I am getting constant app errors and it is rebooting on its own. When I hook it up to the Dewsktop Software it recognizes a device with my PIN but never initializes and eventually stops. How can reload the OS if it never gives me the option or am I done for?
View 1 RepliesI'm on my second Torch in 3 days. My touch screen stops working. my second phone is now having the same issue after 8hrs of having it. I have tried removing my protective privacy screen and still no dice. Is anyone else having this issue. I love the phone, but am thinking of switching to the Bold or iPhone since I have not had a reliable phone yet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been getting an incredible amount of spam recently. So I've tried setting up filters on my BB Torch 9800. If I set up only two or three filters, it seems to work fine. But if I set up more than that, the BB just stops receiving all emails, not just the filtered ones. I've checked to see that I've clicked the right options. I'm not, apparently. So what's the trick to setting up lots of filters to kill of this wretched spam? In Outlook, of course, it's easy -- I can set up rules to stop the **bleep** reaching my in-box -- and I was hoping it was going to be similarly easy to do on the BB. But it isn'.

I have removed all of the pictures from the contacts on outlook but the error message still appears.
I have uncheck the picture and attachment fields in the DM but the error message still appears.
As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have taking the battery out and restarting my phone so many times. The blackberry bar fully loads, then it takes about 20 minites to get past my virgin media screen. Before my phone started playing up, I had it on clock, and whenever it eventually restarts it goes to clock.. the little timer thing comes up for about 20 minites, it moves a little bit, freezes for another 20 and then goes to app error. I don't know what I'm ment to do!:'( Whats not working

So i ended up purchasing another LCD Display and changed it all out myself, however, my screen has lines going through the screen and it is not responding to my touch, I think that it has something to do with the connecters for the screen because sometimes I might be able to see the wallpaper and then sometimes the screen will be white with the lines going through it.

When charging my iPhone and get a text (or any other activity takes place), the screen is greyish and dim, and if I slide across to unlock the screen, it goes dimmer and eventually fades away to black. I then have to lock the screen and unplug my phone to be able to read the text or get to whatever I need.

I've owned my Motorola Triumph for the past month. While I have been pretty happy with it, I have been having SD card reader issues over the past couple of weeks. My phone will suddenly stop recognizing my SD Card (a Topram 32 gb). I'll put the card in my computer and it reads it just fine. Also, if I put a different card in my phone it will also refuse to read that card as well. I have powered down, pulled the battery, etc. I did do one hard reset once which took care of the problem, but seems to be happening every 2-3 days now. It will eventually recognize the card after several shut downs, but this is proving very frustrating as there is not pattern or specific cause to this. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or a firmware issue.

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I synchronise my laptop to my BB Torch 9800, which has been working okay (ish), I now get an error for a calendar entry that doesn't exist. It comes up during the process to state I should remove the entry and try again.
However, it is not listed in any of my calendars and was an old entry I removed a while back but for some reason still thinks its there.

I want to use my blackberry as audio device when riding my bike. However i noticed that it just stops playing music when there is a new notification, once thats has been cleared, it just resumes playing. This is highly unusable 'cause the torch is somewhere in my jacket.
I saw that this was a common problem and i find it very unlicky that cracking my blackberry (which i bought for 800$) is the only solution to make it work like a 20$ mp3 player.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website.
