I've noticed that my battery drains easily. I bought my torch less than a week. I did a lot of stuffs just to save the power of my battery but it seems useless. The Lightningbolt was lost while im charging. I tried ti charge it while its of but again, it was useless

View 5 Replies View RelatedI ordered two of them, one the micro usb port inside the pod was a little more loose than the other. The more loose one was easier to get into place and take out than the other one. I also noticed that the micro usb port on both pods were kinda tilted the opposite directions, very strange.
I love the old pods that have the charging contacts because it save your usb port, but now that this one has to use the usb port I am not too sure. Though now you can sync to your computer if connected that way.I will begin using the pod at work this week, hopefully I like it.
Does anyone elses battery get hot when charging?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI can't believe that RIM designed such a stupid charging pod for the Torch! I had the pod for my 9700 and that was slick with those little metal contacts on the bottom. Very easy to just drop phone into pod. But with the new Torch, the pod is a physical connection into the micro USB port on the side of the phone!! What were they thinking??!! Isn't the idea of a pod supposed to be for the ultimate in charging ease and to prevent unnecessary wear on the USB connection?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is regarding my bb torch 9800. I just did an update directly from the bb website and NOT from a desktop icon. All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. This is my first bb so clearly i had no clue about doing a sync to my sim card. Is there any way that I can save all that lost contact info?

When I scroll the Synch options contact and calendar are missing. When I go to Device and Advance Settings and Default Services only my webmail accounts are shown and none of my outlook email accounts. How can I get back to synching with my outlook folder?

I tried charging but even then its not showing any charging symbol nor its its turning on, And I tried a new battery then it got on but after 2min its getting restart repeatedly even then its not charging if I plug it to charger, but I tried my old battery in another torch its charging properly. I took it to bb authorised service center they told me its mother board fault, but I can't believe it bcoz its just 6months old.

And when i try to restore on my new 9810 it says "This data is already wirelessely synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect" only for contacts. And i've archived the device by mistake n now it shows "Remote admin commands are not available on archived devices".

I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Over the last 24 hours i've notice my Xperia Z2's battery is draining very quickly, even when asleep. Even when it is plugged in charging, i keep getting messages saying the phone is unable to charge as it is using too much power. And previously i could charge the phone overnight fully, now it doesn't get close to 40%
In addition to this I've noticed it is kicking out a lot of heat at the top of the phone, and also i can no longer connect to the internet via wifi.
Everything else seems ok, and i have managed to back up my data to an sd card. I haven't added any new apps recently.
I've had the phone for less than a year and as far as i know it hasn't had any heavy drops or anything.
iPhone won't reload. Lost battery power and the phone would not turn on after charging. Tried the restore and get to "Restoring phone" but the status bar on the phone never fills in. Restarted my Mac, did not have a problem connecting with Apple.
