Does anyone know if anyone has released or is planning to release a proper charging car cradle made specifically for the Torch?I had the Bury cradle for my old Bold 9000 and it was fantastic.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI ordered two of them, one the micro usb port inside the pod was a little more loose than the other. The more loose one was easier to get into place and take out than the other one. I also noticed that the micro usb port on both pods were kinda tilted the opposite directions, very strange.
I love the old pods that have the charging contacts because it save your usb port, but now that this one has to use the usb port I am not too sure. Though now you can sync to your computer if connected that way.I will begin using the pod at work this week, hopefully I like it.
Does anyone elses battery get hot when charging?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI can't believe that RIM designed such a stupid charging pod for the Torch! I had the pod for my 9700 and that was slick with those little metal contacts on the bottom. Very easy to just drop phone into pod. But with the new Torch, the pod is a physical connection into the micro USB port on the side of the phone!! What were they thinking??!! Isn't the idea of a pod supposed to be for the ultimate in charging ease and to prevent unnecessary wear on the USB connection?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a bb torch 9800 it was working really awesome but all of a sudden when I woke up in morning it was switched off. I tried charging but even then its not showing any charging symbol nor its its turning on, And I tried a new battery then it got on but after 2min its getting restart repeatedly even then its not charging if I plug it to charger, but I tried my old battery in another torch its charging properly. I took it to bb authorised service center they told me its mother board fault, but I can't believe it bcoz its just 6months old.

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
Title speaks for its self. They just posted on there wall they will be offering it. No details as to when/price.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist.

Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?

The question is I live outside US and I need to get it unlocked.Now, I saw that at at&t store, they are selling the torch for 499 dollars without contract. I am sure this is locked.If I can get this phone (I know I need to get someone with at&t to go with me to buy it), I can unlock it. This is for sure, right?
I see that some sites are selling it for 599 and 699 dollars but I dont want to pay the extra amount if I can get it unlocked.
