I seem to have lost the 'Zoom' ability on the camera ! (Torch 9800) Yes, it is turned on in the settings but can't operate when trying to take photos (with finger on screen nothing shows) - it works on viewing pictures taken ! Tried turning off zoom then saving and then resetting and saving but to no avail.

View 8 Replies View RelatedThis is regarding my bb torch 9800. I just did an update directly from the bb website and NOT from a desktop icon. All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. This is my first bb so clearly i had no clue about doing a sync to my sim card. Is there any way that I can save all that lost contact info?

When I scroll the Synch options contact and calendar are missing. When I go to Device and Advance Settings and Default Services only my webmail accounts are shown and none of my outlook email accounts. How can I get back to synching with my outlook folder?

Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I do alot of single handed typing/everything on this phone and it's impossible with my hands to reach the keyboard lock button. It also increases the risk i will drop my phone in the lake when boating because the only way to single handedly reach the keyboard lock is to remove my right hands pinky from below the phone thats holding it up, pinch the screen to twist it and then press the button (all single handedly).
I have lost the ability to scroll in certain situations. I can scroll across by applications in the main screen and to the sound profile button but not within the sound profile options. The alt key will not allow me to shift to the punctuation but gives me a capital instead. Have I inadvertently changed setting somehow?

And when i try to restore on my new 9810 it says "This data is already wirelessely synchronized with a remote service and cannot be restored by blackberry protect" only for contacts. And i've archived the device by mistake n now it shows "Remote admin commands are not available on archived devices".
