use the bottom half of the screen. I tried rotating it hoping it would work but no luck. so the phone is practically useless to me right now.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOccurred 3rd time in last 2 months(well spread incidents) - Photon just starts rebooting continously on its own (shuts down - loads back to the startup screens - connects to sprint - shuts down again..... loop continues non stop). During the restarts if it is un-noticed for a while the phone gets very hot. The only way to stop is to pull the battery out, after which it starts fine.Not sure what the issue is. Any thoughts? Would not prefer to do a factory reset as there is no observed pattern, all three incidents were when phone was not being used and was in the pocket. No extra apps are running generally whenever I check through the task manager - I cannot check while the phone is rebooting though.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9780. When I click on any of my bookmarks or type in any web address, the loading bar at the bottom of the page goes inch by inch and says "Requesting...." Then when it gets all the way to the end, it just stays there still reading "Requesting..." And the page is blank. I've tried restarting my phone, pulling out the battery and nothing works. The only web address that seems to work is my bookmark to Google Translate. IDK why that one, but it works... I miss my internet!

The bottom half of the display is less bright than the upper half.
It came into contact with water but not in a high amount, about five drops hit the iphone and I dried them imminently away.

Half of the screen(diagonally half) is white/grey with a black splotch and the other half you can barely read it but it still works aside from the screen "jumping" up and down, having a plaid design to it that keeps shaking and keeps changing colors but I don't know whether it has water in it or not or what the problem is!
View 1 Replies View RelatedOver night my bb 9700 shut off. when i tried to turn it on, it didnt come on. so i did the battery pull. bb starts to reboot but got half way and went to a white screen. so i do another battery pull and it comes up white screen. another battery pull, starts to reboot and half way through it turns off completely. i am not getting an error message. i have not upgraded my os, have not added anything new to it for over two or three weeks. bb was working great when i went to sleep.

Plugged my phone in and went to sleep woke up the next morning to a white screen, restarted (pulled battey) and the home screen won't come back. Nothing happens when I turn phone on, just get black screen. When I plug phone in to charge red light comes on as usual then black screen with charging battery (white battery with yellow lighting bolt) then with in 5 minutes screen changes to white battery with red "X" through it. I've tried leaving it plugged in for days to see if it was a problem with the charge. I've tried a new battery, I've tried putting tin foil between battery and phone.

It wanted to do an update while I was in a wifi zone and then thigns started going wrong from that day.So what happens is i'll be scanning thru the icons and they'll just open without me clicking on them. Also, when texting or using bbm, my msg will send without me clicking send. So I will be half done a msg and it'll send. View 5 Replies View RelatedToday I attempted to upgrade to the new 5.0 OS via Desktop Manager. The backup was completed and software installed. The process stalled on the reboot portion. My phone turned on, and I saw the blackberry screen with the loading bar below. The loading bar filled up and then my usual AT&T World Phone orange screen came up (which usually lasts for about 5 seconds before the home screen comes up). However, the orange screen lasted over an hour. Since the software was already installed I did a battery pull. The phone started up to the same AT&T screen and stops. The backlight still dims as usual, and comes back up on a button push but its stuck there with no home screen, now for another 3 hrs. It won't allow me to try to wipe or reinstall the OS because the phone has to be started to do so, and it says it can't connect to the phone (but it does recognize my device when its plugged into the computer). I have searched the forums for similar problems but haven't found any others with my problem.

It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference.
