When I plug in my torch at first the bolt comes up but then half way through charging the plug comes up and it isn't finished charging. What can I do about this.

For the past 4-5 days I have only been receiving some of the emails that are on Yahoo Mail when checked online. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. Two emails from same sender - sometimes only one will be on BB inbox. There are not any filters set up on the BB.I have tried resetting to factory default and restoring to a backup from BB Desktop. I can send emails fine from the BB - sometimes the auto BCC works sometimes not. The Torch is about 11 months old and worked perfectly prior to this.

View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen I plugged my phone into the computer to charge, an update came up on bb desktop manager - to update to the 6.0 Bundle 2467 - and I began the update. After a few minutes I realized that I should back up my phone before updating but bb desktop wouldn't let me - it said that IT needed to update. So the device software update paused until the desktop update was complete. When it was finished, the device update continued...and I didn't backup.
Somewhere in the middle of the update (after about a half hour) the phone blinked, there was a funny "beep" and a message came up that the update could not continue. The phone had rebooted but was stuck at about 65%. I let it sit for a few minutes, still not moving. Pulled the battery, let it sit for a few minutes like that and re-inserted. Started to reboot, then stalled again at the same spot. Pulled the battery after another few minutes and waited about 15 minutes.
When I put the battery back in, the phone quickly booted up completely...but because the updater stalled mid-update Everything is lost! Contacts, Calendar, Memos. Is there any way at all to recover anything?? Or is all my data lost somewhere in cyberspace? There is a small file, about 5MB called Blackberry Contacts so I thought I could sync the files from there, but I don't know how!
I had my torch 9800 almost a year now and I woke up saturday morning to find it completely off and it was on charge all night, I've tried taking the battery out and putting it back in. I've also had the battery out for 24 hours and when I put it back in the red light comes on for about 20 seconds (steady not flashing) and the goes off but that's only happened the once other than that I've had no luck. I've left it on charge tried a different battery and it still doesn't work. I've also put by battery in another torch and it works fine.

I have tried removing my protective privacy screen and still no dice. Is anyone else having this issue. I love the phone, but am thinking of switching to the Bold or iPhone since I have not had a reliable phone yet.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been getting an incredible amount of spam recently. So I've tried setting up filters on my BB Torch 9800. If I set up only two or three filters, it seems to work fine. But if I set up more than that, the BB just stops receiving all emails, not just the filtered ones. I've checked to see that I've clicked the right options. I'm not, apparently. So what's the trick to setting up lots of filters to kill of this wretched spam? In Outlook, of course, it's easy -- I can set up rules to stop the **bleep** reaching my in-box -- and I was hoping it was going to be similarly easy to do on the BB. But it isn'.

I have removed all of the pictures from the contacts on outlook but the error message still appears.
I have uncheck the picture and attachment fields in the DM but the error message still appears.
When I try to start up my phone the Blackberry logo and loading bar appears and loads but stops at half way and then does nothing. I've tried taking out the battery and sim card, putting in the charger etc but nothing works.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI ordered two of them, one the micro usb port inside the pod was a little more loose than the other. The more loose one was easier to get into place and take out than the other one. I also noticed that the micro usb port on both pods were kinda tilted the opposite directions, very strange.
I love the old pods that have the charging contacts because it save your usb port, but now that this one has to use the usb port I am not too sure. Though now you can sync to your computer if connected that way.I will begin using the pod at work this week, hopefully I like it.
Does anyone elses battery get hot when charging?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't believe that RIM designed such a stupid charging pod for the Torch! I had the pod for my 9700 and that was slick with those little metal contacts on the bottom. Very easy to just drop phone into pod. But with the new Torch, the pod is a physical connection into the micro USB port on the side of the phone!! What were they thinking??!! Isn't the idea of a pod supposed to be for the ultimate in charging ease and to prevent unnecessary wear on the USB connection?

I tried charging but even then its not showing any charging symbol nor its its turning on, And I tried a new battery then it got on but after 2min its getting restart repeatedly even then its not charging if I plug it to charger, but I tried my old battery in another torch its charging properly. I'm an happy owner of a lumia 1520. unfortunately i discovered that randomly (more or less once per week) the phone audio service / device completely stops, i cannot hear calls, xbox music or other players fail to play files and so on. xbox music reports error 8007045D. I have to restart the device to solve the issue.
